Mr. Bare failed to notify me that my ex-husband, an attorney, had gone from being unemployed and requesting that I pay him spousal support to becoming gainfully employed and earning some $10k a month (I am a teacher with significantly less earning power). I missed out on months of spousal support as a result of this mishap. I fired Mr. Bare, represented myself, and had an excellent outcome. Mr. Bare was easily convinced that my ex-husband's outrageous legal claims "might have merit" and insisted on going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole, chasing nothing and costing me, a single mother, thousands of dollars in the process. Mr. Bare stated at one point "I didn't know you needed money" as part of his justification that they had not aggressively pursued appropriate child support for my, then 2 year old, child. read more

Where do I start? I walked into Bare Law in tears, scared beyond words and totally broken. I met with Jasmine who right away made me feel like there was nothing to be scared of, she was understanding, compassionate and fierce, someone you definitely want on your side. They took on a real messy case for me. My divorce will be final now for 4 years. And I'm still fighting for what is owed to me. My previous attorney dropped the ball when it came to filing "joinders" for the pension plans. My ex-husband retired without my knowledge. He took all of the community property savings and started drawing his pension. Even though it was in the divorce decree that it was to be divided equally. It was a long-term 30-year marriage that I invested my life in. The ex-husband got remarried the day after our divorce was final #bettybroderick. He has ignored almost every court appearance, judgment, order, etc. I was emotional, anxious, angry, and at my witts end! About a year ago I hired Robert and Julie to take this weight off my shoulders. They had to file the QDRO post-retirement. This was so difficult as he already started drawing his pension. QDRO's are not easy, especially retroactively. It was denied the first time. Then they resubmitted and it was approved. This is for 2 separate pensions. This has been a long-drawn-out process. They were with me every step of the way. Robert has a way of delivering his argument that can be construed as arrogant. It stirs up opposing counsel a bit. My ex-husband has another business that he lies about. Robert's tactics got opposing counsel to admit that his client does have a business and an income. The judge awarded Bare Law a significant amount of money to cover my attorney's fees. And the ex-husband was ordered to have my portion of the community property deposited by 01/01/2022. The judge (because Shystie didn't show up) signed off on releasing the 50% of the pension I am owed w/o penalty. The end result was beautiful! Don't give up ladies and gents!
