    I don't actually bank with Natwest but have often been inside this branch with a friend…read more There is always a queue for the counter service so give yourself plenty of time to visit. There's is usually a shorter queue for the help desk and the staff are always really helpful. They have private rooms for discussing your account in confidence or if you need to sort your overdraft, loan etc. Their 'quick pay' service is a small postbox on the wall and not very secure in my opinion. There are cash points inside as well as outside; the outside ones are usually quite busy. Overall, it's clean and tidy inside with friendly staff, it's just the queues that let it down.

    I really don't think this branch of natwest is suitable for the amount of people that use it,…read morewhenever I go in there is always a queue right up to the door, which means that if you need something from the cash counter, you're in for a long wait as they don't often have many staff on, which surprises me as there always seems to be lots milling about the place, just not on the tills. On the upside whenever I go in, despite the wait the customer service is always excellent, and very rarely need to wait for an issue with my account to be resolved. They have 2 cash machines in the branch, which is useful because often the ones in the wall outside are being used by people who don't actually bank with natwest, so they rarely use the ones inside and they usually have little or no queue.

My new one has not arrived and I've had to borrow money from people for 6 days. I go there in person today ,when I'm supposed to be working, armed with passport and driving licence, to get some of my own money out of their account, to pay people back, put fuel in my car and buy some food. Their charmless assistant tells me that I can only have £50 of my own money. I explain the situation and she says 'that's the head office rule'. I say that they might want to show some flexibility given that all the error was theirs and the money in their account is mine. She leaves me standing while she speaks to the Manager. When she comes back 10 mins later, she doesn't speak to me but gives me what I asked for and then says and I quote "We will make an exception for you on this occasion but, in future, you will only be allowed £50". At that point I get very angry and point out that rather than doing me a favour, I'm doing them a favour by banking with them and asked how they expected me to eat and get to work with no fuel after 6 days with no money because of their error. At that point, the manager interjects and tells me to lower my voice. She then apologises to the customers in their queue for my behaviour and says that 'If I have something to say, then I can wait 5 minutes and say it to her'. I'm not a violent person but it's a damn good job she was on the other side of the counter of I'd be arrested by now. I've banked with those idiots for 20 years, there's a decent amount of my hard earned cash in my account and that's the extra their people give me.
