I've been going here for year ever since my wife recommended them. Everyone is super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. As a side note, anytime she asks about my family I feel like she really wants to know and it's not just some pleasantry. read more

This is the best dentist I've ever been to. Dr. Young truly cares about her patients. She's thorough, she teaches you how to brush with the electric toothbrush to avoid cavities and provides preventative methods. The medical assistant and the woman who cleaned my teeth were also amazing. I've never been to a business with this much positive energy. From the front desk staff to the assistants to the dentist, 10's across the board. I'm going to refer her to all of my friends. Thank you!!!! read more

Dr Young and all the staff that work here are fantastic! I can confidently say this is the best dentist practice I have been to. Everyone on the team is very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Young not only cares about the patient's health but she genuinely encourages people to have the best teeth they can. She will sit down with you to go over x-rays, molds, pictures, or even hand you a mirror so that you can see and understand the health of your teeth. She will coach you through any procedures they will be doing, even simple cleanings or fillings. With Dr. Young I have learned more about my dental health in the past year, than I have in the previous decade. Unlike some other dental offices I have been to, here I have never felt rushed nor feel like they are trying to sell me something I do not need. I can see that everyone that works here takes pride in what they do. read more

I have been going to Dr Young for 25 years. Her staff are all unfailingly friendly and professional and very knowledgeable. I have gotten great natural dental care tips from them that I use all the time. Dr Young herself is an artist and master of her science/craft. I had fractured teeth when I first went to see her, so many of my teeth needed crowns or new fillings. Dr Young always does such a precise job, the new fillings and crowns fit beautifully and my bite is perfect. I feel so grateful to Dr Young and her staff. read more

I have been going to Dr. Young for over 7 years now. From my initial appointment to now, I have gotten a wide range of procedures to fix my dental issues. Her team helped me schedule out and prioritize my treatment plan that fits my budget. I trust Dr. Young's expertise fully and all of her work has been outstanding with no further issues. She takes the time to answer any questions and is a perfectionist when it comes to my teeth. I had care there once after my dentist no longer takes my insurance. The staff and covering doctor (never met Dr. Young) are friendly and educational. But it took over 2 hours for an initial cleaning visit. This does not include a prefilled intake form that I did from home with pages of legal jargon that made me a little uneasy. What turned me off more after all this is that they did everything they could to bill my insurance for the maximal service. They charged me for actual photos, on top of X-rays of my teeth. Photos that were not needed and not covered by insurance as I later learned from my brother in law who is a dentist in another state. Additionally they recommended special mouth wash that they of course sold at the office for a premium. I was also told to come back in 4 months for additional out of pocket cleaning. It is possible that I may need more cleaning, but all the other bills?! I decided never to go back and stick with my former dentist. I rather pay out of pocket for the honest and exceptional service of my prior dentist in PB than be treated like a walking pocketbook. read more

I have been going to Dr Young for probably 20 years. I always feel like I'm in good hands with her or her staff. She's an amazing, caring, and gentle dentist. I feel like she provides great service and doesn't try to sell me on unnecessary work. Just to make money. She treats patients with respect and dignity. read more

UPDATE: My original review was out of line, due to my misunderstanding, I do love this clinic but was shocked to see a random bill a year later.... Spoke to Ellen on the phone, she was kind enough to reassure me that the misunderstanding is an insurance issue. I was told that I was eligible the date of my exam, but the insurance didn't pay, so shes looking into it. I'm hopeful for a miracle. _____________________ I'm bummed because I thought I could trust them. I even switched my dental insurance with the new company im working with to PPO, just so I can continue to go back to them. But then they send me this bill a year later asking for $90+ via email for the first time. I've received ZERO voicemails, ZERO emails regarding the original bill for $1.44. I'm having trouble understanding whyyyyyyyyyyy!!? NOTE: I haven't even seen them since early 2020, so why I getting charged over a year later? read more

Maybe i hit Dr Young on bad day...but really no excuse for insulting behavior. When i thanked her for taking me on as new patient her response was "I haven't decided that yet!!?? What?? Like it is a job interview?! Then proceeded to instruct/bully me for 15 minutes refusing to answer questions or have conversation. Please! People are more than just a mouthful of teeth. Go somewhere else for dental services! read more

Been going to Dr Young for years. She and her staff are super friendly and professional. I have excellent teeth thanks to the care I get.

Barbara was great, but the receptionist was rude. I walked into the clinic and the receptionist kicked me out because I did not have a mask. This was okay until I saw another patient walked in and she offered to give him the mask. I was not sure why she offered a mask to him but not me. Also, after the visit I wanted to ask her some questions before I leave. I was on anesthesia but I still could speak okay (my boyfriend was able to understand me clearly when I was still on anesthesia). So I tried to ask the receptionist some questions but she gave an attitude. She didn't even try to listen to my words. She sent me away quickly like she did not want me to stay in the clinic. Terrible person, was not expecting this kind of service at all. read more

I've been a long-time patient of Dr. Barbara Young. She's consistently provided excellent dental care to me over the years. She's very gentle, calm, and always makes me feel comfortable, even if she has to do some work on my teeth! During the recent pandemic, when most businesses were closed, I had an unexpected dental emergency when my crown fell off on a Sunday morning. I called Dr. Young, and she immediately opened up her office and had me come in right away for treatment. She truly went above and beyond in responding to my dental emergency, especially during a Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Young and her medical office staff are wonderful! read more

I would very strongly recommend anyone to avoid this place. In fact if I had time, and there was any kind of ethical comittee or chamber of commerce, I would file a complaint. They don't see healthy teeth, receding gum or cavities in your mouth but they see dollar signs. It's as if your mechanic tells you that everything is wrong with your car - when it's not - and replaces everything and hits you with enormous bills. I had a way longer than I should have, scary and very educational experience with them: I will never go to a dentist without strong references. read more

Dr. Young is always nice and friendly, but she also knows what she's doing and expects the best of her staff. I can appreciate that. They helped me with my teeth grinding, giving me a night guard that has really improved my gums and prevented additional cracks in my teeth. I have been Dr Young's patient for 3 years when I was living in San Diego. She has done multiple crowns for me over that period. After moving out from San Diego I lived in both Seattle and Orange County and had to have a new dentist. Both of my new dentists complimented her work. My Irvin dentist even told me that if I were you I would drive back to San Diego and continue seeing her. (I would love to do that but there is simply no time in my life for the 1 hour 22 minutes drive each way given I am pregnant, working full time, and trying to buy a house.)
