Soft, shiny boy!

I happened in here thinking they may have a do it yourself dog wash, and while they didn't, they fit in my big Golden Retriever in on the spot. He just needed a bath for a family get together and Liz was so great with him. She took her time and washed, blow dried and brushed him. He even laid his head on her shoulder while blow drying him so he knew she was taking care of him. He even left with a new shark bandana! I would absolutely bring my dog back for a proper grooming!

Razor burn on belly.

I have two doodles, 50 lbs each. One 8 years old who has gold stars is gentleness and patience. The other dog is 2 years old and has a lot of energy but only really struggles with getting her nails cut. Pros: -customer service was great, very professional -the facility was seemingly very clean -at first look, the cuts looked good Cons: - out of the 8 paws from my two dogs THEY CUT EVERY QUICK BUT 3! Meaning they cut the tips of my dogs toes off. And one toe was so short that my dog was showing signs of pain. -NOT JUST RAZOR BURN, BUT CUTS ON THEIR FACE, UNDERARMS, & BELLY. I didn't see any cuts on their buttholes, but one of my dogs had really bad razor burn. I had to put Neosporin on it. -the kennel my dogs were put in were small and made me feel uncomfortable, it was tall enough for them to stand up, but not turn around - pay by cash or check only - my dogs most likely weren't given any water while they were there, they each drank a bowl of water each as soon as they got home

I have taken my dog here about 5 times now always great results. This last time, my dog looked great aside from the close shaves that were done. My poor dog needed a cone and cream from the vet. The groomer did apologize and we were able to move forward to ensure it will not happen again.

Gash on my dogs paw. You can see they didn't even cut her nails and chopped her paw up.

They SEVERELY gashed my dogs paw and blamed it on my dog!! AND They still charged me! They took 5 hours to groom my dog... then when I picked her up they said she got nicked. I was in a major hurry when I picked my dog up because they took so long. My dog bolted out the door as soon as she could. So I put her in the car right away. It wasn't until I got home that I saw how bad she was bleeding. I had to disinfect and bandage her paw for 3 days. She got blood on my rugs, furniture and bedding. The gash was so large the bleeding took 2 days to stop. My dog has been getting groomed once a month for 12 years. This has NEVER HAPPENED before. To make matters worse I realized that they didn't even complete the groom that they charged me for. They have some young inexperienced groomers learning to groom on our pets. Terrible and dangerous business practice. If they keep this up they will permanently injure someone's pet. ABSOLUTELY IRRESPONSIBLE!!

Jamie has always done a good job and when I pick my dog up, he's my normal dog and does not seem traumatized.

*****Please Tip Your Groomer******…read more I have been using the Gentle Groomer Too for over four years now. First, I brought my dachshund and lab into the Gentle Groomer Too and now I bring my Malinois. Their prices are fair and their services are top notch. Bridget has groomed all three of my boys exclusively for four years. As much as I hate to admit it, they like her more than they like me. I have never seen a dog get excited to get bathed and have their nails trimmed, but my boys love going to see Bridget! She is caring, sweet, talented, and patient. Many of my friends and co-workers also go to the Gentle Groomer Too and I have never heard any negative comments about their visits. I now live 40 minutes away but I continue to use Bridget and the Gentle Groomer Too so my boy looks, smells, and feels great! I recommend the Gentle Groomer Too to everyone and will continue to use them for years to come. Their shop has a happy, clean, and caring atmosphere that puts me and my boys at ease. The staff are always friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you and your furry loved one are comfortable. I have nothing negative to say about The Gentle Groomer Too or the ladies that work there. Do your self and your pup a favor... go see them! P.S. They are very busy so it helps to schedule visits ahead of needing a groom.

I wish I could give zero stars…read more We have been bringing our dog to Carissa for grooming for a while. Early on, after one visit our dog developed an ear infection from water getting into his ear. I paid the vet bill and chose not to make a big deal out of it because things happen. We continued going and things seemed mostly fine until today. On Monday they called asking if I could move our Friday appointment to Tuesday. I agreed and brought my dog in at the time they requested, 2:00 PM. When we dropped him off, we asked when they closed and were told 5:00 PM and that he would be ready around 4:45. They normally call when he is ready. Around 4:50 I still had not received a call so I phoned to check. The woman who answered said she would check and came back saying he was ready. We arrived at 4:55. After waiting for a couple ahead of us to pay, we paid and tipped as we always do. Usually they bring him right out, but this time they did not. I walked toward the back desk thinking he would be coming out any second. That's when I heard someone yelling aggressively and cursing at my dog. I looked behind the door to confirm it was Carissa and asked, "Excuse me, are you talking to my dog that way?" She immediately denied it. Another girl was in the room and when I asked, she said "it wasn't me," meaning she wasn't the one speaking to him that way. What made this even worse was that my dog was still on the grooming table being cut, meaning he was not actually ready when they told me he was. It was already close to closing time. She immediately changed her tone and said he was doing great, then rushed him off the table covered in hair. His nails were not finished and the overall grooming job was terrible. But the unfinished groom is not even the main issue. The way my dog was being spoken to and handled is completely unacceptable. No animal should ever be yelled at or cursed at like that. If this is how pets are treated when owners are not watching, people deserve to know. I will never bring my dog back here. If you care about how your pet is treated, I strongly suggest finding another groomer.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE FOR GROOMING!!!! I had been bringing my long haired Dachshund here for…read moregrooming every 3-5 months, and for regular nail trims. Today when I picked him up from being groomed they cut his hair all the way down. The groomer said she checked the notes and this is what they "have always done". WRONG he has NEVER had his hair shaved down. The owner Luke apologized and stated that his health is not affected. Also WRONG Luke! He is an 8 year old black double coated dog and we are heading into the warm summer months. My senior black fur dog just lost the ability to maintain his temperature regulation. What groomer would not know that you are not supposed NEVER shave down a long haired Dachshund as it damages the coat and impairs the dogs ability to regulate temperature. A knowledgeable groomer would know that long haired Dachshunds are DOUBLE COATED and their undercoat protects them from heat in the summer and cold in the winter. A knowledgeable groomer would know that shaving down their fur can damage their permanent coat preventing it from growing back properly. Poor guy it looks horrible and I'm praying that somehow we are lucky and it grows back in without being permanently damaged. This is going to impact my dogs entire summer as he will have to avoid being in the sun. So no long walks or hikes for him. So you are WRONG Luke this is more than cosmetic and goes way beyond my dog looking absolutely horrible. This definitely affects his health and his life. BEWARE AND NEVER BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!!!
