Absolutely love the food and drinks at Baraboo Burger Company! It's easily the most modern and trendy sports bar in the area and has a great atmosphere. We've gone here for just dinner, just for drinks and have even ordered pickup. Awesome signature drinks. The prices for quality specialty burgers and delicious appetizers are very reasonable. Stopped in for a late lunch after hiking at Devil'a Lake. Great craft beer selection! Wished I could have tried more if it wasn't the middle of the afternoon. Food was good, but since I only ordered bar food it was really just bar food. Cheese curds weren't like anything we had at Tumbled Rock which were hand breaded. The salads and hummus were great. Huge nacho portion. Again chicken strips weren't anything special. Soup of the day looked good. read more

Stopped here for lunch on Sunday following church. It was our first time here and had a wonderful experience. Excellent chili and wings for me. Others had the steak sandwich which was very good as well as a chicken salad and buffalo chickens wrap. Good choices on the kid's menu as well. Our service was very good too. Great find when taking a day trip up to Devils Lake. It's small, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's not popular. It was a great meal including the wing happy hour served with a bucket of different sauces. The staff was so welcoming and nice. Great portions, and really reasonable in price. They do it well here. I was pretty impressed with Monk's - it doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior is clean, bright and Badger-themed. We picked this place pretty much at random & had a great lunch here. First - they have a turkey burger. Extra star right there. And it appeared to be housemade and not off a Sysco truck. It was juicy, well seasoned and delicious. Second, all apps are available in 1/2 and full size so you don't HAVE to pig out. We tried a 1/2 order of cheese curds and it was quite a generous portion for $5. Third, their corned beef is legit. Hubs had a Reuben (recommended by our server) and he demolished it in under three minutes. Fourth - beer battered French fries. Finally, our service was fast & everyone here was super friendly. It seems like they have a good core of regulars (always a good sign) as servers were greeting people by name. Bottom line - its not a fancy place but if you're in Baraboo and looking for some quality bar food and maybe want some "healthier" choices Monk's will do you right. read more

Can't say enough about this place. I'd recommend highly! Went for lunch and will gladly come back. First, the place is clean and inviting. Great looking bar and restaurant. Plenty of TVs for sports! Now the food...several good sounding burgers, but we went with this special they were having. It a large burger with Apple chips, Appel butter, and bacon. We also ordered cheese curds, agreeing to split the burger (more on that in a minute). Cheese curds came and they were good. Not the greatest, but good and tasty. Then came the burger. Two baskets...burger cut in half, with fries in both baskets. Now we didn't ask, but our server heard the conversation and took care of it. The wow factor on service was just beginning. The burger was fantastic. If you can go while they still have this special going with a local Apple orchard, do yourself a favor and get this burger! Ahhh, the service. Well, as you can see, already stellar. While ordering, my wife wanted a beer and the server made several recommendations. She even went and got my wife several samples! During the meal, we had 3 different servers wait on us. All very attentive and seemingly knowing what was going on at our table. The service alone was worth 5 stars and I'll point out, it was busy! Great place to watch a game. We went in here last-night with my fiancée and my daughter to watch the patriots game. We only stayed till halftime because she has a bed time. Food was ok. I miss read the list and thought the sliders were bbq not bbc woops. Asked for mayo for the burgers after realizing the sauce is like holiday... came out half filled in a 1o shot cup had to bug her again to get more because it only covered 2 of the 5 mini burgers :( Very sad to see a burger joint not sell milkshakes :( Staff couldn't turn on closed captions on the TVs :( Kids meal was disappointing for 7$ little cup of Mac and cheese with not even a handful of frys cup of milk was a decent size tho so there's that... no orange juice just pineapple cranberry and orange so basically only the mixers for the bar.... Stopped here this week with my son while visiting the Baraboo area. Clean little restaurant and bar in downtown with a very friendly staff. Seating available in the bar area or upstairs. But be warned the upstairs has no windows and does not overlook the restaurant. Felt a little confined to me but probably would be perfect for a large gathering or group. We choose a table in the bar. Large variety of burgers most of which seem to be about 1/4 or 1/3 of a pound which is perfect. Sometimes a half-pound burger is just too much. Good selection of beers and reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to stop and have a quick burger and a beer! read more

A little disappointed. Came for the chippers. The really crispy chippers. Got mainly soggy chippers. No one came back to check for quite awhile, no point complaining then. Chicken tenders were fine, and can't beat cold Spotted Cow, but just not as impressed as I have been in the past. Yes, they were busy. But they should be prepared for that on a summer Friday night in Wisconsin. Might have to go to Monk's in Lake Delton or Wisconsin Dells for my chippers from now on. My Husband and I were celebrating our anniversary by exploring the Baraboo area. The Badgers were playing and we decided we wanted to watch the game for a while. We came in just before halftime to find the lower bar area full but were able to grab a table in the upper area. We had a big screen TV to watch the game and multiple other TVs scattered around the room. We had a couple of appetizers while we watched the game along with a few beers. The Chippers and Dip are home-made potato chips with French Onion dip. Perfect salty companion to some cold beers. Later we had the Fried Pickle Chips with spicy ranch dipping sauce. Nice crispy pickle slices perfectly fried and not at all greasy. What stood out the most was the attentive and friendly wait staff. Each time our beer got low, they were right there to take our order for the next. With each score of the Badgers, they were right there to hand out a jello-shot. They also did drawings for door prizes at the end of the quarters. We didn't win any prizes but we came out on top with our choice of places to watch the Badger game. We will be back. read more

Came here for dinner last night and I can not begin to say how disappointed we were with everything. The service was horrible, the food was just as bad as the service. The waitress was very busy and took a long time to get to us for drinks and orders. We ordered cheese curds which took forever to get but it was the best part of the meal. We also ordered the braided pretzel which was wet on the bottom and tasted reheated. I ordered the Mahi fish tacos and the fish was bad, very stinky and had an overly fishy taste praying I don't get sick! My husband had the badger Bucky burger it was cooked well done when it was ordered medium, it wasn't horrible but not great either. We paid an extra $2 for kettle chips that tasted like they were not made fresh. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! read more
