To my surprise, Tiki Taki is a fantastic bar with delicious drinks, a great bartender (Daniel), lots of ephemera, an entertaining mix of customers and a quirky origin story. I went on a Sunday night and there were about ten other customers. Their bar back was new, and wasn't able to answer my questions, but the bartender Daniel quickly came around and helped me customize a Zombie. It was well balanced with fresh ingredients and decent rums. I also had a Suffering Bastard which was more gingery than I'm used to, but it was quite tasty. It was like a Dark & Stormy with more character. Lastly, Daniel graciously let me order off menu and made a Navy Grog. He hadn't made one before, but it came out okay and I appreciated him making the effort. The owner Jason and his girlfriend were there when I visited. Jason was friendly and hospitable, sharing the story of how he created his first home tiki bar and eventually opening his shop in Prague. They don't have their own mugs, but serve some drinks out of other bars' mugs which is fun. It'd be great if they eventually make their own though. I really wanted a memento of the visit. The bar itself is well and thoroughly decorated with mostly typical Tiki decorations. lots of bamboo, paintings, tikis, tapestries and the like. One stand out is the Pac Man machine embedded in a barrel in the corner of the bar. It'd dark and has the vibe of a dive-y but thoughtful tiki bar -- my favorite kind. If you like bars like Tiki Ti or Forbidden Island, you'll feel at home in Tiki Taki. Lastly, the other patrons were a mix of quiet tourists and local Czechs who had no idea what a tiki bar was and were just ordering beers. No one was rowdy or rude, and I found it fun to watch them try to figure the place out over a pint of Pilsner Urquell. The menu even has a 128 word paragraph about Tiki Bar etiquette in both English and Czech. So I imagine the mellow atmosphere I experienced isn't always what you get there. But it think this makes it unique and fun. I had a great time visiting here and will definitely make a trip back if I'm ever in Prague again. Mahalo Daniel and Jason!

Not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation but loud enough that it set a good mood. There are a number of different spaces here and it did get quite busy. They serve different snacks and food, but my friend and I opted to stick with drinks. They have pretty extensive descriptions for all the cocktails, even labeling if they are strong or medium strong. The drinks that I had were both considered "medium-strong" but they tasted more fruity and syrup-y than natural and alcoholic. I liked the creativity of the drinks though and the presentation was beautiful. This is definitely a chill spot to grab a few drinks - has a very comfortable vibe. Would recommend!

Brand new and recently opened in this location as they were expanding. Very modern and stylish. Definitely the right image one thinks of with the name Gin & Tonic Club. Secondly - The service was EXCEPTIONAL. The bartender Matoush served us on a couple of nights. He was full of great local knowledge on the city - such as great places to go, awesome knowledge on different gins and their flavor profiles, and general fun conversation. Sign of a great bartender!! Lastly - the drinks were SUPERB. The best Gin and Tonics my boyfriend and I have had. We asked Matoush for his own custom drink and he came up with some amazing ones. Love that Monkey 47 gin!! So with drunk memory, I made my way back. I wandered the city alone at night for about 2 hours trying to find it. But well worth it. I actually got like 90% of my sight seeing in. Tretters is located just outside of the tourist trap area. And being near the touristy areas, don't that fool you. This is a local bar. When I was there a lot of the patrons were local servers that had just gotten off their shifts. Again, don't let the fact that local servers go here let you think different about the quality. This is a true mixology establishment. The bartenders take their craft very seriously. Fresh juices, home made mixers, fancy garnish and flare. Oh my! Every drink was made just for you. To come in and order a just a shot or beer would be a disservice to yourself. Not that beer is bad. I'm a vodka on the rocks kind of guy. But it was really nice seeing and taking the whole process in. I highly recommend just telling one of the bartenders some flavors you like and let them make you something. My body may be back in the states, but my heart stayed in Tretters. Until next time
