The shop owners were very friendly and even though antiquing doesn't usually seem toddler-mom-appropriate, everyone was very sweet to our son! We didn't end up buying anything but there were several cute items I wanted. Would love to check it out again. If you're not familiar with the "famous" Round Top Antique Fair you may be under the impression like I was that a ticket is needed for the entire experience. But such is not the case. This is one of the first stops as you enter the teeny tiny town of Round Top and if you want to come into the barn and another building not far away you can buy a ticket either online or at the door. Cash or card accepted. Sadly, the ladies at the door are not the most welcoming or friendly. Despite my lack of welcome I was not going to let the sour pusses ruin my adventure. I had been waiting eight years to get here and I can't believe it took me this long! Oh, and don't forget to wear your best Aspen, Santa Fe style boho cowgirl outfit so you'll fit right in. Go down the street to the newly open Kimo Sabe to get your branded feathered hat. The Barn is only an hour and 40 minutes from The Woodlands the drive was not bad and there's a Bucee's on the way for a rest. I had no idea Round Top was this close! Perfect day tripping! Anyway, after walking in you'll see an array of booths displaying all kinds of antiques and jewelry and lots of furniture. The welcome from these establishments was underwhelming. Lots of grumpy buzzards. And most of the stuff could be found at Goodwill or local antique stores for much less. Warning! Only porta-potty bathrooms here! The sticker shock on the items was ...shocking too. I did buy a little trinket from the one and only sweet vendor with reasonable prices but I have to say, the best thing about the Barn? Was leaving! We drove down the road and found lots of friendly vendors and needed no ticket it was free!! We found more shopping and a great restaurant at the town square too. Bottom line...I'll be back to Round Top just not here and BtW I had a better time at Bucees!

I had this new listing added, and I'll fix the flea part later. My couple of pictures only represent one twentieth of what's here. I could have spent two hours here. This certainly isn't a "flea" market because there is beautiful furniture in here--many in individual consignment booths; others have permanent set ups. They also conduct auctions, one regular one is the first Thursday of every month; and from time to time, they conduct specialty auctions selling jewelry and other collectibles. They have specific estate auctions too. Come check out this nicely adorned, air conditioned marketplace, where you are free to browse without being harassed or watched; however, staff is here to answer your questions.

What a cool 'hidden find' in the Leander area!…read more It's a bit of a misnomer to call this a 'flea market', but that's a minor point to quibble over. Rather, this is a collection of rather eclectic shops selling mostly used or refurbished items. These range from vintage glass and antique furniture all the way to collectible baseball cards. Everyone I spoke to at one of the stores was friendly and sometimes willing to negotiate a price on an item. I look askance at some of the reviews which claim 'I didn't get a deal'. You have access to the internet, after all. Even on your smart phone. You should be able to find out if the vintage item you're looking for hasn't been cheaply reproduced at Hobby Lobby, Cost Plus or Michael's. The facility still seems to be in development, so a couple notes for folks who may visit close to when I did, in September 2017. 1) The parking lot is a very rough gravel one. Drive slowly and walk carefully, there are ankle-turning rocks here if you wear heels. 2) One of the vendors was having serious issues taking credit cards, so having cash on hand might be a good idea. 3) If you check in on Yelp, there's a free drink offer available at the food trailer. However, there's no food trailer yet - just a well-run inside snack bar. They were kind enough to honor the offer for me, but do them a favor and wait until they get a vendor in before trying to use the coupon. In sum, a definite place to visit if the antique hunting bug strikes!

I always get their Menudo and they have free rice and beans on the side that are a nice addition. I will add that I bought a dog from this one lady selling a Yorky, and the Yorkie had Pavo and ended up dying, so I would not recommend buying livestock from this area as discussed by other reviewers. But the food and most of the merchandise are pretty great. Great idea for a weekend out with the whole family.

The bad part is about 30% of the shops were closed inside. And the outside tables were super dusty from all the dirt. That's the main issue- the parking lot, which is a loose dirt field, kicks up soooo much dust from the cars, that it just flies around. There was a coffee food truck on site, which always cheers me up. But it's just too much dirt to walk around in.
