I've bought small pigs from Bar None a few times for pig roasts. It's rustic, but clean. Great place, reasonable prices.

The layout is thoughtfully organized, making it easy to find everything you need without any hassle. One of my favorite things is their selection of local products and specialty foods. From gourmet instant pastas and fresh cinnamon breads to Strauss milk, ice cream, and other delicious treats, there's always something great to discover. I can quickly grab ingredients for a healthy home-cooked meal, which has helped me save money and avoid unnecessary waste from overbuying. They even carry unique items like elk meats and savory jerky for when you're feeling a little adventurous. The meat department is outstanding--the marinated chicken is a must-try, and the beef is always fresh and high quality. And the deli? Hands down one of the best around. Their signature sandwiches are incredible--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. It's the kind of place where you go in for a few items and end up leaving with an amazing sandwich you can't wait to eat. What really sets Spangler's apart is the people. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. Their positive attitude makes every visit a great experience. Spangler's truly rocks. I'll definitely be back again and again!

I didn't take pictures because of how mad I was but instead I will never buy seafood here. If you don't want to get parasites or old fish, crab, and, oysters stay away from this place. I also bought the clam chowder which smelled ok once we got home, but ultimately tasted a bit sour. We live in Pacifica and drove straight home so it's not like it was sitting in the car very long. I'm very confused - Are we supposed to ask to smell and feel the crab before we buy it? If you can't get fresh dungeness crab at a place like this, next to a fishing marina (???), where the hell should I get it? I'm really just shocked that I bought two crabs here and probably could have gotten a better price and fresher crab at Safeway. Shocked and pissed. I feel duped. Ya got me! Never again. :-(

Then we got to see where the cheese is made and even personalize a goat cheese of our own. This was a really unique and interesting experience. Lovely little grocery store in downtown Pescadero…read more My friend recommended we stop here. She mentioned the sandwiches were amazing. I will note that there is no parking lot, and there is basically some street parking. If you a see a spot, take it! We got there around 1:15 on a Saturday afternoon, and there was a huge line at the deli to get sandwiches. I got the chicken club which was chicken, bacon, and veggies on fresh focaccia. Even with a huge line, they move pretty quickly. I also grabbed a gigantic chocolate chip cookie to take home for later, and we got a big loaf of artichoke bread. They have a few tables in front and also an area in the back with a lot of tables. This is a great place to stop for a casual bite.

We were so hungry we scarfed down the sandwich in the nice back garden seating area. The famous artichoke bread did not disappoint with lots yummy artichokes. It's freshly baked, still warm when got it. $10/loaf. You can also buy half baked to bake at home. Arcangeli also sell lots of own bottled pasta sauces and jams too. Street parking only along their little main street. Would recommend getting the artichoke bread to-go and buying or bringing own deli meats to make own sandwich next time.
