One of the absolute worst experiences I have ever had in customer service. I love my dog as if he were my child, so I chose Bark Lodge to 1. support local businesses and 2. To get him a good luxury cut. This was the second time I brought my dog to be groomed and the first time was a decent experience, he looked nice the people were friendly, etc... Today, however, my dog was picked up by my stepdad and brought home, when I got home and saw him I immediately noticed he had not been groomed. I dropped him off at 8 am, and we picked him up at around 2. They bathed him and that is all. Mind you I paid $68 with a tip. After realizing he was not groomed at all (no haircut, no nails cut, nothing) I called and was told I could bring him back. Which inconvenienced me as I was working was required to drive there and back a total of four times. At this point, I was frustrated and requested a partial reimbursement or credit for my next visit because the staff allowed me to pay for and pick up a dog that had not been serviced. After an employee spoke to the owner, Melissa, I was immediately told there would be no reimbursement or discount at all because I inconvenienced them by having to bring my dog back. They took no ownership for their lack of communication and I received a passive aggressive "sorry" for their lack of communication within their business. I even spoke to the manager personally and at no point in time did she offer a compromise, rather she pointed the blame at the me for picking my dog up before he was ready? Shouldnt they know my dog has or hasn't been groomed yet???? Absolutely beyond disappointed and never experienced this in my life. My dogs cut was rushed and he has a choppy cut now. Super unhappy and shocked at the level of immaturity and lack of customer service at this business. I will be looking for another groomer in the future. Would love a recommendation and would love to share anymore information as needed if anyone has any concerns with choosing this groomer. Attached are pictures of the cut my dog got after being brought back which they rushed as you can see by the uneven lines and hairs on his nose. Also, when I picked him up he peed 3 times and pooped immediately which yells me he was not taken out for the 6-8 hours he was there, which is awful. For reference the pictures from last time are here too, they are the ones of his face! Thats how I know he was rushed.

Our dog LOVES Bark Lodge and literally pulls us into the facility. He comes home happy, but tired and "Tired puppies are good puppies!"

I am a very busy person so I generally do not take the time to participate in this sort of activity. This is the exception. I felt the need to write a glowing review about Beth's Comfy Critters Petsitters because I was extremely happy and satisfied with the services that were provided by Beth and her husband Joe. From the moment I initially contacted them the customer service was far above average, and greatly exceeded my expectations. The got back to me promptly via email. After initial contact we set up a time to speak on the phone in which they spent about 20 minutes discussing my needs. After the phone consult we arranged a time to do an in home consultation which was at a time of my choosing which I found to be very nice considering my busy schedule. Joe made the 20 minute drive to my home and arrived early. We spent almost an hour going through a complete list of my needs, in addition to him meeting my dog and developing an instant bond. Being an animal lover it is easy to see someone who has a similar mentality and fondness of animals, and I can greatly appreciate that. I should mention too that I own an 8 year old Pit Bull named Roxanne. She is a member of my family, and Joe and Beth treated her as one. This was extremely nice and refreshing to me, especially considering the stigma surrounding the breed, and some people's reluctance or out right refusal to work with the breed. After the hour long in home consult, which was extremely informative, and I found to be very professional and beneficial to my whole family, we toured the house and went through the routine of what I would like done for Roxanne while I was away. Joe was very comfortable with everything and made me feel comfortable also. He took a lot of notes, and asked a lot of questions. We discussed how ofter I would like for Joe and Beth to keep in contact with me and give me updates while I was away. They stuck to what they said, and keep in contact with me the entire time I was away which was so comforting to me. Like I said Roxanne is a member of my family and with the great service that was provided to me I felt at ease being away and leaving her in good hands. I decided to have Beth and Joe come over twice a day to spend time with Roxanne, let her out, feed her, play with her, they also offered to do three times a day if I would like. Their cost was very reasonable. I have no complaints at all, I am extremely 110% satisfied! I would recommend Beth's Comfy Critters Petsitters to anyone and everyone! I would personally vouch for them and the amazing job they did! Thank you very very much Beth and Joe! I will definitely be using your services again in the future!

Walk ins... waiting a month for an appointments. We loved Dr Rosenquist who treated us like family. Two days ago I asked for my dog's heart guard prescription and was told the dr had to write it and would be ready yesterday. Called yesterday and was told they had a floater vet and they didn't write them. So I went in today and waited about 15 minutes to pick up a piece of paper and then was told that the vet... that I never saw... wouldn't write the prescription because i had to-prove he had been on the medication. I send this paper into Chewy's to get the medication. In the past they would just fax the prescription into Chewy but now we have to go get it from the vet and send it ourselves. So now i have to contact Chewy to get some proof that I have actually been giving him the medication. I don't pay Chewy $100 for medicine that he needs and just shelve it. If I don't show proof that i give him the said medicine.. i have to pay for another blood test to prove i give him the medicine. Do you see the frustration. I think I'll pay another vet for his blood test and move on.

But these people treat you like a complete stranger, or even worse, like an enemy. Especially if you are a walk in, but even if you have an appointment. Here's my latest story. On my most recent visit, I waited about an hour and 10 minutes to be called back just for two simple shots that took the vet less than two minutes to administer. I was grateful that the male doctor and the assistant, Johnna, who actually did the work were extremely pleasant. They also were very quick and efficient in administering the medications. But before I got to this point, the desk clerk told me they had to give the dog an annual exam before administering the shots. The first time I ever heard this in all these years. I am not even sure its true or required by law. So I was not happy especially after waiting nearly two hours to be told that I would have to pay even more than for just the two shots, which is all the notice I received in the mail told me they needed - not an annual exam. I repeat, I was not told I would need an annual exam and that's totally wrong to not let the customer know beforehand as I am guessing this costs way more than the two shots combined. So to tell both sides of the story, yes, I let both the desk clerk and the assistant manager know I was not happy. And I was pretty adamant because this is not the first time I have let these two know I have been less than happy with their service, although I must admit the past several visits have gone without a hitch, likely since I didn't have to deal with them. I reminded them that that I was a paying customer for all these years and that I expected to be treated as such. Their answer? If I wasn't happy, there were six other vets in the area I could go to. In my entire professional life, I have never directed a customer to a competitor, no matter how upset they were. Fixing the problem is the way to deal with the problem, not sending money out the door to a competitor? I mean who in the business world does that? Then they let me know they were going to mail me my paperwork. To be totally transparent, these are the main people that are not pleasant to deal with at this practice. The rest of the staff I have dealt with and who have dealt with me have been great. So I along with the other decent staff there are not the problem. Also worth noting, there was a tension between the decent staff and these two individuals who I have to say are the most totally anti-customer centric people I have ever run into at a service establishment in this area. You could feel the tension in the air as if the nicer staff were trying to diffuse the situation and act as a buffer between me and these other two people, who quite honestly act like you work for them and not the other way around. None of this testimony is good for a local business. I don't care how many customers they have and how many give them positive reviews - there are plenty of bad reviews to go around on this vet. A key takeaway? Their way of dealing with loyal customers, at least those who might express dissatisfaction, is totally unprofessional.
