Or if you are travelling from Manchester City Centre you can catch the X57 bus that will stop directly outside or get the train to Bramhall station which is a 10-15 min walk away. They have a very good selection of beers mainly from the UK, Belgium and German with a small selection of USA craft beer. Which is all priced very well. You will struggle to find a better price elsewhere on the beers they have for sale here. One of my favourite beer styles is Saison and they have an excellent range of them here. They also have a couple of beer lines. So you can purchase a pint to sip while you shop or sit on the beer tables outside. It's great on a hot summers day! The selection they have for sale on draft changes quite regular too. They also have a large selection of wines and spirits available. If you a throwing a party and need a great range of beers, wines and spirits then this is the one stop shop you will need. I really like this place, the selection is varied and the price is great. If you love a good beer this place is definitely worth the short trip.

The interior is dark and welcoming with real wood floors and shelving. The shop is rammed to the gills with quality wines and beers. There's a good selection of wines and spirits and a fantastic range of beers local, national and Continental. The wide selection of lagers and Belgian beers make it worth the trip to Commonside alone. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and make for a good shopping experience. Its location on a busy road in the suburbs does mean that parking can be a problem.

The concept of Demijohn is that of a liquid deli, selling both vinegars and oils for your cooking, as well as wines and spirits for afterwards. You buy your bottle from them, due to EU regulations, but you can then fill it with anything you like, and take it back for refills. The staff were incredible friendly and welcoming, allowing us to try many different products, even after we'd chosen what we were having, as well as advising us on various combinations we could try. Demijohn doesn't just sell alcohol. One whole area of the shop is devoted to unusual vinegars and oils. With flavours such as rich red Bramble Vinegar from Perthshire or beautiful, first class extra virgin olive oil from a small estate in Tuscany. There are a wide variety of bottled beers, not just the same old stuff you can get in Morrisons, but plenty of real quality varieties to suit most tastes. There are guest ales, and you can buy re-usable sealable flaggans to take home with you which hold about 4 pints, or cartons. We bought gift vouchers for our relatives. After tasting them all of course. I have built up a rapport with the owner since using the shop and as I travel the country and have relatives in Germany have brought back beers for him to try and possibly stock. I was thrilled to see my new favorite Sauvignon Blanc for 7.5 quid. I got 2 bottles and a 4 pack of Heineken. As I was checking out the clerk said, "that Heineken is alcohol free" Whoa Joe wouldn't like that. I didn't know the difference since I'm not a beer drinker... You save a fortune purchasing this in advance. It ended out being a great decision because we had to wait almost 2 hours to get checked in to our room. The next day we decided to take a tour of Bownes the town that we drove thru on our way to Windermere Beech Hotel. It was great because I saw Bargain Booze once again and they remembered me from the day before. I got some more of that wonderful wine once again. We had lots of rain the first day so we were happy to have some sun this day for our shop. Great place with very fun lake ladies to help me!
