Well i have finally found the burger joint of my dreams... i tried their fried chicken and omg i was like 'im never going anywhere else for fried chicken again'! Spicy hit but oh so yummy! I had the chicken burger - now my to 'die for burger', hubby had the Bare and the Hotdog burgers and he was in heaven. We also got to try the mac n cheese burger, these people know how to do mac n cheese right, combine that with the tastiest beef burger patties are a match made in heaven! Our new friend had the vegetarian Herbivore burger and she said it was awesome! You need to seek out this place as you will lurrrve it!

Not so cheesy. Sooo not true! Oh sooo meaty! Oh sooo amazing! And that's just one of the burgers Bare Grill has to offer. Filled to bursting with double cheese, Mac n cheese AND liquid cheese. Epic fries are a welcome change to your usual chips and these are my new favourite. Waffle fries loaded with succulent pulled pork, liquid cheese and BBQ sauce with just enough green onion to keep it fresh and colourful. I think I polished off most of the basket by myself! Juicy, crunchy coated chicken is also available and the curry spice is perfect leaving a hum on your tongue that will have you wanting more. I may live two hours away but I will definitely be back to attack more of the menu!! Maybe even a Death by Burger if I bring some stretchy pants....

I was fortunate enough to attend the Bare Grill on Bourke Yelp elite event on a sunny Sunday arvo in Sydney. Bare Grill do awesome burgers, loaded fries and freak shakes. They have a loyal following that travelled to La Perouse to sample their goods. It is a testamemt to the quality food they produce, they have now opened a second store in Surry Hills across from the Beresford Hotel(The Berro). This central location making their food more accessible to the masses. This location may not have the ocean views and picnic rugs that the La Perouse store has. The new store is much larger, with indoor and outdoor seating. Bare Grill Surry Hills is a licensed bar and grill allowing you to enjoy an alcoholic beverage or two with your meal. Ben did a great job partnering up with Gage Road Brewing Co who supplied their nice refreshing summer and pale ale for the event. The restaurant has a modern fit out with a bar and open kitchen allowing you to watch the chefs at work and the nacho cheese machine in action. There is a large street art mural featurng Jimmy Hendrix giving a cool street vibe. They have even managed to step it foodwise. The mac and cheese with pulled pork was amazing. The cheese on cheese(mac and cheese burger) and the King bare classic hot dog burger were off the hook. The OTT freak shakes based on the snickers and gaytime, they are crazy good.  Don't threat, they still have their classic beef and chicken burgers. Being a bar and grill they also serve great steaks and delicious ribs and if you are after something heathy; there are salads too. Loved this second location and fit out. The food is great and the reastaurant is in an easier location. Definitely winning. Thanks for the great event Ben.

I'm so excited that Bare Grill has expanded to another location in Surry Hills. Their original store in La Perouse always had long queues for their delicious and famous burgers (I know people travelled for these burgers) but now they can venture out to Surry Hills. Bare Grill's new venue in Surry Hills is right across from the Beresford and is also licensed so you can enjoy a few beers with your burgers before having a night out in Surry Hills. I start off with some EPIC fries. These fries are pretty epic ($15) with chunks of pulled pork, lashings of smokey BBQ sauce, chipotle sauce and spring onions on crunchy waffle fries. EPIC and DELICIOUS. I highly recommend these fries. I'm tempted to get the fighting cock fighter burger but I want to try something different so I go for the Bare Burger ($12). The Bare Burger has a beef patty with american cheddar, caramelised onions, tomato, bare sauce on a milk bun. This is a classic beef burger combination. The beef patties are so tender and the mix of flavours is sooo delicious. Awesome burg and highly recommended.

Hate hate hate wasting calories. I was soooo looking forward to this joint. Could not decide as I wanted EVERYTHING listed on the menu. I didn't mind the wait (I truly didn't notice as it's my first time there), until one staff member told me abt the stuff up (twice). Then another staff member came to apologise. I reassured them it's ok. What I did mind was that on the way to pass my take away to me, the bag broke do the staff went and put it in another bag. As a result, my 'supposed' epic mac and cheese was a mess upon opening. I say 'supposed' spicy mac and cheese bc they forgot the epic waffle fries. Upon calling them, their phone went to an answering machine. Some bits of macaroni were cold too. Don't think it's suppose to be like that. I was still keen on the burger. But that didn't quite hit the spot. Sooooo ..... unless I had a unlucky day, Bare has done marvellously at their marketing. I certainly wouldn't rate this place. It could have been one staff member that stuffed up. But what they thought they stuff up on had nothing to do with my disappointment.

If you love burgers and live in Sydney this place is not unknown to you. Bare grill has just opened its second location on bourke street surry hills and the decor is as epic as the burgers. The Mac and cheese burger is something different but somehow works overflowing with cheese and meat - it is an achievement to get through this burger. New to the menu is the hot dog burger which is my top pick. The combination of the chutney sauce, sausage and traditional burger was delicious and should be on any burger lovers list. In addition to burgers they have a selection of gage road beers, do yourself a favour and grab the twin fin summer ale. If you can find your way through these mammoth burgers chow down on the loaded waffle fries which are a perfect accompaniment.

Was here at an event. Parking was easy, ticketed but right out the front. Service was great and kitchen happy to assist with modifications. Food came out really quickly even tho there was a lot of us there. Great space both indoor and out door. Great variety of burgers on the menu. Price is GREAT. Good bar area too. I had the veggie burger and fries. The fries had a lovely spiced seasoning and a nice portion. The burger was juicy, full of flavor, even amount of toppings and the bun was perfect. Great job guys keep up the good work.

This is a burger joint with attitude - from the amazing vibe of the open air back section and roomy outdoor seating to their amazing artwork decorating the walls. We were here on the weekend and had a feast. The Mac'n'Cheese Burger and Hot Dog Burger were out of this world. They looked and smelt delicious and tasted like a speciality burger should have - amazing. My favourite of the two would have to be the Hot Dog Burger! The chutney style sauce is to die for... couple this with a Gage Road Twin Fin summer ale and whistle away your afternoon in burger and brew bliss!

    Big beautiful burgers!

Last nights Bare Grill Surry Hills opening was a total burger fest! Even Marilyn got in on the action. We tried a variety of delicious fully-loaded burgers and ordered a nice glass of red from the bar I think it's safe to say, Bare Gills is here to stay!

    Mac and cheese burger!

Friendly staff, great and imaginative burgers, monster shakes (which I need to go back and try), delicious fried chicken, all moderately priced! Will definitely be back soon/visit the La Perouse location!!

What an absolutely great experience. From the vibe to the service and the food. Everything put together, made this an excellent experience. I had the Trip with Racclette cheese. The beef patty was cooked to perfection and really nicely seasoned. The hit of the bacon was definitely a bonus in this burger. Now to the cheese.... I found that after a while it was a little too much cheese and very filling. Overall it was a tasty bite. The buffalo wings with blue cheese really blew my mind. What a great combination of flavour. I would've never thought that such a combination would be so explosive for my taste buds.

I found this place while visiting Sydney last week. I'm from Miami and we have burger joints like Five Guys with your typical. Bare Grill offered an exotic menu selection with all kinds different burgers built to your taste. We visited 3 times while in Sydney. The decor was cool and food was excellent. On our 3rd visit there management offered us an order of complementary loaded waffle fries which were outstanding. So if anyone is looking for a Burger joint in Sydney this place is a can't miss. A word to the wise do not fill up on the loaded fries because you won't have any room for the burgers. You've been warned!

It was quite filling, but it wasn't one of those burgers that makes you feel a little disgusting from eating all of the oil and fat from it. The fries were also quite good, but not as notable. An assortment of sauces will be served with the burgers that are fun to try with your meal. I got a berry kombucha that, while not homemade, is made by Tony's "good mate liam in byron bay." It was one of the better kombuchas I've had as well. The staff are extremely friendly and chatty. The joint is well decorated with musical paraphernalia and a comfy outside seating arrangement. Note 1: I highly recommend the burger order I got after our waitress excitedly told us it was her favorite. The #BORDY with bacon added on. Note 2: They will swap any of the burger patties with a plant based patty for a couple bucks, so vegetarians aren't out of luck. The vegetarians I ate with said it was still very good, but not at the same level as I was describing the burger I had. Note 3: They are dog friendly. I saw one dog there while I was eating and a few more when I had passed by earlier in the day.

We've been to Moo plenty of times so decided to give this place a go. We all ordered different types of burgers and none of us where left pleased. There was no flair to the Wagyu Cheeseburger. Good thing we passed by Burger Barrel along the way to satisfy our needs. I don't go out to Coogee that often and I never heard about this place so I didn't even know it existed until we rode by. It seems pretty newish, but also looks like it's been there at least a year based on stuff I've seen on social media. Anyway, the burgers all start at $10 which is kind of cool and they have a bunch of different options, so it's eerily kind of like Chur Burger, even down to the bun...my mortal enemy, brioche buns. I ordered the special of the day which was a wagyu cheeseburger ($14) and got double meat for $4 more, but forgot to get double cheese for $1 because I assumed it would include it...whoops! My mate ordered the classic cheeseburger for $12 and mine came with onion rings and his came with chips. 3/5 for both. Meat is OK but a little overcooked for my taste as they're all done medium. Also the brioche is meh. They'll do the job but they aren't mind blowing by any means, definitely worth a look if you're craving a burger in the area and/or Coogee Pavilion is closed.

Stumbled by this place completely by accident as DonDons was full we were drawn to here like MAGNETS! Cash flow was low, you know yourself money buried in the desert and all.... Anyways we saw the menu outside and it got our attention straight away. One thing I like is a place that has small amount of variety but does that small amount exceptionally well. I hoped that would be this place.... It WAS this place. We had the Heisenburger and I think it was the Eazy E I had (the basic one) with added american cheese and cracked bacon and let me just say if you do one thing here it's add the cheese and bacon. Both landed on our table and lasted 1 minute and 30 seconds at best (that's what she said, wahey!)... Delicious, sensational 99% pure! The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because we just had the burgers with no fries. As I was on a budget bacon and cheese fries might have stretched it out a little bit, it's not cheap if you add the extras but it is very very good. I will be back to try the bacon fries and hopefully give this place the five stars I'm confident it deserves. Is this a burger place for you to try out? You're goddamn right..... Ding! Ding! Ding!

Just got back to Sydney and figured it was time to try the new kid on the block, Burgers Anonymous…read more The outfit here is thematically Breaking Bad with a hip hop soundtrack, so you obviously can't go wrong here. Their selling point here is the beef they use, which hails from Hunter Valley Premium Meats and is their own blend of Angus Sirloin. Sirloin is typically a more expensive cut with less fat and in my opinion, makes for a far better steak than a burger patty, but we can see what's up. I opted for the Heisenburger because it's a double and has the crack bacon (double smoked, triple glazed.) Double beef patty, bacon, double American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, BA sauce The food came pretty quick and the burger looked great. The crack bacon is aptly named cause it is the perfect blend of sweet and savoury. The BA sauce is pretty great, but they could have added a little more, and the rest of the toppings besides the cheese were more of an afterthought. The patties are pretty damn tasty, cooked just right and seasoned very well, the downsides are it could have been juicier (more fat) and they could have been bigger as they were on the thin side. The bun is probably the biggest let down for this burger which would otherwise make this burger awesome. It's a milk bun that holds it all together but it's dry and at some points so airy that it's a little chalky, which really brings the burger down. If the bun could be improved this burger would be dope as, as well as more BA sauce.
