Very nice grooming job on my two yorkies for a reasonable price. First time customer and treated like I had been coming there for years

Always a great experience for my pup - Zoe and her 6 or so week grooming routine! She's been going here for more than a year now and she's a 5.5 lb yorkie that's 12 years old but I always do a puppy cut on her to keep her hair clean and short due to various skin allergies/sensitivity. They continue to do an amazing job and are efficient. Decent/average pricing too at $45 for her full groom. I drop her off first thing in the mornings around 730 and she's usually ready by 930-11 depending on the # of grooming appts they have. They always are super friendly and helpful and extremely appreciative of gratuity for the groomer. However they book up fast!! So I highly recommend you book 2-3 appts out at a time. I would say that's the only downside if you forget - I've had to wait almost 3 months for Zoe to be seen and her hair grows fast so ideally she needs a cut every 4-6 weeks. Ideal location right on the outskirts of downtown going down smith/battleground split. I've never boarded my dog there but have heard good things and the pups running around seem to love it. read more

Worst groomers EVER!! I don't normally leave reviews but I want to warn any and all pet owners. Their total lack of empathy, understanding and communication is horrifying. They butchered my dogs hair and it will take years for him to grow it back. I, like everyone looks for reviews and stars when looking for places and recommendations. I found Dog days which is the third groomer we have tried in the area. I looked on yelp and on google for reviews and any information. We recently moved to the Triad and have been trying to find a groomer for my two dogs who get groomed regularly. We gave specific instructions to trim about an inch off his face and beard and to give them a summer cut. What we got were unrecognizable dogs. There is not enough page space and time for me to go into all the details. Let's just say it's a hack job and I could have my teenage son do a better job. They also told us we had to tip before the service was done. I will upload pictures and let you all be the judge. read more

We just picked up our dog from boarding and grooming - Regarding the grooming - Our dog smelled like urine and had to be home bathed. Further, it didn't appear she had been brushed. The boarding was fine but not something we'll use again. No room to run nor any green spaces. Mostly a room of dogs walking around in circles. read more

My dog LOVES coming to Dog Days, every time we turn on to the street leading there he jumps up in his seat and starts wagging and vocalizing. The staff are super friendly and know each dog well, separating them out into rooms with compatible dogs. I like that you can check out their cameras which are easy to access and live all day, so you can see your dog playing. My dog is a bordercollie/aussie mix and it can be a challenge some days to give him all the activity he needs. When he comes to Dog Days he's able to have a blast socializing and getting all of his energy out playing all day, and then come home happy and worn out. Other daycares we've tried put dogs in kennels for long periods of time throughout the day before and after playing, which to me defeats the purpose of going to a dog daycare in the first place. I am so happy that we found this place! My only wish would be if they could get expanded areas, especially outside so there could be more space to run. But it is great as is. There can sometimes be quite a few dogs, so it might be a bit overwhelming if your dog is not used to being with 15+ dogs in a play situation, but just know your dog's personality. read more

They have the best staff, most affordable prices for daycare and overnight boarding and the best camera set up. It's nice to be able to watch your pup from your cell phone! Brought my two little guys to be groomed here today for the first time. They were super fast compared to other groomers in the area. My dogs looked and smelled great. They did a wonderful job and stuck to the cuts we discussed. No nicks found on either dog, which is pretty impressive because my yorkiepoo is a wiggler. Absolutely recommend this shop. Super professional. My pups seemed very comfortable with the staff. Pricing is very reasonable. My only gripe is there was no option to tip the groomers on my credit card receipt. I will have to make sure to bring cash with me next go round. A+++ read more

First off, I will NEVER be coming back. I came in today for the first time looking to meet a few of the dogs that were for adoption through the SPCA. I told the ladies at the front that I had never been there before and really wasn't too knowledgeable about how meeting them worked. One lady helped me with it and was cordial. After I saw the two dogs I went to see, I asked about the other "fostered/ up for adoption" dogs. Being that I had never been there before, I did not know they only had those two dogs and one more. When I asked about seeing the other dogs (because I didn't know that there was only three),a lady behind the corner rudely cut me off and said "you did see them". I couldn't even finish my sentence nor respond. She was absolutely passive aggressive and rude. I said thank you and went back to my boyfriend and looked behind my shoulder before leaving and they were making faces towards me, to eachother. I will NOT be doing business with this place. Not only were they rude to me but anytime a customer left the ladies would make faces or talk crap about them once they left. Not a place I'd want to go to. read more

Dog Days is the closest kennel to my house. With its stellar reviews, it was natural to board my dog here for my first trip out of town. I checked the cams a few times a day and only saw one or two workers in the room at any time, often just standing near the door. The dogs just roam around (some lie around), the staff did not encourage the dogs to play.. My dog was one of the roamers. Picked up the dog and he had liquid stools for several days.Ok, so sometimes animals get sick when they are boarded, whether it's a virus or anxiety. BUT, someone at the kennel should have noticed my dog was sick and someone should have said something to me when I picked him up. Did you know that kennels are inspected? According to the inspection reports Dog Days is consistently out of compliance with the 1:10 ratio and routinely gets "not acceptable" and narrative comments about being understaffed.. That may explain why no one noticed my dog was ill, thought to jot it down, or tell me about it. You can find the inspection reports by searching for "animal welfare inspection reports" in North Carolina. Consider incorporating those reports in your quest for a kennel. read more

Absolutely love this place! When we adopted our dogs our adoption organization highly recommended them. I live in Winston Salem so I was a little apprehensive of the drive but if the rescue organization recommended them I thought I can't go wrong. It's completely worth the drive! The people are always so nice and you never feel like you're dropping your dog off at the kennel, you feel more like you're dropping your child off at daycare. Someone comes out to greet you and your dog, they call your dog by name, I don't know how they remember them all but it's those extra steps that make it special. You can view your dog playing in the front room in the large window. For boarding I ALWAYS make a reservation, sometimes they do fill up and I haven't had a problem yet but I don't want to either :-) They have separate rooms for large, small and medium dogs. Medium and some large and small dogs they keep in the main room that you can view from the window. Larger dogs are kept in a huge room you can't see when you walk in. Same with small dogs; their kept in a room you can't see. But it's definitely a comfort to know they don't keep a teacup sized dog with a Great Dane, etc. All rooms have access to outside any time they want. And play time is ALL DAY if they want, they also have cots available if your dog likes to take afternoon naps. For boarding they recommend you bring your own food but they do have house food available if you didn't bring any. You can bring a dog bed and one toy but they can't guarantee the return of the toy. I always just bring food, they spray everything down everyday which makes it great for cleanliness but not for bedding. They do have generic beds available and my dogs seem just as content. If you want them to administer treats, naps, medication, etc. they will for NO ADDITIONAL COST! Which is amazing in this business were a lot of places will nickel and dime you. The best part is they have web cams! I'm a worry wart and so I enjoy the piece of mind knowing that my dogs are safe and happy. Also the prices I feel are very reasonable and for boarding they give siblings discount. Which again is a rarity in this business at times. Also if your dog is boarded I think for five days or longer they through in a free bath the day you come to pick your dog up. Which is wonderful because they smell divine instead of smelling like a bunch of dogs. All in all this place is a gem! I'm just scared for when we move someday, I know I'll never find another dog days again :-( read more

We absolutely love Dog Days and the staff! When we bring our dog in we know she is in great hands. We drive 30 mins to this doggie hotel and love them. When we walk in they know her name and that makes me feel great knowing they take the time to remember the dog. They also have a great groomer! The dog cams are great to check in on your best friend when on the road! If you have a dog, they deserve the best life and Dog Days is the best!! read more

We have used Dog Days for both grooming and boarding. We initially just used them for the grooming services and I'd like to say that we have been very happy. Not only do they listen to you regarding any special requests or simply saying "the same" but I can't tell you the number of people I've been approached by in our neighborhood when I've been walking our goldendoodle (not the one pictured here...unfortunately he has passed away) and asked where we get her groomed and they have commented on how good she looks---that is all due grooming because with her coat she doesn't require a lot of brushing. They are also very reasonably priced. We have used Dog Days just a couple of times for boarding and have been happy with it. Our dog isn't crazy about playing with other dogs but she doesn't mind going either, she would much rather go on vacation with us but when she cannot I feel comfortable having her here and I like the fact that I can check in on her with the webcams. Just another sign of the times where good customer service is no longer a thing. We've been bringing our dog here for 12 years, and with the exception of minor things, we've been overall happy here. But little by little they are taking away the amenities that attracted us to this location in the first place. First, the free half-day daycare when they had a bath/groom was taken away - then they got rid of the free bath after so many nights boarding. And now, after being told we had a "grandfathered" boarding rate (since we've been with them for so long), the owner Lonnie decided to just do away with that without any notification. I don't think he understands what "grandfathered in" means, and we're so disappointed at the customer service. If this is how they treat those who have been with them the longest, I can only imagine what it's like for new customers. We will be looking into other options for our old man going forward and wish we could have ended on better terms. read more

Ok, this is the kind of daycare that I was looking for. I wanted to find a place where my 6 month old pup can go and play with other doggies while I am at work. I work full time and my puppy is crate trained. When I come home my puppy is ready to play, go for a run or go to the dog park, however, sometimes I need a break. I started taking my pup elsewhere, but I was not satisfied. I wanted to pay for daycare where my pup can play with other dogs, not to be locked up in the room. My dog goes to the dog park and plays with other dogs just fine. Anyway, I decided to give this place a chance. HALLELUJAH!! I watched my dog on cameras playing with other pups and having fun. All he needed was 1/2 day and he was TIRED and SNUGGLY all night! The staff was always in sight on cameras. There are a whole bunch of dogs all together, so every dog has someone to play with. The staff used water to spray on the pups if they were playing a bit too rough and needed to chill out. It seemed to be working on my pup because it got his attention. Another very positive thing, comparing Dog Days to the other daycare where I took my pup, picking up my dog from Dog Days was very calm and painless. I did not have to wait 10 minutes to get my dog. This place just seems "cool and collected" and we like it. The only downfall is that there are many dogs, so the staff does not always sees when another dog pees somewhere, which probably means your dog is probably running on the pee....wash the paws! read more

My family & I absolutely wholeheartedly LOVE Dog Days! The staff is always so welcoming & my Patches just LOVES to go to Dog Days! Let me not forget to mention that the groomer Richardo is absolutely the BEST Groomer that I've ever met! Every Time we pick Patches up from her groom she looks like "show" dog. I really like that the staff remembers Patches name. We love Sara, Debbie & Lonnie (the owners). Dog Days is great. My dog loves to go there. He knows he's there at the stop light at fisher. He gets so excited when he sees it. He runs straight in to the door. He plays all day with all his friends and comes home starving and ready to watch The back of his eyelids and maybe peak at a movie I'm watching. He likes to snuggle because of dog days. Also the staff at dog days are great. They know him by name and have since day one. They are fast and efficient on getting all of the dogs out to their owners at the end of the day. I am a truck driver and have a Shih Tzu that rides with my wife and me. Being on limited time Its so hard to get him in for a bath to the big pet stores without an appontment.We were delivered in Gboro on a Sunday and decided to call Dog Days to see if by chance they could see our little guy for a bath and they said sure bring him right over. What a great job they did. Smells better, fur is softer, and "Shaggy" came out just as happy as can be so I knew he received top notch treatment. We have been taking our lab here for 6 years and highly recommend dog days! The staff is friendly and they are focused on the dogs in a positive way. I know that they will not permit aggressive dogs to return. They make sure owners keep up with vaccines and send the records in for confirmation. You can buy day care packages (like a 20 day package) and even use them in 1/2 day increments. Dog days offers boarding, day care and grooming. This place is amazing. I went to a groomer (petsense) and they told me that they couldn't groom my dog because he was too hyper. Dog Days took him in with open arms and groomed him impeccably. I'm not sure what has changed but the level of service has dropped. I even expressed my concerns to Dog Days staff and I never received a return call from Lonnie which really surprised me. We loooove Dog Days! My golden retriever, Phil, has been going to daycare about once every other week since he was about three months old (he's now 2 1/2 years), and has stayed weekends and even for an entire week, once, and he loooves the people and the other doggies! When I drive within a half mile of Dog Days, Phil sniffs the air and gets so excited and happy--by the time we turn from Edgeworth onto Battleground, his chin is resting on my shoulder so he can see how close we are! When we arrive, it's all I can do to hold onto him as he tries to run to his buddies! Every single person there is loving and kind, from the owner to the folks at the front desk to the groomer to the folks who actually stay and play with the dogs all day. I'm so grateful to be able to check the webcams regularly--I miss him more, I think, than he misses me! Last summer, we drove to a funeral in Florida and entrusted Dog Days with his care. They called me about two days into the trip to say he'd developed a cough. I couldn't possibly return sooner than two days. The owner actually took Phil to our vet, had him checked, got a scrip for him, and gave him his meds every day while keeping him isolated in case he was contagious. He clearly gave Phil lots of love and belly rubs! When we picked him up, his cough was gone, and he'd clearly had loving care. Now...how many places would show that kind of personal love and attention to your furbaby?!? We've tried daycare and boarding at two other places and, while the folks were very nice, they just didn't have the same vibe as Dog Days. Further, I don't want to pay almost DOUBLE the price so that my dog can have a TV in a private room when he goes to sleep. I'd like him to be able to play outdoors as well as indoors, but not for twice the price! Dog Days is not only a fabulous place, but it's the best value in town, as well. I'm kind of torn about this place. The first time I took my dog in for a bath and grooming, they did a phenomenal job. I decided to take him in again because I had confidence in their ability to make my dog look great but a few days after I picked him up, he had quite a few visible cuts on his legs. I'm not sure if I should take him back but because of his first grooming, I feel I should give them another shot after I bring this to their attention. read more

Dog Days has been great for my toy dog even though there are big dogs there too. He seems very happy to be there and it is a plus to be able to see our dog on the web cam. Our dog is full of energy and is a big dog in a small package. Day care is great and he looks like he is ready for a show after grooming. The prices are great for day care if you buy a package of 10, 20 or 30 days and you can split into half days too. Grooming price was also very reasonable. The Location is very convenient if you work downtown but easy to get on the major roads from there if you don't. read more

Dog Days is spectacular! Our dogs love going there. It's clean and well staffed by professional dog lovers. There is an atmosphere of calmness that allows the dogs to have fun and be safe at the same time (not out of control). We always feel confident that our fur babies are well taken care of and the staff always makes accommodations for any special requests / needs that we may have. We have been going there for years (at least 3 years) and would not consider any other day care or boarding. All dogs must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered which gives us an additional sense of security as well as professionalism. While our dogs are there we frequently check in on the web cams and love the ability to see them having fun! read more

I have been a Dog Days customer for over a year and have been more than pleased with the care my Irish Setter receives there. The staff is friendly (to both owners and the dogs), always addressing my dog by name and welcoming her at each visit. The staff working directly with the dogs is attentive and will immediately move to address behavioral issues with a loving but firm tone. During a week long board my dog needed veterinary care for a pre-existing paw injury that caused her to begin limping. The owner of Dog Days personally called me multiple times with updates and they took my girl to the vet promptly. My owner has been taking me to Dog Days for two years, and I LOVE it. The family-owned company is headed up by Lonnie, who knows me by name and gives me a pat every time he walks by. All the staff know my name -- and all my idiosyncrasies. (I'm a 14-year-old Border collie, so I have lots of them!) My owner is pretty Type-A and overprotective of me, so if she likes and trusts Dog Days, you KNOW they are good. She especially loves watching me through the picture window after she drops me off. The entire staff is great, and I love seeing Sarah and Karen at the front desk. We finally got to try out Dog Days Grooming today. I have a Welsh Terrier so the cut is a little more difficult, and has been a process trying to find someone in GSO to cut him right. One of the best things about Dog Days is how efficient they are getting your dog in and out. I have a senior dog that I board at a vet and Dog Days is much better with my younger dog than the vet is with the older dog. There is no wait to drop him off or pick him up. There are times with the vet where I have to wait a long time. The people at Dog Days know my dog and my car. My pup is always tired and happy when he comes home from daycare or boarding. I was apprehensive about leaving our fur babies as we had always taken them with us, but the availability of their doggie cam eased my mind a bit.
