My friend finds the fact that they specialise in properly measuring children's feet reassuring and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The little man getting new shoes is a typical four year old, he wasn't that impressed at having to pick up new school shoes. However, the member of staff that served us seemed well trained with children and dealt with any issues calmly, with a sense of humour, and got the job done. They stock some great brands (Start-rite, Hush Puppies, Lelli Kelly, Geox, Skechers, Ricosta, Rainbow, Kidorable) and offer high-end children's shoes for school or best occasions. I was a bit stunned by the price but this is Knowle and these shoes seem the best that money can buy.

For the services they offer, the prices are reasonable and all the treatments are from local professionals who are fully qualified. The staff are very friendly and helpful and full of tips and advice. Here's a useful one; before you go to bed rub moisturiser into your feet then wear a sock. The sock locks in the moisture so you're feet are soft when you wake up. As well as this the shop had some lovely pairs comfortable of shoes for most occasions (casual, exercise and smart casual.) The selection wasn't big but I guess most of the business is in their treatments. The prices were approximately thirty five pounds per pair and they also have shoe care products for sale.

If you are looking for formal and smart shoes then it's worth paying a visit to Gordon Scott. They…read moreregularly have sales on and the quality of the shoes make it worth the decent price that you pay. The shoe shop has been around for as long as I can remember and their styles have changed but now they currently just sell smart and formal shoes. I think the style of the shop matches what they specialise in but also makes me feel a bit sad every time I visit because it is very dull and boring. It feels as if the shop needs some stylish decor to compliment the shoes and generally make the shop look less bland. On the other hand there aren't many other shops in Solihull that specialise in formal and smart shoes. So maybe they're doing something right? Due to its good location, this is where I come if I need my shoes to help make a good impression. Plus I love the little monkey they have in the window. Overall I think you would have to like Gordon Scott's shoe styles in order to like anything else here.

Several popular big-name brands like Timberland, Converse and Hush Puppies are always available and Gordon Scott also stocks plush designer brands Ted Baker. Expectedly, everything in here is quite pricey, but the classy, elegant atmosphere inside is heart-warming to say the least and the laid-back staff never seem to jump on, or stare at browsers, so even if you're just window shopping, you're sure for a pleasant experience. If designer labels are your thing and your pockets are deep, you'll be in your element here.

I've got collapsed arches on my feet, so I can sympathise with people suffering from footpain, and I personally think it's great to see a retailer supplying these people with what they need, rather than having to go to the doctor. The prices are very reasonable, despite the fact that they could definitely warrant ramping the prices up a bit. In addition to the shoe shop, Rieker has a chiropody clinic, offering a range of treatments, again for reasonable prices. Admittedly, the range of shoes on offer aren't exactly cutting edge in terms of style, but there's plenty of smart shoes, and the pair I've got live up to their claims of excellent comfort.

The fact that Reiker had a sale on is what attracted me here and it was nice to see their original prices were decent but the discounted prices were even better! I found a nice pair of shoes to wear on a night out for just £25.00. I also came in here in search of a new casual handbag and unfortunately they didn't have anything to my liking. On the other hand their small selections of bags are more for smarter use.

I won't shop with them again…read more I'd briefly scooted around the Edinburgh branch and thought the shoes seemed both pleasant and comfortable so headed out to Solihull to try some on at my leisure. Average age in the store is approximately 75. They seem to be trying to target the younger age group but aren't doing very well. I felt positively paediatric. I was waiting ages and ages to be served and when they eventually stopped ignoring me, they didn't have my size. Great! I tried on the too-small ones so that I kind of knew which size to order online. At the time of ordering there was a 3 for 2 so I chose a pair of shoes for a wedding, a pair of boots and a pair of work shoes as well as a pair of purple sale shoes. Delivery is £3.95, regardless of size of order. Returns are £2.99, exchanges free. They emailed me a while later saying their website stock was wrong and the work shoes would be delayed by a couple of weeks. When part 1 of the delivery arrived, it did *not* contain my purple shoes but instead some hideous green Granny type horrors. That was an annoying trip to the post office that I could have done without. The shoes they erroneously told me were in stock were delayed again and eventually showed up maybe a month after my order. Meanwhile, they'd tried to tell me that I made the mistake. I didn't. I didn't like them so decided to return them. My refund was...zero. Apparently they decided that it was my "free" pair and therefore I get nothing. I'm sure that could be argued, but most decent companies will refund the average price paid. In fact, I even have a Primark (Primark of all places!) receipt in front of me saying they do exactly that. Customer services were unhelpful and just don't care. There is no such thing as goodwill or customer retention in their operations. They just can't be bothered. Take your money (for the overpriced shoes) and run. It's Hush Puppies and Clarks for me from now on. Cheaper, equivalent quality and far superior service.

She told me to bring back as many as I needed and so I took 6 pairs back (thank goodness for my card account other wise the purchases would have broken the bank)! The shop happily accepted the 6 returns and were pleased I had found what I wanted. When I returned the shoes there was an offer - 2 pairs of sandals for £95. I bought 2 pairs, each separately would cost £75. What a bargain, and they're soooo comfortable. Oh, and I am definitely NOT over-the-hill - the shoes are modern wedge sandals in attractive colours and material!

The clothes are all designed by two Italians and I'm guessing their names are Madeline and Ann. They specialise in designer wear for young ladies and middle aged women. Even though they had a sale on the items were still far too expensive and I could probably find something similar elsewhere for a much lower price. I don't know about you but when I walk into a designer store there is often an uncomfortable atmosphere because of my very casual appearance. Here I can't fault their customer service though as the lady was very friendly and polite, not patronising! She even went as far as helping me choose an outfit with her expert fashion knowledge. It was almost like she was a personal guide. If I wasn't just window shopping there would be a nice new dress in my wardrobe right now. Like all designer stores the interior was contemporary and suited their smart casual clothing range. The shop was so well kept that it felt rude not to put a piece of clothing back in its right place. In summary Madeline Ann is a great designer store for discerning young and middle aged women.
