Website not working properly so you cannot see any flower areangements to choose what you want to send. Very disappointing

I ordered birthday flowers online around noon on a Wednesday for same day local delivery. I received a voicemail later that afternoon that they were closed at noon that day and were unable to deliver the flowers, even though their hours clearly state 9-5. I was extremely disappointed, they were for a friends 30th birthday, but I understand stuff happens. Even when you do everything according to the rules things can fall through the cracks. All I wanted at this point was an apology and maybe a little compensation. I judge companies by the customer service. I called back the next morning around 10, left a message and received a call back around 11. The lady I spoke with was Chris. She is probably not an ideal candidate for customer service; hopefully she is amazing at arranging flowers. Right off the bat I could tell it wasn't going to be a very fun conversation. She was very blunt and rude, she insisted that the order needed to be in by noon to be delivered same day. I cited her website delivery policy and she stated that she wasn't in the previous day and whoever was in was too busy to process my order. At that point I was confused because I thought they had closed at noon that Wednesday. Whatever, I was trying to be polite I just wanted the flowers sent to my friend (even though timeliness didn't really matter because I had already missed her birthday). She told me there are two options, they can deliver the flowers or give me a refund, that's it. No apology, no offer of a nicer bouquet, no offer of a percentage off a future order nothing. I asked her if there was a possibility of getting the flowers delivered and getting a refund. I figured I'd attempt the most extreme option and hopefully haggle with her to meet a good compromise so that we'd both satisfied, but she said I had those two options previously mentioned and offered no other solutions. She was rude and aggressive throughout the conversation, but I don't like to be combative so in a fit of frustration I told her to refund me the money and forget about the delivery. She responded with as soon as Mrs. Amedeo is in my money will get refunded. So now I'll have to call back again this afternoon to get some verification that my refund was processed. I try to support local businesses as much as possible but this has left a bad taste in my mouth, as it stands I would not recommend this flower shop to anyone in the area. I had read a couple reviews about them and they were all centered around their customer service. I figured I had ordered flowers dozens of times from dozens of places and have never had a problem, this order was simple and I shouldn't even have to worry about the customer service if they make great arrangements that's all that matters. I was wrong. I should know a company no matter how big or small needs to have great customer service. The better the customer service is the more they care about their customer. It was made abundantly clear to me that they could care less about their customer.

Caine's saves me when I am in a pinch. By 'pinch' I mean when I forget to send my mom or my sister…read morea birthday, Christmas or holiday gift. It's not always possible to drive 6+ hours to be there for every milestone but it's pretty easy to send my presence in the form of flowers or a gift. While I generally just pick the basic flower arrangement they would never know it by what comes delivered to their homes. Caine's always seems to deliver beautiful flowers that hit the spot, brighten the room and cheer up the soul. I feel like the flowers always end up looking better than what is advertised on the website! And while I have submitted tons of online orders I had not worked with anyone at the shop, until this weekend. I was aggressive in trying to get a flower delivery to my sister overnight (on a Saturday) for her actual birthday and, just my luck, after I placed the order, I received a call from the shop shortly after my order was placed to let me know did not have a specific type of flower for the arrangement I ordered. As any great business would do, he offered to use other flowers to make a 'pretty' arrangement to get out to her. They turned out beautifully and they arrived timely. He left no name and I forgot to ask but to whoever helped make this possible, thank you! I like that I can #shoplocal without being local, and am thankful Caine's always gets it right. Happy customer!
