My last review of Ferrucci's was about eight years ago, and while it wasn't a bad experience, it…read morewas just okay--and we hadn't made it back since during our annual trips. After hearing about the changes along Harrison Avenue and that Ferrucci's had undergone a makeover, we decided to give it another try. Wow, talk about redemption! We had a great night with a lovely dining experience, refreshing drinks, and delicious food that delivered one great course after another. The roasted red peppers and prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella ball kicked off the evening and didn't disappoint. We remembered enjoying it years ago, and it still remains a favorite today. Next, we warmed up from the chilly December night air with a cup of potato soup and chicken tortellini. Both were satisfyingly delicious, leaving you scraping the bowl for more. For entrées, my wife ordered the Zuppa di Pesce, a seafood stew with a spicy tomato broth. It was packed with seafood and flavor, with just enough heat to put a little sweat on your brow. I opted for the night's special--the lobster ravioli with sautéed mushrooms--which delivered savory, well-balanced flavors and the kind of satisfaction that comes from knowing you made the right choice. Too full for dessert, we ordered another round of drinks and toasted to second chances done right. Ferrucci's has clearly found its groove, and in a town with limited Italian choices, that matters. Consider this redemption story complete--we'll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere for a dinner. I ordered the Penne Al Salmone which was really good. The salmon…read morepieces had a great smoky flavor & the pasta had a creamy! The Chicken Parmesan was very good and tasty as well. We had a great server that was very polite and always checked on us to ensure the meal was good. Looking forward to checking out more!

From start to finish, the meal was truly incredible. It began with their special assortment of…read morebutter, which immediately set the tone, rich, flavorful, and the perfect touch to kick things off. The she-crab soup was absolutely amazing, silky, savory, and full of depth with that classic coastal richness done just right. Then came the sautéed crab claws, tender and perfectly seasoned, packed with flavor in every bite. And the lobster mac & cheese completely stole the show. Creamy, indulgent, and loaded with fresh, tender lobster, it had the most incredible savory flavor. The cheese sauce was velvety and perfectly balanced, making each bite better than the last. Every part of the meal was thoughtfully done and truly unforgettable including the amazing service and beautiful ambiance.

Unfortunately, the experience declined once we were seated at the bar. Our drinks were served while the bar still had the previous guests' dirty napkins in front of us, and the surface was noticeably sticky. It immediately created the impression that cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking. Our server was warm, pleasant, and genuinely kind. However, it seemed clear that she had received very little formal training in restaurant service. Communication was difficult at times due to the language barrier, and there was little evidence of knowledge regarding menu items, dining etiquette, or professional table service. Her friendliness was evident, but better training and support would have greatly improved the experience. The biggest disappointment was the food itself. While the menu promised much, the execution fell well short of expectations. The dishes lacked the quality, flavor, and attention to detail that would justify recommending the restaurant. One additional observation was the overall dining atmosphere. The restaurant's ambiance was diminished by a clientele whose extremely casual attire and behavior made the experience feel less refined than expected for a restaurant of this type. I generally dine out looking for an enjoyable evening and rarely complain, even when a meal is disappointing. I did not raise any issues during our visit because I prefer simply to enjoy the experience and move on. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet expectations, and based on the overall experience, I would not return or recommend Firefly to others.
