The cocktail prices (~$12) are reasonable for quality drinks and a few dollars cheaper than downtown. The bars, pool, and motel are all retro and make you feel like you're back in the 1970s. I haven't stayed in the motel and cannot rate that, but I have been inside a room, and it had a retro feel and is very clean. It is a motel so the doors face the parking lot, but everything feels very safe and the motel room prices are reasonable too.
