I love coming to this bar because it has music and a great vibe, but it's still a place where you can actually have a conversation. You can also end the night playing arcade games, which makes it even more fun. It's always a spot my husband and I come back to after doing a bar crawl. We even got lucky and found some coins someone had left behind for the machines, and we had a great time.

Stopped in for a few drinks while visiting Philly. Bartenders were all super quick and nice, the problem is I got so drunk I don't remember what I ate or had to drink, but that means it was a successful night!

Old school games for the win

Love this place! Drinks are really good and old school games really bring me back! Don't be fooled by the shiny and new F1 Arcade next door, this place is WAY better! Games upstairs and downstairs will have you busy all night long! Staff is very friendly and the whole vibe was chill and fun. We stayed for about and hour but it wasn't long enough: I would suggest giving yourself at least 2 hours there. Shoutout to the margaritas there!

I had lunch at Barcade bar and I'm glad I stumbled across this gem when I did! I came during a quiet afternoon but still could feel what people love about this place! They have an incredible $15 lunch deal featuring Sandwhich, fries and a beer but I opted for the Barcade HotDog! It was so good! The picture looks great but it tasted even better! Bartender Becca was great! 5/5! She had great recommendations on beer and was very kind & attentive! I didn't stay to play any games but I did see a few inside having a blast! I love all the writing on the walls too! Check this place out!

As a friend of mine put it, this place is a bit smaller than it appears. I get that it is super popular right now as it recently open, however, the lines to get a drink can get a bit ridiculous. I am not sure if that is a function of the crowds, the layout, or both. Since it took about 20-25 minutes to get our first round, we declined a second round. However, you probably aren't coming to Barcade for their drinks alone, as their bread and butter are video games. They do manage to squeeze a lot of them in and waits on even the most popular ones did not seem to be too long. They have the classics from the 80s (Q-Bert) and 90s/00s (Street Fighter, Daytona Racing) as well as newer ones (a Japanese game where you just slap the big button, sorry I don't remember the name). This location also has a few more pinball machines than the Fishtown one. You'll need tokens, which are a quarter each. The token machine line can get a bit long, but nothing like the drink line. And if a machine gives you problems, staff are available. I will probably wait for the popularity to die down a bit before going back, but overall I'm glad to see another Barcade location!

Butterfly pea tea ginger beer mocktail special

Staff is nice and can have a lot to deal with. Butterfly pea tea ginger beer mocktail special , not sure if the bartender I had made that up off the cuff or if it is a backup offering as I didn't see mocktails listed. I do like drinks but get overwhelmed with so much quantity and so many options. So water, juice, and mocktails are the new "it" for me for now but something different could pull me in another direction any which way. A friend here ordered a negroni, and they make it strong here, but it is a good choice to get here. The only thing "missing" is an orange peel! I think there are more games here than the other Barcade but not sure. Definitely denser here. Two floors here- if a friend didn't say so I would've thought there was a stairs for staff only. It gets typically crowded here on a Saturday night. 3 token machines at least. Can you find them all? Lol.

A friend wanted to stop in Barcade's Center City location while we were wandering around town. We sat at the bar (stools, no seat backs, uuuugh) and enjoyed some beers. I ordered the Dock Street local sour on draft, and it was quite good and refreshing. The interior space spans two floors and they have a variety of games. They have a food menu too but I had already eaten. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices reasonable.

    Best game of all time!

Barcade is a bar with lots of old school video games and pinball machines. Mario brothers, Ms. Pac Man, pirates of the Caribbean pinball, and pac man 4 players are just some of the games they have to offer. You can get Barcade coins to use in the machines, 4 for a $1 and most games are $.50 or $.75. There is a full bar with mixed drinks, beer on tap and some wine (no Chardonnay that night). It wasn't crowded on a Wed night but there were groups of friends and people throughout. There are two floors and they have high ceilings. The building is really nice. It's definitely an upscale vibe compared to the Fishtown Barcade which is more a dive bar vibe. Will be back again!

Barcade is such a fun place to visit with reasonably priced drinks, amazing staff (Danielle is literally the best), and such fun games. If you are looking for a fun place to hang out that has seating and a full service bar with amazing entertainment (all the retro arcade games), then look no farther. Skip the overly crowded Gayborhood bars and skip the overly crowded hetero bars for this gem of a place.

There are new items advertised that I really wanted but the worker I spoke with didn't know how to make them, they only allow orders on the kiosk, and the kiosk didn't have the new items. I tried to tell the service desk about the missing items so that the food workers can just simply say if this location doesn't offer the new items yet rather than tell me to keep looking at the kiosk and rather than have a mini physical billboard showing. One of the workers assumed I didn't want to wait in line and I wasn't trying to order food at the game desk. I was just trying to let someone else know besides the one food worker I spoke with because the food worker didn't have access to taking notes or calling someone up to make note of the issue or to even know to say that they did not have access to add to the menu electronically (whether that is actually true or not lol). There needs to be a better system for people who try to give honest feedback to help things run more smoothly for relative anomalies like this. This Round 1 is convenient and I can understand them selling out of a figure I wanted but some of this other stuff , especially with the notification I offered, could've been handled better. I like Round 1 more than Dave and Buster's but I like other Round 1s more than this one. It is less likely I stop at this one unless it is on my way enough. With the parking hassle, needing to know which one entrance is open because sadly the mall is not doing well, makes for a kinda shaky experience. Sincerely, an interested customer that is probably annoying for trying to calmly point out a few problems in-person in brief but then writes these annoying reviews lol

Second game the game didn't record the score correctly. This place is ran by a bunch of kids so they are pretty much hanging out the whole time. The bartender went on break from 11:30 -12:30 for some odd reason. I stood at the front desk trying to get help for 10 min and i walked over to the door and all the employees were hanging out goofing off. They called security on me and told me the manager was gone and no one could help me. Place is really cool but sucks it's poorly managed. I can see why it has low stars

We did have a little confusion at check in because the front desk didn't really explain how the courses worked, but Nylla completely turned it around. They have a huge footprint in Liberty Place with 4 9 hole courses and a large bar/dining area, You can RSVP online, but I think they take walk-ins too. We got there a little early and headed to the bar for a drink. We drank the beer on tap, but they were making a variety of beautiful cocktails behind the bar. When it's your turn you head to your course, they are distinctly named: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Amber, each with 9 holes. Pickup your putter and get your ball from your Puttnation rep at the beginning of each course. It's not your typical mini golf course. The balls have chips and are assigned to golfers. Each golfer finishes the hike before the next golfer begins. It automatically counts your strokes and keeps score. There are additional games of chance built into the game and a chance to win bonus points. True or False, Trivia, Connect 4, and more. So it's not based on the fewest strokes, but the most points. It was a lot of fun and I'd definitely do it again. I wish the courses were more unique...out of the 36 holes there were numerous repeats that appeared in all of the courses. You can skip around on your course as well, the ball knows who you are when you put it on the tee. Just don't do the 9th hole because it doesn't return your ball! Service at the bar was fast and friendly. I'd say the same of all the staff we interacted with, from the host station, to the coat check, the bar, and on the course.

We figured most places would be crowded since it was the Haiti vs. Brazil match which was happening in the city that night - the city was buzzing! My boyfriend suggested D & B and I was game. I made a reservation just in case - glad I did as many people ended up coming in. Now a will say there a couple things that has us making the face of the swaggy p meme: the first escalator going up working but the next one so we took the elevator the steps the rest of the way up to the restaurant; we would've the elevator, but the person passed out/laying on the ground threw our little one off a bit (hope that person is okay!)!; and when taking the elevator down when we eventually left later that night, we weren't sure if it was working since it didn't light up and didn't seem like it was moving at a point - it was fine though. Outside of those things, we had a pretty good time! Lol Food was typically bar food and good for us, though we weren't fans of the Cheesesteak egg rolls. Drinks were made well, and our little one said she enjoyed her food too. Of course, we had to head over to the games after eating and we had a blast! We initially had issues with the card at certain games, but it eventually was fine and we were able to play at every game we wanted. Because of our little one, I think we played and tried out almost every game in there. Overall, we had a good time and would consider coming back.

There's a broken escalator, an elevator that you're not sure either works or goes to the top, and railings that feel like someone left goo on them 12 years ago. To get to the play area, you're led through dimly-lit corridors, and half filled table areas. When you get to the games, there are a bunch that don't work and you find more not working only after you redeem credits to play. And then you have to wrestle with yourself to say, "Should I find someone and tell them about it or maybe it's just not worth it." The place is just ripe with the smell of failure and it looks like they're riding things out before either selling or closing up shop. Oh, and the men's bathroom was a steam bath with water surrounding some of the toilets. Well... that was fun!
