But more importantly, the owner of the company called me to make sure everything was taken care of. In my opinion, you can't judge a business on how they handle things when it goes good but on how it gets handled when it goes bad. We all make mistakes and I am not blame anyone for that. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS. IT IS A SCAM. THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS ARE PART OF IT…read more TL;DR: They use shady tactics to lock you into a contract and keep you paying. They then don't allow you to cancel, all while incentivizing you to repeatedly leave five-star reviews... despite arguably deceptive business practices and a product that (for me) does not work. Sorry this is long, I'm still mad lol. We hesitantly signed up for their services, since we live in an area with a lot of mosquitos. I told the customer representative I would only sign up if the contractual cancellation fee (which is ridiculously high by the way [like 80% of the rest of your contract... so potentially hundreds of dollars... what a joke]) was replaced with a "trial period." He agreed, but then sent me a contract that included (1) much higher prices than we agreed, and (2) the cancellation fee that he told me he'd remove. I can't say FOR SURE that he was just hoping I wouldn't read the contract... but I can pretty confidently say what happened later was intentional. After a few treatments, the number of mosquitos did not go down at all. I canceled, but another rep called and convinced me to extend my trial period because apparently you need even more treatments in a row for it to work (of course they never told me this before). I foolishly fell for it, and the number of mosquitos remained high. We canceled again, this time apparently successfully. Then I got another charge four months later. I called to dispute and remind them I terminated my contract. The reps told me they were rejecting my cancellation and that I would have to pay a $400+ cancellation fee. (Their reasoning: the lady pulled up the e-mail she sent extending the trial period, which said Barefoot would do one more treatment and install "mosquito traps"--if I still wasn't happy, I could cancel with no fee. Now, four months after I had cancelled, she tells me that the technician actually forgot to put up the traps, so I'm technically not allowed to cancel. She then implied my "trial period" never existed in the first place, despite her being the one who extended it [twice].) She somehow maintained that position with me--I wish I could say with a straight face, but we were on the phone--only until I sent proof. After I poured over the entire contract, collected screenshots/e-mails/telephone call records of previous conversations, and drafted a needlessly long e-mail did they finally let me go. To me, it seemed likely that they were counting on me being someone who would rather pay a couple hundred bucks than pour over a contract and collect evidence. Too bad for them I was really pissed off, bored, and still in a fair amount of law school debt. ((I must note that I got an apology phone call to their credit, though she blames it on the cancellation fee waiver being at the bottom of the contract? makes no sense.)) Reading the other reviews, it seems like a lot of other people have similar issues. The problem is the workers themselves (i.e., the people who actually provide the mosquito sprays) are very friendly, and ask you to give them a 5-star review every single time they spray, and give you a discount if you do so. Obvious inflationary reviewing bullcrud. Sad! Let's all just invest in some big ass fans instead.

We had an entire flock of pigeons on our roof, no lie, an entire flock. There were so many pigeons…read morethat at first, I thought we had rats because of all the running around we heard on the roof. Eventually, we started seeing eggs rolling out of our rain gutter every now and then where they set up their nest. We figured they couldn't get in the attic, so we didn't pay them much attention. We try not to kill or disturb animals if they are not causing harm or property damage. Then came the smell! We thought a bird died up there. Time to call the professionals. It was much harder to get someone to come out, let alone on the same day. I am SO glad I called Bloodhound Wildlife Management. Sam and the crew were awesome! They came out right away. They were professional, efficient, and honorable. Three things that are rare nowadays. I talked to them while they set up then went back inside. By the time I finished my first adult beverage, they were packed up, cleaned up, and all the birds were gone! You would have never known the birds, or Sam and his crew, were even there but for the broken eggs. They showed me pictures of the work they performed so that I knew everything was done. They set up bird spike so the birds wouldn't comeback. While they were very confident the birds were gone forever, they told me to call them back if the birds do and they will come out again. You cannot go wrong Bloodhound Wildlife Management. Very impressed and happy!
