Dr. George performed surgery and now the glaucoma is under control. He is a warm and caring person who will spend as much time with you as you require. The down side of this is that you could have some wait time, because as I said, if you have something that be taken care of during your appointment, he will do it then if feasible. But the wait is worth it. I would not have it any other way.

I wish they had talked with me longer about my options and what I could reasonably expect. The doctor suggested I just get the single vision regular lens, because the other types might cause halos around lights, but he didn't say why I was not a good candidate for them as opposed to other people. As it is I am thinking I would have been better off waiting longer to get cataract surgery since the thing I was expecting didn't happen which was better distance vision for driving. Instead I now have to use glasses for close up vision and it's not very satisfactory. In fact it's not near as good as my natural near vision was.

I had done some research regarding the…read moreprocedure and asked a few questions (if a kenalong injection would be used, how long an eye patch would be needed, etc.) Dr. Cordero responded by laughing and rolling his eyes. He then proceeded to lecture regarding his many years of experience even expressing that none of his other patients ever ask him questions about this procedure and concluded by asking if we could just let him do his job or go somewhere else. I was astounded that a doctor would speak to a patient so disgustedly just for wanting to be well informed before putting a blade to my eye. Needless to say we decided to have the procedure done elsewhere where we felt more comfortable and confident in the physician performing the removal.
