They offer alot of deals and I love a deal. Drink is reasonably priced which is refreshing excuse the pun. All in all the clipper is a good bet if you are on a budget and out of ideas like I have been for the majority of my life. It'd be a lovely place to hold any milestone birthday, engagement party, wedding reception, etc. The prices of drinks at the bar were pretty reasonable, and space to relax or to mingle and chat. The dancefloor is a good size - definitely plenty of room for all your friends' and families' embarrassing dance moves, and all those dance-along favourites like the (heeeey) Macarena! Hamilton Town Hall is a beautiful, historic, pinnacle building in the heart of Hamilton. It's been there forever, the 20's if I'm not mistaken, and has had a couple of refurbs since. I've spent a lot of time in this theatre, as the youth theatre I was part of used this theatre for their shows, and I have so many fond memories of the place having spent about 5 weeks a year in total in the theatre! Now that I'm finished doing youth theatre I do love going to see their shows, and actually went to see Cats here on Saturday night, their most recent production, and it was fantastic. The Town Hall's theatre is amazing, but their library is outstanding as well and has everything you could ever need. The staff are great and willing to help with whatever they can, and I used the reference library a lot when I was doing my family tree, so I have first hand experience with how excellent the librarian's help was in here. If you have any questions about Hamilton's history, or anything book related, the librarians in here are the people to find.

This was our first time staying here and it won't be the last…read more Check in: Very smooth, we arrived early and wanted to drop our bags off, our room wasn't quite ready so Josephine took our bags and then Just gave us our room key so we could go straight to our room when we got back in. Room: Gorgeous! With a super comfy wooden framed bed, squishy pillows and a big fluffy duvet, bliss! There is a wee honesty box and a basket of water, chocolate and crisps. There is a decent sized kettle, a hair dryer and plenty of drawers to put your belongings in along with a cupboard with a rail. The room is a decent size and absolutely immaculate. The towels are fluffy and the shower has a decent flow and gets nice and hot. The shower gel and shampoo smell amazing! I'm going to ask where they are from so I can get some. There is one tiny drawback about the room and it's the location. It's right next to the front door and the dining room so you hear people, chatting and checking in. I think this room is a great option for somebody who may struggle to get upstairs but I think you should be asked if you mind having the room because of it's location. Don't get me wrong nobody has been over loud but you are aware of the people passing the room. One other wee thing, the selection of tea, coffee and hot choc is great and this is just a personal thing it would be nice to have maybe some peppermint or fruit tea in the options too. Breakfast: lush! You get a piece of paper the night before and circle the things you want on your cooked breakfast. There is a continental option too. In the dining room there is an assortment of cereals, yogurt and fruit. The bacon is yummy, really thick slices and really tasty. You get a decent sized portion. I ate over 4 hours ago and I'm not even peckish :-) Highly recommended! We will be back
