Amazing pulled pork, unusual but delicious sauces, and in a really cool spot. The brisket was also pretty good but the pork was the winner for our group. read more

Located along the Airstream food truck row, I found this to be the best of the bunch. I had the beef brisket sandwich with the beans and mac and cheese. The beef brisket was slightly dried out but still had good flavor. I added a little of 1 of their several bbq sauces to the sandwich and it was good to go. The beans were probably the best bbq beans that I have ever had. They included some bell pepper, onion, and one(or maybe all) of their meat debris/drippings. They were phenomenal. The mac and cheese was ok. Their kids menu leaves some to be desired. The chicken strips were of those found in a Kid Cuisine frozen meal. The prices are a little high for bbq but overall really good for a food truck. read more

Worst ribs we have ever had. Cold and rubbery just like a previous review mentioned. Ordered nachos, which were okay. Chicken was dry. Mac and cheese was literally Velveeta. Worst $70 we spent on our trip. So disappointing. read more

People taking order were not very helpful in describing menu options. went with the 2 meats, 2 sides option and paid nearly $40 for what tasted like boiled chicken and pork. there was no seasoning or sauce on anything, corn was sour and the mac n cheese tasted like boxed velveeta. wish we could get our money back. read more

We've been here twice on our week vacation. I enjoyed it both times. First time I got the chicken salad sandwich, second time I had the brisket sandwich. Can't go wrong with either. read more

I usually don't leave reviews but after seeing some reviews I had to leave one saying this is the best bbq I have ever had! I am picky with BBQ and the brisket was so tender and had so much flavor. My kids also got the chicken sliders and couldn't believe how good the chicken was! Def will be back before our vacation ends! read more

A great Seaside treat! Everything on the menu is a winner. (Beans are outstanding...For my sides, I always get two orders of beans!)

Decent BBQ. Not the absolute best I've ever had but better than chain BBQ restaurants. I had the beef brisket sandwich with Mac & Cheese and Corn on the cob. ($11.95). The brisket- very good. Big chunks. Had a good mix of lean and fatty pieces. The sides- lacking. The mac and cheese didn't seem too cheesy and the pasta was over cooked. The did shake a dry BBQ rub on top that gave it some decent flavor. Luckily they had it on the table and I was able to put more on. The corn on the cob reminded me of the small frozen pieces from a grocery store and it wasn't even all that warm. They had a decent beer selection for a small place. A couple of local brews from the panhandle area. A nice thing they offered, which you don't see with food tucks normally, was unlimited soft drink refills. The cup you got was good all day. This could be great if you're going over to the beach or just walking around the seaside area. Overall: meat was good, sides not so much. I'd go back but maybe just get meat by the pound and pass on the sides. read more

Barefoot BBQ - The Bomb! - Barbeque Near Me - Seaside, Florida

We come to Seaside often but this was our first time trying Barefoot! It was pretty good and what's better is that it offered a different type it food on Seaside beach. Slowly but surely they're adding to the choice of cuisines here. I got the pulled pork sandwich with Mac & cheese and potato salad - for $10.95 and I also got the Bloody Mary since they claim the best Bloody Mary on 30A. It was pretty delicious if I might say. The Bloody Mary was $7.50. If you go when it's crowded, then good luck finding seating. The workers are always pretty upbeat whenever we order or walk by, which is great! read more

A must-way every time we're in Seaside. I crave it back in Texas, but there's no recreating the masterpiece that is the BBQ Nachos. I brought my husband who had never been before and insisted he get the nachos and they didn't disappoint! read more

Incredibly disappointing. There is a small sign that says a 15% service fee is added to every bill. Unless you are paying close attention, this will be missed. So we added on additional gratuity. Then got our bill and the service fee is now listed as gratuity. Will not be returning and will make sure friends know not to come here. read more

Not really impressed. I definitely loved the area and the food truck idea but given the wait and prices I was expecting more. Maybe we have enough good BBQ in STL so I'm a little spoiled. We ordered a medley of items from pulled pork sandwiches and sliders. Overall the portions were a little small for the price (again this is Seaside) but my main issue was the dry meat. Good BBQ needs to keep the meat moist. This tasted like it had been under a heat lamp most of the day. They do provide multiple different BBQ sauce flavors but none were very flavorful. I tried lots of different types just to moisten the meat but most were very watery. Seating is limited on the street but most people carry their plates to the green space near the stage. Overall a cool idea but just not the best version of BBQ. Hey when dining here you're still steps from the beach in beautiful Seaside! read more

The bbq pulled pork sandwich was so buttery I couldn't taste the bbq. So much butter on the Texas toast it literally tore up the sandwich. They shouldn't put any butter on the bread and use a bun instead of white wonder bread. Mac n cheese the best. They've changed what they originally did with Their bbq- it's more saucy. I like it when it was dry and u add your own sauces read more

First time visit. We ordered the combo platter with pulled chicken and brisket. We both got a side of macaroni and cheese. It was definitely underwhelming and bland. The meat had zero flavor aside from the BBQ sauce you choose and add to it. The macaroni and cheese was rather bland. We would not go back. read more

This restaurant totally blows (my mind). They somehow managed to put more bone and fat on the ribs than the meat they were selling for $28. Not to mention, the little meat that was found on my ribs was badly seasoned and undercooked. When I say undercooked, I mean it was difficult to remove the meat with my newly sharpened knives. This is an embarrassment to the South East, which is known for their bbq. Simply bad ribs made in a hurry. My day has been ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable. read more

You cannot go wrong at Barefoot BBQ. We had the brisket sliders and sweet tea. The brisket was delicious. Friendly service and quick too. When in Seaside, definitely stop by the airstream to get a great meal. Stay and eat at one of the little picnic tables nearby in the shade. read more

The service is terrible! The guy at the register kept rushing and insulting us. We were ordering for a friend and he pressed us for getting it wrong and talked about how long of a line he had meanwhile he had no clue how to work a register. Also, the food is horrible! I had to drench my pork in sauce just to get it down my throat. The corn was soggy and the cole slaw had pineapple in it for some reason. The only thing that was decent was the nachos but I have no idea how you could mess that up. read more

Come on Yelpers! I live in the ATL I'm spoiled by the quality of the cue. This place is not bbq. I attached a picture of the ribs I had. No smoke ring, no char. These were paraboiled and prepared with liquid smoke. They were high quality meat, but come on, 4 stars for boiled ribs? read more

Barefoot BBQ - Do you see smoke ring or char? - Barbeque Near Me - Seaside, Florida

Here's something I don't get about people that are BBQ experts or whatever. They are basically like beer snobs only fatter. What the hell is the point of that? "oh the meat was a bit too dry, I used my iphone with the BBQ moisture app to determine it was off by 1% saturation on the molar level". I don't get it. The real test of BBQ is: do you eat it, knowing that it is not good for you, and then sort of regret having eaten it because you want more? In that regard, for Barefoot BBQ the answer is a resounding yes. The brisket is fantastic, though I prefer my brisket unchopped. The pulled pork is simply perfect, and the ribs are juicy without having the solid mass of rind that I tend to find on ribs. Rather, there is some bite to them, real flavor from the meat that saturates your mouth as you bite into them. The sides are excellent - the coleslaw in particular has pineapple in it and is fantastic, not only because they use purple cabbage, but because the acidity of the pineapple cuts through the hotness of the sauce. This all warrants 4 stars, but what pushes this place over the top is the fact that the pitmaster is awesome. My brother has a green egg that he smokes meat with, but his brisket never reaches the level of other briskets I have had(I'm looking at you, chuckwagon). The pitmaster talked to my brother for about 15 minutes about different techniques, where to get good meats, how long to cook and tips and tricks, then he gave my brother a tour of the smoking area and showed him how he does the meat every day. All while I stole a lot of my brother's food, which he barely noticed when he sat back down, which really only adds to the score. This is a food truck, so if you are uncomfortable being a fatty fatty fat fat outside, gorging yourself on meats, covered in BBQ sauce like a man eating a buffalo heart, then really, why the fuck are you eating BBQ in the first place? Revel in your fatness, I know I do. Enjoy the best BBQ in panama city, and then later, sitting at the beach watching young, trim beauties walking by, then you can feel guilty...that you do not care about them as long as there is sweet, delicious BBQ. read more

It's funny the different tastes people have. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and I thought it was really good. It definitely needed some sauce (I'm a no sauce should be needed bbq girl from Texas), but I still thought it was good. My husband didn't like it at all. He felt like there was way too much fat for a meat that should be trimmed. The baked beans were interesting. They weren't what I necessarily expected as they definitely had a sweetness. But, I still thought they were good. The Mac and cheese was the blandest I've ever had. Worthless. But....the margarita was delicious and made the stop totally worth it. $86 for dinner for four (plus two margaritas) and you eat wherever you can find a spot. It's expensive. But, everything here is. We expected a better deal from a food truck. But, it's Seaside. You learn to expect outrageous prices. read more

I have had several heart breaking experiences regarding our dining experiences while here, so I was eager to have my culinary palate satisfied, and a food truck was one of the first places to do it :) We had walked by this set of food trucks the day before and drooled over the menus. I didn't want to get my hopes high and then dashed, so I remained ho-hum leading up to my first bite. We ordered the nachos with BBQ pork, and let our eyes gaze upon the delight before we let our taste buds experience it. With a silent prayer to not be let down again, I took my first bite. Hallelujah! The BBQ pork was tender, moist, and flavorful, and the chips at the bottom of the pile had soaked up meaty, juicy goodness, and I loved each last bite. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE. An absolute ripoff. You only get half of what you usually pay for at your typical restaurant / food place. A chicken tender basket with a small bag of potato chips was 12 dollars and came with 3 chicken nugget sized "tenders." A cup of sprite was $6!! The food doesn't taste fresh at all, can tell it was prepared significantly earlier than before it was ordered. I usually don't like speaking negatively on businesses but this was one I just absolutely had to review on. read more

LOL @ Richard L! Who DOES use an iPhone app for bbq moisture and why is there even an app for that! The hubby and I LOVE food trucks, but this is a ... permanent... food truck.? I thought the point of having a food truck was so you could drive to where the food was to be served. But anyway, I didn't care because their sandwiches are so awesome and they serve you beer on the sidewalk. (you can't do that in ATL) read more

Pretty much the only place open on Christmas Day and they were a life saver. It was fantastic. Great brisket!

We got the sampler plate with ribs and pulled pork. This was pretty good BBQ, and the sauces were flavorful (4 types). The pulled pork was at least 1/3 fat, unfortunately. The coleslaw was unique but had a good tang/sweet combo with red cabbage primarily, and the side of the day - red pepper gouda soup - was such a hot commodity my wife and I were both vying for it. Overall, 4 stars for the food. What dinged it for me was the nickeling and diming - forced 10% gratuity on a food truck? Seriously? And don't forget the 9-10% in sales tax and 30 cents extra if you want to do take out. read more

This food truck draws you in with the delicious smell of bbq...but don't let it fool you. We ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs with a side of baked beans and macaroni and cheese. We ended up with 2 sides of Mac and no baked beans. The ribs were painfully dry and the texture was rubbery. Hard to get off the bone. Just not good. The best thing about this place is they offer beer on tap. Would not suggest going here. read more

Operating out of 2 Airstream trailers beside Hwy. 30A in the town center of Seaside, FL, (near Destin) Barefoot BBQ is just steps off the beach. But the chilly December day that I stopped here wasn't a beach day-it was the kind of gray, cloudy day when some good barbecue really hits the spot. Looking over the menu, the first thing I noticed (after the prices) was the pecan smoked pork sandwich. I am a big fan of smoking pork with pecan wood in the little bit that I have done, so that was the obvious choice for me. The prices were comparatively high-$15 for a sandwich, two sides and drink! but the smell of the meat on the smoker, wafting on the cold wind, convinced me to give it a try. I took my sandwich, potato salad and soup to the truck to eat on the ride home. That was a mistake. I drove the next 15 miles paying more attention to making sure I didn't lose one bite of that sandwich, rather than making sure I stayed in my own lane on the road. It was that good. Just the right amount of smoke, combined with perfectly seasoned meat piled high on garlic toast made this the best pork sandwich I've ever tasted-even without any sauce. They have four flavors of sauce and I tried one, but I don't remember much about it. Compared to the wonderful sandwich, sauce was an insignificant afterthought. The potato salad and barley soup were excellent as well. The only complaint I have is that the tea seemed to be canned Lipton. read more

Pulled Pork sandwich worth stopping here for. Just like anyplace else in a tourists area, expect to pay more than you would at home, kids meals are especially expensive for what you get around here, and Barefoot BBQ is no different in that aspect, quite pricey for some frozen chicken fingers....but the kids did love the free Frisbee that served as their plates. Love the group of airstream trailers, 5 star for atmosphere, but could not bring out full 5 star with the price for 4 to eat here. read more

Probably the best BBQ on the Panhandle So this may be a bit of an outlandish statement, but their Q is top notch. I ordered a half pound of pulled pork, and it had everything I look for. Good smokey flavor, nice bark, tender as can be, and juicy. They don't smother it in sauce before they give it to you, which proves to me they have nothing to hide. They do offer a variety of sauces - the vinegar and mustard based ones were my favorites. The staff was very nice, and I do believe these guys and their pork could compete anywhere. Prices were pretty reasonable, especially for the area. read more

Mediocre at best, and so expensive (although it does seem on par with other places in the area). We got a nachos with pulled pork, a full rack of ribs, mac & cheese and cole slaw. The cheese on the nachos seemed like it was from a jar, not like real melted cheese, and the flavor was overall just kind of blah. Ribs didn't really have any smoke flavor, and they needed lots of sauce to accompany them as they were pretty flavorless. Mac & cheese and cole slaw were fine, nothing special. read more

Pretty good! Love the traditional BBQ sauce & their mac & cheese is amazing.

@Richards review is the best review....maybe ever. I can't top that but I would suggest his review is to reviews as Barefoot BBQ is to BBQ. They have four sauces that are all so good, I write poems about them. They catered an event for me and delivered it right to our door. Great communication and Jenny followed up with me the next day to make sure everyone was pleased. They were indeed. I had a couple of BBQ snobs in attendance who were very impressed that they could get that quality organic grub at the beach. Cheers BFBBQ! You complete me. read more

There is always a charm around a food truck. The food is average, if I go there again I would order the pulled pork which is ok. The owner could be charming like I saw while he was waiting on other people, but seems short tempered like when we ordered. You can tell he doesn't have a lot of patience by the way he interacts with people who don't know what to order. My advice is that even though you may cater to tourists first impressions are important. I personally don't plan to eat there again or take my family and friends. read more

Everything tastes great. Nice smokey flavor to the pulled pork sandwich. A touch on the pricey side but well worth it. Mac and cheese side is excellent and not just an afterthought. Barefoot BBQ - Pulled pork platter - Barbeque Near Me - Seaside, Florida

I'm probably the worst person to write a review for a BBQ joint - being that I do not like BBQ but wanted to try the chicken salad sandwich- the rating I'm giving is solely on my particular taste and not the quality of the food or the people. There seemed to be lots of pieces of apples in it which I'm not a fan of fruit in my chicken salad - there was also a smokey taste from the paprika seasoning they sprinkle on top (also put on their Mac-n-cheese). So this review is really for those picky eaters out there! read more

A little silver trailer on the side of the road has some delish BBQ (and I'm not normally a fan). Not only was their pulled pork sandwich scrumptious, it came with two sides that were fresh and just as yummy. To top it all off, at each of the outdoor picnic tables they have four different types of BBQ sauces for all different likings. - vinegar based - mustard based - traditional - spicy If you're in the area this would be a great place to stop for a bite to eat on the way to the beach. read more

You wouldnt think that you could get great BBQ from an airstream trailer parked on the side of the road but that is very far from the truth in this case. I have eaten here many times and wont miss it when I come to the beach. The pulled pork is some of the best BBQ I've had! They also have 4 sauces, each different and all are very good but Hang Ten is my favorite. read more
