They have a very helpful protein guide

They are pretty friendly. I got a pet wash and bought some cans of cat food. They have some great displays but the shelves are a little dirty. The staff do just hang out and joke around when not ringing but could be updating the home made signs as some are a little worn. I would shop here again.

    Pom w/Teddy Bear cut

I used to go here allll the time when we had corgis. Fast forward several years and I'm back whenever puppy sitting our furry 'grand child'. The 8 pound Pom needed her usual 6 week Teddy Bear cut while staying with us. Although the trim was okay, I wasn't pleased with the length. My traveling daughter encouraged me to call so a week later I reluctantly talked to the manager, Kimberly, who was ever so helpful. She gave me an appointment for the following day with a different groomer, Courtney, and the cut was A+. The manager checked the Pom before we left and said she just wanted to make the service right. It was a pleasure working with Kimberly and Courtney. Of course we picked up treats from the wonderful displays on the way out.

That's the kid that was rude.

I love the convenience of the location to me, and the majority of the time I've received good service. This last time I went in, the kid in the front was so unpleasant to deal with. He has lots of attitude and seems like he was doing too much when all he had to do was ring me up and I asked 1 question. Makes me want to never return there. I would rather drive a bit further and get better service.

I was deeply saddened by the closure of Mud to Sudz in my area as my Shy Lil Lucie had only been groomed there her entire life. After searching around I choose Bark Avenue because one of the groomers specializes in Aussies , Border Collies and Shelties. Perfect for my precious pup. I scheduled with Jessica for a Saturday morning. Jessica gave me some recommendations and said Lucie would be ready in about an hour and 45 minutes. I decided to stay in the area since this was a very short wait time. An hour and 45 minutes later I got the ready call from Jessica. Lucie was happy and beautiful. The grooming service with nails and glands was $55 total. If your looking for a new groomer Bark Avenue is a good choice.

Sara has been grooming our mini doodle, Henry, for the past few months and we have gotten so many compliments from other people on how good he looks. She is very patient and kind and I really appreciate how much she cares about her work.

What's going on with this place? The doors are always locked even during open business hours.

Rocklin Pet Spa - Very visible missing fur

I've been bringing my cat to Rocklin Pet Spa since 2023 and had consistently good experiences until…read morethe past year, when she's come home with two unexplained injuries. The first being bloody scabs on her face last July. I spoke with the owner, and while we couldn't agree on the cause, the scabs healed and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. It felt like an isolated incident, and they seemed genuinely interested in making sure she was okay. The second incident happened more recently and is harder to set aside. After her appointment, her groomer pointed out a large patch of missing fur on her back. I was asked whether she'd had recent flea treatment or vaccinations, and the answer to both was no, with her last vaccines being eight months ago. I didn't want to jump to conclusions since I was looking at her while she was in her carrier, so I waited until I got home so I could properly assess how visible it was once she was up and moving about. I got home and confirmed that the patch was significant and clearly visible. I would've 1000% noticed something like this. I was with my cat the entire morning. She was sitting on my lap and I was petting her back just 30 minutes before her appointment; it would've been hard to not notice such a significant amount of fur missing as it would've been right in my face and I'm the type to notice if this cat has so much as a booger in her nose. I called back and spoke to her groomer who insisted they didn't remember anything happening during her appointment that could've caused this but they also said that they didn't notice the very noticeable missing fur until near the end of the appointment. I don't know what to make of that, but I am positive that my cat did not arrive this way. The saving grace is that my cat didn't seem to be in any pain and fur grows back (although I'm sure that spot on her back must have been really sore). This was an extremely upsetting experience as my cat is so sweet (even the groomer said she never gives them any trouble) and I only want her taken care of. Let me be clear: I don't believe anyone set out to harm her, but I can't overlook this careless incident and I just don't feel comfortable taking my cat here anymore unfortunately.

My dog Parker is typically anxious during grooming sessions, yet the team consistently demonstrates exceptional kindness and patience, which allows him to relax almost immediately. They dedicate time to understanding my dog's individual needs and ensure his comfort throughout the process. As a result, his coat is healthier than ever, his grooming is consistently excellent, and he exhibits a joyful demeanor upon pickup. It is rare to find individuals who exhibit such genuine care. They do more than groom my dog; they provide him with comfort, relaxation, and happiness. I am sincerely grateful for the compassionate care they consistently offer.

My dad picked my dog up, Stephanie the manager was the one who cut his hair and when he got picked up all she mentioned was how "he was just a little nervous" and that was all. No mention about the wound or dry blood on his fur. The two days after I noticed my dog was acting odd and unusual anytime someone pet him he cried and seemed like he was hurt, at first I thought it might've been a random injury within because there was nothing wrong with how he was walking just a little more bit scared than usual. Then around third day I came home from work and sat on the floor to greet him and pet him sure gently just putting my hand over his head to back massaging very delicately, and when I passed his head he cried and I also felt a hard scab like thing. I then told my dad and aimed the flashlight on his head to see what it was and all we could see was dry blood and the screenshot within the last image provided was what we saw. We think only knew it was due from his haircut because he had only been acting weird after coming back and crying randomly. We then went to the salon the next day early opening and brought him so we can see and they immediately tried defending there staff, yes apologized for the very least and offered to either clean it up as best they can right now or go to any vet place to help him further more. They also mentioned the charges would fully be covered so we took him to the vet the day after and they told us theyd have to sedate him which was super scary knowing he just turned 13 years old, and not only that they mentioned the cut was analyzed as a blade cut from the haircut gear they use and that the cut was one centimeter deep and width in size. The cut was also infected due to the time passed since after his haircut and it would've all been significantly less traumatizing and less painful for my dog if they would've just told us the mistake that occurred. If it was said day of it wouldn't have been infected nor needed so much more to go through but the manager Stephanie didn't wanna take accountability clearly. I understand mistakes happen but you were with animals these are peoples children please speak up even if it was a big mistake! Not only that after my dad sent the billing like they said to send the billing of and they were denying it fighting against paying it. The craziest part is the pet salon said that the vet told them it was a "bump" not a razor blade cut and so my dad had to call the vet place and ask if they got called by a certain number which was the salon and said they never called and never said that. After so much back and forth with a few days passing of them fighting against trying to pay the charges the vet was in contact with the pet salon and at the end the pet salon paid up. Which was super embarrassing, how are you gonna fight against paying for one of ur clients injuries you guys caused. If anything you guys should be quick to accepting to help after hurting our dog. We also asked for the footage and the owner kept trying to say he couldn't because he had to protect his employees as if their employees were the ones who got hurt. You guys genuinely are heartless and lack so much accountability and sympathy, cant image working at a pet place and hurting a dog and denying to show the film, paying to help, and even fighting against a case like this. Also if you "can't show the film to protect ur employees" what is there protecting for if you guys are claiming there was no harm done. You guys are horrendous.
