Seems as if I've been reduced to coming here just once a year. This recent visit was like other visits. Their selections are always changing. I was able to find a few things at great value. Definitely love the brawny dog wipes . GAME CHANGER!!! This is still my favorite BH location. The service I received at checkout was helpful and courteous. read more

Love bargain Hunt. They have a huge amount of stuff for a bargain. Everything from home decor to food to car and tools to clothes and shoes. Love the price for everything I got. The cashier was the best part. She has wonderful convos and was very nice. She was talking about all the cool foods that her family loves to get when they come, including a sugar cookie pop tart, that I didn't even know about. They are really good. She sold me on them. read more

I will start by saying I'm really gonna miss Bargain Hunt. I only shopped at one location, in Crestwood/Birmingham, AL. I think I started going in 2012. At first the store was a mess and very unorganized, you had to have a lot of time and patience to go through the stuff, it was hit or miss. It was like a closeout or discount store that received a lot of items other stores were trying to get rid of. Well a couple years later, there was a major revamp and it got much better and organized over the years. I don't know if new management took over or just a reorganization. It really became my absolute favorite store to shop at other than Walmart and I would often visit several times during a month. I have tons and tons of things in my home that I have purchased from Bargain Hunt over the years. So many good deals, including designer items at deep discounts. The biggest down side to me was the pantry items that were closed to the end of the shelf life or expiration date and I didn't use in time but that was often due to my lack of cooking often. I am actually sad the store is closing and not to mention I found less than 2 weeks of closing that the store was going out of business. Well, some good things have to come to an end. Now I have to find somewhere to browse and shop at. Will miss you Bargain Hunt but thanks for saving me so much money over the years!! P.S. Not sure why my location says California. read more

Bargain Hunt definitely has me sold on finding great products that I needed and with it being cheaper than the retail value, you can't beat that. Everyone knows how expensive laundry detergent is, but I've ended up paying less than $4 dollars for a good size bottle. I've also found some Marvel Black Panther underwear that ran at $14.99 before tax at other stores which I only paid $9 dollars plus tax here. There were a pair of pants I wanted to try on, but couldn't find a single employee on the sales floor and if it wasn't for that set back, my rating would've been higher than a 3 star. read more

This is a great place to get deals on toys, clothes, furniture, everything!!! Most of the items are packaged in their original boxes etc.... I like coming here for patio furniture. The only reason I'm giving this business 2 stars is because of the appearance of the store and they bathrooms were disgusting!!! My daughter had a restroom emergency so we had to use the one there. First, the lighting was horrible. It was very dim inside and someone had used all the toilets and didn't flush them. There was not a lot of toilet tissue and absolutely no paper towel. I definitely have to make sure my daughter uses the restroom before we go back in there. read more

Bargain Hunt is definitely worth checking out! I'm a sucker for a bargain on things that I actually need. Bargain Hunt is full of stuff I can actually use, and would otherwise pay twice as much elsewhere. Clothes, dishes, cookware, outdoor gear, electronics, decorations, appliances, sports, baby, furniture: they have just about everything you can imagine. Some items are clearance from department stores, others may be canceled orders by national chains. I find stuff from Home Depot, Cabelas, Walmart, Bed Bath Beyond, and many others. This place is especially helpful for people shopping for everyday items when moving. Many of the furniture pieces are floor models or scratched, but that's what makes it a great deal! The pricing is similar to thrift stores: the linger the item goes unsold, the lower the price goes. For example, an item on the shelf for 2 months may be discounted an extra 20%, 3 months may be discounted 50%! You never know what you will find. Customer service is excellent. I spoke withe the manager several days ago who was helpful, kind, and friendly. She explained the business platform and the origins of the chain. It's fairly clean, the locations is decent, and it's never packed. Next time you are out thrifting, or hitting up yard sales in the hood, give Bargain Hunt a try. I couldn't recommend a better place to hunt for bargains. :) read more

My trips here are usually hit or miss. Sometimes I walk away finding nothing and sometimes I've got 7 of the exact same tank tops but slightly different color in my hand cause they were all $1.00 each. I will say a lot of their items seem to be whatever is leftover from department stores, so you are almost always likely getting a good deal. The quality of the products however are not always great. I found a beautiful JC Penny sheet set here the other day, but they are without a doubt the worst sheets I've ever slept on. They also have food and shampoo, but I try to steer clear of products like that here. They also have a nifty discount program where the longer the item has been in the store, the bigger the discount. For instance one week will get you 10% off, two weeks 20% off, and so on. It's always a hassle though thinking whether you want an item now or to wait a week or two for the price to drop. I say buy without regrets, cause almost anytime I go back, I don't see the same item again! Happy shopping! read more

Ya'll I LOVE Bargain Hunt! This location typically has more of its good days vs. the bad. Your experience will all depend on their particular shipment of the week. You do have to be in the mood to "dig" though, so don't go if you're easily overwhelmed. Bargain Hunt's pricing depends on the dates. You match the price and date on the tag with a discount sheet located on each aisle. The discount percentages can range from 10% - 70% off. Recently I've noticed their shipments seem to include items from either a consignment shop or TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. Every worker who I've come in contact with here is always friendly. The store is usually clean and somewhat organized (compared to other discount stores). You name it - they have it. A couple of items I've purchased at this location include: - 2 New counter height padded stools (with back) from target ~$70/piece - Piko brand top - $5.00 - New Balance yoga pants - $2.00 - Donna Morgan bridesmaid dresses - $20.00 - Target brand PJ set - $3.00 - Box of Starbucks K-cups - $1.00 - 5.00 - Various brands of luxury hair, skin and nail products - Light bulbs - ~$1.00 - 3.00 - Light fixtures - ~$10.00 (+/-) - Rugs - prices vary on size The great thing about Bargain Hunt, is that you can return/exchange any item if you have a receipt. At other discount stores, a lot of their sales are final. Sometimes I've gone home with a garment that I inspected at the store, but after looking at it more closely once home, find out there's a small hole or stain on it. I love that Bargain Hunt has this return/exchange option for their customers. Love this place and hope it stays in the Crestwood area! read more

I am glad to see this place has been reviewed WAY more than I would have expected. Leave it up to the Bham Elite Squad to make sure people know about a place. I guess I will give my two cents. This is not at all what I expected. My wife told me about this place. And since a good bargain revs her engine, she was over the top excited about her first visit. From the outside I expected a much cleaner, well organized store. That is not the case. It is almost like organized chaos. I don't think you can go there looking for something specific (unless you have seen it), but you can find some really good deals. I was buying some decorations for a Thanksgiving party and/or halloween inspiration. I found a few items that worked for me and at a great price! I wish I had more time to explore and I will be sure and do that in the future. read more

I was very skeptical when my coworker suggested this place, but you can get some great deals if you can get past how disorganized the place is. I noticed baby products never opened from target & I knew I stumbled on a treasure. I stock up on diapers, baby wipes, etc from this place for a third of the price I'd pay for the same stuff at Target! They sell nice rugs, mini fridges for your office, heaters/fans for your office, nice televisions, patio furniture, etc. Heck even household cleaners from target & other expensive brands for a steep discount! This is the place to go if you're truly looking for a good deal. A deal this good shouldn't be passed up, you have to search for somethings but the price you pay makes the search worthwhile! Why not buy stuff for your here, remember they grow out of clothing & monthly for a while! I've also found $20 nice water bottles here for $5! I don't know about you, but this place is worth it. You can't find a good deal anywhere that's this good! Now we need a discount grocery store, well that's Trader Joes! read more

I have very mixed feelings about Bargain Hunt. It was a-may-zing when it first opened, because it was so clean and organized. Today, that's a different story. You can still find really great deals--up to 90% off--if you're willing to dig for them. I've gotten awesome stuff there, like a changing table for my son for $13, but for some reason it was in the wrong department and a fluke. I appreciate the effort but sometimes it isn't worth the trip. The associates are always really nice--I've never had a problem with any of them. They're always willing to help. The worst part is digging through the boxed furniture in the right hand side of the store--nothing is organized or labeled well, so it's hard to tell what you're looking through. Otherwise, I really enjoy the store and the finds I've gotten there. read more

We have been fans of bargain hunt since the day they open in Birmingham. Part of the 'hunt' in bargain Hunt is looking at dates and the longer an item has been at the store the higher the percentage off is.. As I went through the store today most of new items no longer carry a date. They seem to be taking away one of the best parts of the store read more

I am really glad they opened a couple of there stores in Birmingham. The store is filled with surplus goods, customer returns, and overstocks. I love how the pricing structure is. Items are already well priced when they first come in, but the longer they sit on the shelf, the cheaper they become. If an item is there long enough, it will end up being 90% off the already low price!! The selection is hit and miss, and you will want to open up the box to make sure everything is there. I have found some great deals here and always look forward to my next trip. read more

First off, this is not a thrift store. It tricked me. This store buys new items in bulk or either damaged/returned items that cannot be resold in stores and marks the prices down. There's a varied amount of merchandise, everything from kitchen ware to Tvs to mowers. It does have some good deals if you don't mind shopping around. Didn't find anything on my trip, but the inventory fluctuates so much it's a new store every month. read more

I had no idea that this place was out here bargain hunt is pretty big on the inside i don't really like thrift stores but this one is different than most I've been in lots to choose from as far as clothes, rugs, sheets, and anything else u may need. What I also noticed about bargain hunt is they have a lot of good stuff at a reasonable price read more

I love this place. If you're prepared to spend some time digging and searching then you can find some awesome deals!!! I got a new pair of jeans for 70 cents! It doesn't get much better than that! read more

Out of the last five times I have been in this store I have found one thing I purchased, but it was for sure a great deal (Michael Kors peacoat for $30)! I just wouldn't go in unless I was really close by and had time to dig through mostly junk items. read more

They have tons of stuff to look through but you do have to kind of pick through it sometimes but the prices are great. Customer service is awesome they always say hello and welcome as soon as you walk in the door with a smile on there face. read more

It was my first trip to Bargain Hunt in Irondale, AL. It was one of the best shopping trips I've had in a long time. The staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone we came across had a smile on their face and were willing to help in every way! I was mostly impressed with the compassion and the friendly manner the staff had. The store was very well kept and clean. The prices were excellent. I normally don't write reviews, but this staff needs to be commended for their outstanding service. I visited on Nov. 3 around 6:30 - 7:00 P.M. I live about an hour away, but I will surely be back! We need more people like this in our service industry! A Big thanks to Bargain Hunt! read more

First of all I LOVE this store! It would have been a 5 star review but the only three things I disliked is the fact that in the month of December they have cold air blowing in the store. Two is their door does not work (will not close),and three there is concrete floor and by me having problems with my feet I can't afford to do more damage to my body. If you guys get it fixed up I will definitely come back! ! They sell almost everything for an extraordinary fair price!! Great staff the cashier meka was very nice read more

What a nasty place , I bought more than 300 dlr , when came to do size exchange they denied to do it even with the tags and everything they just denied read more

Bargain Hunt in Crestwood Festival Center has unprofessional employees. I was actually screamed at by a "manager" in front of all the customers. I will never support this store. Most of the merchandise appears used or is broken or missing parts which you don't find out until you get home. Clothing is mis sized frequently. The return policy is ridiculous. read more

My favorite bargain store. You just have to know how to shop there dates on price tags.
