NO SOUP FOR YOU!!! (Or anything else for that matter) The service is non-existent. They will seat you but you won't ever see a waitress.

Almost empty on a Saturday afternoon and after the hostess seated us, we got completely ignored. Maybe 5 tables in the place, after 10 minutes the hostess came back to take our drink orders. We got one of two drinks as the hostess was too young to serve a beer. After ANOTHER fifteen minutes my beer had not arrived and the bartender was not coming over, no waitress had appeared either. This used to be a good place, I used to meet friends there and have groups there, sometimes I would stop in before a ballgame. It's really s shame. I hope they sell it to someone in the service business because it's now the worst restaurant in Akron. Seriously, it would be better off if they just closed the doors. Just don't let the fired employees go to Jimmy Johns because that's where I had to go to get served right away. Also, mop the pee up in the men's room once in a while. Disgusting.

There were more wings and lots more fries! After testing the delicious food is when I took the picture! Lol

This place is NEVER staffed correctly - always slow. SLOW. The kitchen is slow - SLOW - and the food isn't that complicated or good.

Working in downtown Akron and being in the mood for a burger, I was too lazy to drive to Louie's for a hamburger.

The food. The food is very good. We tried three different wing flavors. The house made buffalo, the Thai chili, and the citrus jerk wings. They fell off the bone and were delicious. I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger. The pickles on it as well are homemade or made from a company nearby, but they're also very good and different than any you get at the store. I will definitely be back. This was very good on a day where we stopped at 3 places and this happened to be the last.

Steak night on Fridays is not to be missed, but you'll get something good no matter when you go--burger night, wing night, or Taco Tuesday. Plus weekly and monthly chef specials that always delight. If the food is a key attraction to Frank's, their secret weapon is the staff. They're lovely people who will know your drink of choice and seem like old friends before long. I can't say enough good things about them. And if all that weren't enough, there's karaoke every Sunday night that has to be experienced to be believed. I can't say I've been anywhere else where a local parish priest belts out Frank Sinatra tunes... but that's just a Sunday night at Frank's Place on Market.

The service is good at Franks and the bartenders are friendly and can carry a conversation. Atmosphere is very eclectic - see my pictures. The food specials are a deal so make sure to check those out. I had the cowboy burger on this visit but have also had the NY strip which is good. The cowboy burger is sautéd onions, cheddar, bacon and candied jalapeños. Handmade burger and very tasty. Only complaint is the burger was thick but not wide enough to cover the bun. Bad pic, but the friday steak dinner is a 12-oz sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes. For $16 this is a great deal.

Firehouse Tavern - Honest Review…read more We stopped in because one of the ladies in our group was craving sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told they're no longer on the menu--even though they still appear on the website. Our waitress explained there's a new manager and they currently don't have access to update the online menu. The atmosphere felt cold and very empty when we arrived, so we asked for something warm to drink. The only options were Coke products, so five of us settled for simply a cup of hot water. There were nine of us total, and the food came out sporadically. We tried to wait until everyone had their meal, but the timing made it a little awkward. On a positive note, I ordered the House on Fire Jalapeño Popper Burger. It came with crispy bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. The menu said the jalapeños were deep-fried, though I only received soft ones. However -- the burger was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium, and it came out pink inside, which told me the patties are made fresh. My side was the homemade potato chips, but they were just dry fried potatoes without much flavor or crisp. Once everyone finally had their food, the waitress disappeared. I ended up going to the bar myself to ask for water, and was handed a plastic cup with no ice. We didn't see the waitress again until she came around with the checks. The good news is: They do take credit cards The restaurant is wheelchair accessible -- but only if the correct parking spot is open. Once the lot fills (about 10 cars), the incline makes it nearly impossible for a handicap van to park safely. My burger, fries, and cup of water came to about $15. Overall, I'm not sure I'd return. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals, but between the missing menu items, slow service, and lack of warmth in the atmosphere, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.
