They are very well-prepared and knowledgeable, and they listen well. They meet you where you are and don't high-pressure you to do things you aren't interested in. Their group classes are outstanding. They will get you dancing quickly. The studio is beautiful. It is in an old building with great ambiance. You sometimes feel like you are in a movie scene as you enjoy the old wood floors and the views of downtown Matthews. They have a wide variety of group class levels, so you can dive in and feel comfortable no matter how much experience you have. This has been a great empty-nest hobby for us!

Our young daughter had one class in each building, and had to walk from one building to another - that is, walk through a couple busy streets and a large surface lot - on her own between classes. The business did not tell us that she would have to do this walk between classes, and (more troublingly) did not have her accompanied by a counselor or staff member. For that reason alone, I would never recommend this business. As for the classes, my daughter (who is not yet a particularly advanced dancer) found her ballet class to be very remedial. I would stick with dance at the Y or some place that has a more safe and professional approach.

They treat the classes as if the children are on a competitive team, when my seven year olds just love to dance and want to enjoy the process of learning. But i know its only a matter of time before people find out what an amazing sanctuary there is right off of 74! The energy is amazing from the second you walk through the doors. Located in an unassuming strip of possible warehouses, this a haven awaits. So far I have taken the yin yoga classes which are donation based (YOGA FOR ALL...I LOVE IT!) you will leave that class floating and in a daze. It's so relaxing. The studio is equipped with all the yoga props you would need and the space is roomy. Ive also taken the aerial silk meditation class....OMG. i fell in love. best 30 minutes of my 2018 thus far....Sure its only January, but I intend to repeat! This clas was an insane 5 bucks!!! Why did I write that?! Like I said, best kept yoga secret! The silk classes do require pre-registration as there are only a limited number of them and im def not sharing my hammock! Sorry homie, you've got to book your own! There are other classes offered such as vinyasa, Zumba and i believe a strength type class and i fully intend to check them out but seriously, the yin and meditation are enough to keep me coming back for more!
