He was very demanding of his staff and most of the time seemed to have an attitude in his voice. God forbid he asked them nicely to do something. I also didn't appreciate the way he talked to my mother as though he was ordering her around. On top of that, he seemed quite miserable like he really didn't want to be at his job and I'm sorry but if you're a vet, I feel you should enjoy helping animals & not act like such a miserable person. We also paid an arm and a leg since our cat ended up needing an X-ray & antibiotics on top of other things. I did research and the average I should have paid was $200-$300 for everything (without pet insurance), but we ended up paying $525. I will NEVER go back there again mainly due to the rudeness of the male vet. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE YOUR PET'S CARE MATTERS.

A little context, I have a two year old Bernese Mountain Dog that I have been struggling to find a…read moregroomer for due to his size. I had called Horton's to see if they would be willing to trim/groom my Berner, explaining in depth that he weighs approximately 120lbs and is not yet neutered. I explained that he does not like bath time but is non aggressive, and still has a lot of energy. The owner explained that this would be absolutely no problem due to them owning large dogs themselves. Long story short, I took Ranger to this facility on the day of his appointment. As a puppy, specifically not neutered and at a completely new facility he tends to want to sniff around. The owner immediately seemed dismissive and rude, shaking her head and groaning. Upon entering the building, I pointed out the cat sitting on the window sill, to which the owner stated "Keep him away from the cat." (At a DOG kennel.) Then they took Ranger to the back and the owner asked me to fill out paperwork. Within a minute the owner had brought my dog back out front. They stated "We can't groom him, he is not trained enough." And handed Ranger back to me. My frustration lies in the fact that I throughly explained that he is a large dog with lots of energy and they proceeded to still schedule him knowing this, only to refuse grooming services after all the prep and driving to the facility. Safe to say we will not be going back any time soon. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in my life, hopefully that is not a reflection of the kennel services as well.

This is my first time putting my dog (1 yr old Staffordshire Terrier mix) in a kennel. He was there…read morefor three days. The staff was pleasant and friendly when I dropped him off. I asked that they clip and grind his nails as well while he was there. Unfortunately when I got there this morning, I was told that they did not do his nails. The owner's husband told her to have me bring him back this evening. That doesn't work for me. They were supposed to be done while he was there. I brought him home and I noticed that his rear and tail were matted with poop. I cleaned him up and found that the base of his tail was red and raw, which to me says he was sitting in his own feces for some time. I called and was told they didn't know why but that I would receive a call from the owner this evening. Right now I am upset to say the least and would not refer anyone to this kennel. I will edit/revise my review after the call. UPDATE: The owner did not call me. I had to call at 9pm and the owner basically accused me of lying about this. The pictures of his tail say it all. I will NEVER suggest this kennel to anyone!

We adopted our Doberman Pinscher/Malinois mix, Jack, from a rescue in South Carolina -- and to be…read morehonest, he was basically feral. He'd been abandoned, left to fend for himself, and didn't know a single rule. Life at home was chaos. Desperate for help, we took him to Peacock Bridge Kennels for their two-week intensive training program. They promised they could train any dog. We weren't sure we believed that, but we had to try something different. Two weeks later, when we returned for "human training," we were stunned. Jack was calm. He listened. He was happy. It felt like magic -- but really, it was the result of skilled, patient, compassionate trainers who knew exactly what they were doing. Peacock Bridge treated Jack with care and respect, and they taught us how to reinforce his training at home. Yes, the program is an investment -- but worth every single penny. We can't thank them enough for transforming Jack (and restoring our sanity).

I am not sure what changed from prior visits and once we found a new grooming spot, we discovered other Customers were told the same thing. Had we been told in person on the last visit of this change/concern - we would have continued shopping at the shop. They have great dog biscuits and we would stock up in between groomings. We were so shocked to "be expelled" via voice mail a week prior to a standing appointment, we will never shop there again. Not enough can be said about professional, friendly customer service so if this is important to you - find another option.
