Phenomenal! Great trim and wonderful staff I was treated so kindly and felt great. The trim is still holding up well weeks later

It's a real barbershop with a bunch of guys and really know how to cut hair and trim beers. It feels like a little respite from the world and they do such a great job. Highly recommend. read more

Always picky about my haircut and have moved quite a bit over the last few years. I found Eric through some research and his attention to detail is what makes the difference. I can sit down and give a brief description and get what I need out of the cut. It's worth every dollar imo. I only go to 6th, so I can only speak to the feel of that shop, but I enjoy the vibes and kind of classic barbershop feel it has, but no lines or waiting. Recommend this spot! read more

Terrible customer service. What business has a phone number to call yet says in their automated message that they DONT answer the phone during business OR after after business hours. What is the point of having a phone number?! I booked the wrong location(6th street). Sat in there for 10 minutes before they told me I was at the wrong location (they didnt have any clients in there and didnt even offer to cut my hair then and there). So i drove to the correct location (still within my apt time frame) and tried calling them to tell them the mistake. The Platte location was packed and they told me they couldnt fit me in and that I would still be charged $60. Absolutely terrible business operations at BOTH locations. read more

Eric is the only person I allow to cut my hair. I have a complicated head of cowlicks. Few barbers and stylists have the interest or know-how to get my hair right. But Eric nails it every time. And he's not done sharpening his skills. I ran into him, and his adorable wife, one weekend in a coffee shop. He was using his day off to hone his talents in a class. He's an awesome guy, too. read more

Over priced and under served. No hot towel no wash not worth 60$. What can you say. go elsewhere read more

I've been a client of Eric Fuller's for a few years now, and I have yet to find a more talented and passionate barber! Eric pays attention to detail, and is driven to create the vision you see for your hair and style. When tenured barbers, Eric and John partnered up to open Barber Theory, I knew it was going to be nothing short of spectacular. The space is inviting, simple, and modern, allowing for the experience to speak for itself. The quest that Eric and John have set out on is to bridge the gap between the barbershop and the hair salon, which speaks for itself in the welcoming of all genders, and the variety of hair types and styles they work with. So, why treat a haircut like an errand you can cross off your list, when you can kick back with your friends at Barber Theory? read more

Barber Theory - Simple design creates for a laid back experience - Barbers Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Ray was a barber down in Houston that I was lucky to find and have available at the local barber shop. When he told me he was moving to Colorado it was a big hit. Finally was able to get up here to see him and worth the flight. Denver yall are blessed with a artist of the hair. As for the new shop, super modern in a greet area Will be back soon read more

Interesting spot. Honesty came off a bit pretentious. They seem to only work by appointment when 1 guy is there, so it's walk-in; but at their discretion / scheduling? I walked in and the guy was almost done cutting someone's hair, nobody else in the entire shop and he was like 'yeah you can make an appointment'. Meh - I'll just take my business elsewhere. read more

Visited this shop today for the first time. Christian was my barber and he did a phenomenal job. A true master barber; I'll definitely be going back. read more

Awesome skin fade, very friendly, great service all round. I'll be back! Clean and covid safety conscious shop.

Absolute terrible customer service. No phone to call on and get in touch, was running 8 minutes behind and got charged a $40 fee. Way over priced and could care less about a long term relationship. Would not recommend! read more

First off, disregard the one star rating on here. Not sure what that guys deal is. If you're like me, you've just relocated and need a doctor, a mechanic, and a barber - I've sweated the barber choice the most. The first place I saw was Barber Theory on oh-so-trendy Platte street - bordered by Poke and Vegan eateries, my instincts told me to move on despite the excellent design aesthetics I could see through the window. I decided to check yelp which led me to finding Eric Fuller's Instagram account @bearic_the_barber and immediately could see the talent from his portfolio. I walked in - two barbers were mid-cut and one politely handed me a card and told me I could make an appointment online at barbertheory.com The booking platform is really straight forward and I actually appreciated seeing all of the available options (I'm used to standing on the other side of a counter while some young girl clicks around shouting out potential times that I already know won't work for my schedule - I think I prefer this DIY method) Anyways, I booked with Eric (his first availability was just 5 days later which is excellent for an owner - I suspect this will change) and he just ten minutes ago finished my cut. I only jump right on yelp when I'm highly satisfied or highly pissed off... Ok, down to the important stuff: Eric keeps the place spotless (check) and he was ready for me at the exact time of my appointment (check) - aside from the cut these are usually my two biggest complaints with a Salon / barber shop. Next, Eric is just plainly a nice and considerate guy with a high level of attention to detail - we talked about what I was looking for - he doesn't have an ounce of that "I'm an artist not a barber" attitude that I've encountered before. He listened to my needs, checked out my hair / beard situation, made some recommendations, we agreed on a plan. The only thing better than our conversation was the cut itself. I'm 32 and can say hands down this is one of the best cuts I've ever had - my neck taper is THE best - I'm puzzled as to why no one had ever approached it the way he did...maybe he is more of an artist. Anyways, I just booked my next appointment. In summation, book today, easily 5 stars. read more

Fairly new joint yet ran by very experienced barbers. Eric Fuller is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the work he does. Highly recommended spot. read more

Pretty pricy for an average often choppy haircut. They don't do basic barber things like use the hot rag in your neck and shave it. It's disappointing read more

Meghan is the dopest barber of all time. Love coming into the shop. Super clean, nice atmosphere. Great staff! All around, would recommend to anyone! read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and received an uneven fade in response to it. Normally went to owner John who was out of town. Scheduled with new barber for a Sunday appointment. Upon arrival at Barber Theory on Platte was notified that stylist Ray was out of town and didn't find it important to notify his clients. The staff working including the Owner seemed uninterested in my time being wasted or the fact that I had to leave to go out of town the next day. Had to rush into another appointment the following day before my flight and received an uneven fade by Barber Justin. I had been going there for years and I thought my continued business meant more. They seemed to not care about me or my time. AVOID read more

Great shop, great barbers and a chill nice atmosphere. These peeps are fun to talk to (or just listen to) Cole is my go to barber and he always kills it. He's been shaping my beard and cutting my hair for 2 years now and I wouldn't trust anyone else :). read more

I've been going for over a year and this is the best place in town. David F. is the best barber I've ever had! Never going anywhere else. 10/10 read more

This place is great. Super clean, good music, great barbers. I have been going to Derek Zook for about 5 years now and he is truly one of the beat barbers in the City and one of the best I've ever been to. Never had a bad experience. HIGHLY recommend. read more

The Conversation with the barber was the only thing good about my experience here. They started my hair cut 15 minutes late. This would have been fine if they didn't completely mess up my hair. They did not give me at all what I asked for. This was my first and last visit. I would never recommend anyone to ever go there absolutely terrible. read more

I always enjoy coming to see Eric for a haircut. Both Barber Theory locations have a great vibe and décor, and it's pretty easy to get a park within a short stroll. Eric and I have a great chat about what's been happening in our respective lives and I leave with a haircut I am stoked about. All the other barbers I have met seem like great people too. read more

A few days ago I booked an on-line appointment with Cory Spencer for today (8/29/2022 at 10 a.m.) I'm a new customer and had difficulty finding the shop since it was small and hidden by trees on the front sidewalk. I arrived at 10:10 and there was no one in the salon and the door was locked. No signage to indicate if it were open or closed. I knocked and no one arrived. I went next door to another business to ask if the Barber Theory had gone out of business. One of the employees came out and confirmed there was no one in the shop, no sign on the door to indicate open/closed. This took another 5-10 min. Another client arrived who had a 10:30 a.m. appointment and her styalist was not there either. She was able to call him to discover he didn't work on Mondays, but the on-line booking had him available. He apologized and offered her a discount on a rescheduled appointment. Then, the two of us realized there was someone sitting inside in one of the chairs. We summoned him to open the door. Cory Spencer seemed very reluctant to assist us. Finally he opened the door and asked how he could help. I indicated I had a 10 a.m. appointment, but no one was there. He said "your'e late and I can't fit you in. He was rude, arrogent and disrepectful to a 77 year old first time customer. I said not only do I not want to reschedule, I do not want to be charged for this appointment. His respone was, "Well, you were late." DO NOT ATTEND THIS POORLY RUN ESTABLISHEMENT having total disregard for its customers! read more

Awesome dudes, amazing haircuts, and rad place. Highly recommend. I know all the barbers are great but I've been seeing Eric for a few years now and he's a majestic man. Can't speak highly enough of him, as a person and as a barber. Go check this place out!! read more

Hard to write this review. It has taken me several weeks to decide what kind of review to write or even if I should write one. It pains me to give less than 5 stars 'cuz I don't want to discourage potential new clients from giving them a shot. Although my recent trip was more of a 2-3 star experience. I have been having my beard trimmed by Eric Fuller for several years. I have followed him as he moved to 5 different shops. When I found Eric I was looking for a barber specifically for beard expertise. To my great pleasure, Eric was an amazing find. He told me that posture in the barber chair was very important, even made sure my feet were flat on the platform. He proceeded to comb, and trim (with scissors), and finished with beard oil or butter after each visit and turned my beard into a masterpiece. So many compliments from friends, family and strangers, I was never going anywhere else. Well, things change. The last couple year(s) his attention to detail for me at least, went from wonderful service, with a carefully manicured scissor trim, to a quick buzz with an electric trimmer, no more finish with beard oil, an increase in the price, and out the door. I can afford the increase in cost, but did not expect the decrease in service. My last (?) visit felt like I was an imposition rather than a loyal longtime customer. Seemingly since he opened his own shop (and now 2nd shop), I think he is forgetting what made him successful. Eric is an amazing barber and a great guy that I used to love visiting. Sadly, I feel I need to find a new masterpiece maker... read more

Turned me from homeless to your highness ........ Best barber shop in Denver. Best barber shop in Colorado.

Won't go anywhere else. John and the guys will take great care of you. I've followed John from shop to shop and only trust him with a cut.
