The place used to house a shabby old bodega, but this bar has totally renovated the place and it looks so cosy (albeit dark). The tap list (24 taps?) was excellent last time I was there. I got to try the Marshmallow Porter from Tiny Rebels, Mango Hallonfeber from Brewski and the delicious (and spicy) Thai Speedway Stout from Alesmith. The price might be a little bit higher than those places downtown, but since we can walk to this place, instead of going "all-the-way" to the centrum, we're happy with it. Sure you can pay double at another spot close to city center, but with easy train rides there from the AC you'll get a little walking exercise plus only spend a fraction of your hotel savings on transportation. Excellent views await on most floors, especially nice if you score a corner room. Add to your health-factor with a stroll, run, or bike ride across the street in the large green spaces next door. If it's too cold the exercise faculty is also spacious with a good variety of machines. Service was impeccable and hotel dining was tasty for a meal on-site. Plenty of amenities except what is the infatuation with instant coffee? But everything remained well-stocked and the room was comfortable. We will look forward to the next visit and would stay again.

There's really no other bar at this level and height to treat you to this panoramic experience. Drinks are not consistent so I've resolved myself to, aquavit, Schnapps, Danish/Sandinavian beer. Can't go wrong with those and if you're ok with the above this place is fun to end your day just before the sunsets at 10pm in summer. Service: It's common in Copenhagen to wave at your wait person to get attention, in a resto, a bar, a store. I used to think this is not good but it is what it is. Unless you are at a Michelin restaurant, wait staff do expect you to ask for help by waving them to come over or asking. It is a service philosophy that I've learned to accept. Visits: many Tip: You don't have to be a guest at the AC Bella Hotel to enjoy this bar. It's open after 10:30am - until 11pm. The notorious Jaguar Bodega, what can be said more about it?…read more All I can tell that this place is legendary in Amager, as in everyone knows Jaguar Bodega :) Not far from Amagerbro metro station, this place is exactly what you have in mind when you think about the Bodega, sadly that includes the smoking part. They do have separated smoking section on the back so that helps a bit, but other than that, I might want to avoid this place when there are too many people. On a weekdays, maybe - if I can't get to other bar but definitely no on weekend. That said, Richard S and I "celebrated" the J-dag here last year, you could just picture how packed this place is, full of happy with people with blue Santa hat clutching a bottle of Tuborg Juleøl, naturally. It's really not that bad and If I have a beer emergency, I wouldn't mind going in, but otherwise - I'll skip it.
