I randomly stumbled upon The Skin Connect just going down the rabbit hole of the internet and I'm so glad I found them on my first try. I don't feel the need to experiment any other place. To my understanding, this place is co-founded by two women. I am sure they're both great (I don't remember the name of the one that helped me, but reading the other reviews, I don't think it's Natalie so if must be the other girl). I went right after they eased the Covid restrictions in July. I felt very safe there and they are extremely cautious with cleanliness. I am a seasoned bikini waxer so I know what to expect and look out for. The girl who helped me was so quick and knew exactly what she was doing. The whole thing was painless and we chatted the entire time. She wasn't pushy at all with their products or services. It's been over two months since I got my brazilian wax (and I usually get one every 6-8 weeks) and everything still looks super neat and nice. Whatever they use, it is magical! The price is very reasonable and I would recommend this place to any one in a heartbeat.

Had a 60-minute facial, which I was afraid would be less than 60 minutes, but Emily conducted my facial well into 70 minutes. She was so gentle and informative. Naturally I would tip her heavily for the good experience I had, it just felt weird after seeing it in writing that I was going to need to pay it. Here's the breakdown of what I paid for my visit: 36$ (Groupon) + 3.60$ (taxes) + 15$ (tip for Emily)= FINAL COST: 54.60$ Which isn't bad for what I got. Will I go back, yes. I just might.

It really is no frills- as other reviewers have mentioned: shared space, you don't get to take off your clothes (this would be an awkward con in any other context), and no shoulder or neck massage during facial. But it's just so cheap for a quality facial I give them a lot of leeway. The facial massage was super relaxing; I've never had such a great massage around my eye area. The aesthetician was super sweet and only tried to up sell me once which was a plus. The extractions were thorough and much needed on my congested skin. I really appreciated the fact that I didn't leave the spa with the "I just came back from a facial glow." Believe me, it's not a good glow; it's your skin glowing red because of it's inflamed from extractions.
