Someone gave me a gift card, so when I happened to be in Eudora, I stopped by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wow! This place is bright, clean and staffed by very friendly and attentive people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the pulled pork poutine & iced tea, $16 total cost, and was advised that I'd need a to-go box, readily available on the counter. The food came fast, so fresh and such a good spin on a Canadian classic. The fries are good, the pork is soft & yummy and the deep fried cheese curds are the cherry on top! I'm taking home half the tray (yep- one serving covers an 8x12" tray!), but doubt it will see tomorrow. This place is a gem, and if you haven't stopped by, you should! I'll be back for sure; it's plenty worth the drive from Lawrence.

Great surprise to find this place. it was a gorgeous day and we sat outside with the dog. There is a huge selection of meats here, I stuck with the mac/ cheese and chicken and didn't regret it one bit. The service was quick and the wait staff was super friendly. it was just a perfect dining experience, something I was not expecting. but we will definitely be back.

Couldn't put the rib down to take the picture. So tender and flavorable.

Excellent BBQ!!!! If I lived in this area I'd be a regular customer. We were going to Lawerence KS for a football game and we always like to try out of the way places that aren't chain resturants. This place fit the bill and did not disappoint. Friendly staff!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great environment[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and Awesome Food.

This family-owned BBQ restaurant served up great food with friendly service at a good price during my dine-in lunch visit. The pulled pork sandwich with choice of side ($7.50) was served nine minutes after I ordered at the counter. It stood three inches tall, with a fresh, buttered, and nicely toasted bun, and plenty of flavorful, somewhat moist, somewhat crunchy pulled pork. I savored every bite of the baked beans, which included three types of beans and generous amounts of meat. Mmm! Four sauces were available - sweet, regular, steady sweet with a slow heat, and hot habanero. The regular sauce tasted great with the pulled pork. The dining area was nice and clean, with blues background music. I also noticed a spacious, grassy patio area. Desserts, beer, liquor, and a happy hour (3:00 PM - 6:30 PM Tu - Fr) were available. A traditional, complimentary pickle spear, and a Carolina style pulled pork sandwich menu item would have been nice additions. Overall, I'm thinking 4.5 stars and rounding up for the very helpful, friendly service and the reasonable price. Excellent!i

Stopped over here on our way to Kansas City. We came from California and wow Kansas barbeque is 5000000x better than even our best ones in San Diego and so cheap in comparison to California prices. Tried the brisket, ribs, jalapeno cornbread, and rack and cheese. The rack and cheese is by far my favorite. I hope we can go back to try some more.

Delicious food, great atmosphere too. Came here out of town and I wish I could take this bit of heaven back with me to Colorado Springs.

Tried out Barbwire BBQ today. A couple items were unavailable due to distribution availability by the sounds of it. We ordered the fried cheese curds, fried green beans, cubed brisket, pulled pork, coleslaw, cream cheese corn, Mac and cheese (plain), and cheesy potatoes. I was a little disappointed our shareables arrived at the same time as our meals. The cheese curds were less than hoped for; a lot of them didn't have cheese in the shell and we're a little chewy IMO. The green beans were delicious! The right amount of breading and the green beans were fresh. The pulled pork was dry. The brisket was good though. The Mac and cheese was good, but could have used a touch more seasoning. The slaw was good and had a vinegary kick to it, which I enjoyed. The cream cheese corn and cheesy potatoes were both good. The interior decor is no fuss cute and was clean. There is also local artwork displayed. There is a nice patio area and would be great for a fall day! It looks like there is a stage, so there might be live music. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would go back. I would love to try the chick-aronnes and burnt ends.

1/2 Burnt Ends BBQ - Kansas…read more When you're in Kansas/ Kansas City area, BBQ is non-negotiable. Since we were staying near our Airbnb, we searched for a local place and landed on Burnt Ends BBQ, a restaurant that's well known for its barbecue sauces. We walked in with no expectations and were quickly seated. Our server, Lily, greeted us right away, took our drink order, and brought out complimentary cornbread bites. Those little bites were a fantastic start to the meal. If I lived nearby, I'd probably order those every visit. I had already decided what I wanted, but my wife was doing her usual "let me study every item on the menu" routine. Lily recommended the All the Ends Platter, so I changed my order and we decided to share it. The platter included beef, pork, and corned beef burnt ends. I chose the creamy coleslaw while my wife selected the baked potato salad. Presentation was excellent. Everything looked like it was going to be outstanding. Unfortunately, the flavor didn't quite match the appearance. The corned beef burnt ends were decent, the pork was just okay, but the beef was easily the best of the three. Since Burnt Ends is known for its sauces, I sampled all four. None of them were what I'd call unforgettable, but my favorites were the Thick & Bold followed by the Honey Glaze. The sides were a mixed bag. The baked potato salad was served warm, which makes sense considering it's modeled after a baked potato, but both my wife and I prefer potato salad cold. It just wasn't for us. The creamy coleslaw also seemed to be missing something. It wasn't bad--it simply lacked the flavor I was hoping for. Since neither of us cared much for the sides, my wife ordered a basket of fries. Crispy, hot, and perfectly cooked. Sometimes the simplest things are the best. After finishing the burnt ends, we decided to order a half rack of ribs. I'm glad we did. They turned out to be one of the highlights of the meal--tender, flavorful, and worth the extra five dollars. The biggest disappointment had nothing to do with the food. The dining room was uncomfortably warm. It wasn't very busy, yet it felt like the air conditioning either wasn't working or simply couldn't keep up. It definitely affected the overall experience. In the end, the service from Lily was very good, the complimentary cornbread bites were excellent, the fries were spot on, and the ribs were the best thing we ate. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal--it just wasn't the memorable Kansas City BBQ experience I was hoping for. If I were only in town for a few days, I'd probably continue exploring some of the other local BBQ spots before returning. Chef T's Scorecard: * Food: 7/10 * ‍ Service: 9/10 * Sides: 6/10 * Atmosphere: 5/10 (Too warm to be comfortable.) * Value: 7.5/10 Overall: 1/2 (3.5/5)
