I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to for my favorite bartender Chelsea Every time I come in, they make the atmosphere feel welcoming, fun, and comfortable. Not only are the drinks always amazing, but the energy and kindness they bring genuinely make the whole experience better. You can tell they really care about the people they serve and go out of their way to make everyone feel included and taken care of. It's rare to find someone who's both incredibly good at their job and such a genuinely great person. Definitely one of the main reasons this is my favorite bar. If you stop by, make sure you sit at their bar -- you won't regret it. read more

MICE One star. We saw mice during our visit, multiple, running under the tables and around the base of the bar. Not one quick glimpse, it happened repeatedly while we were sitting there. What made it worse was the response. We told a staff member and got a shrug and a "yeah, we know about it." No apology, no manager, no attempt to move us. We stopped in here to grab something to eat before the Chris Brown / Usher concert surprisingly we were seated right away even though this place was packed but it's in Gillette Stadium. The waitress was nice and actually served us drinks and out appetizers in a short time which was surprising but appreciated. The drinks were good as were the appetizers. I'm not sure how this is still open. Everytime i check the roof bar is closed. Then there's dirty unbiased tables everywhere. We actually walked in , the sign said seat yourself, all the tables were dirty and so was the bathroom so we just walked out. read more

Popped in for lunch. Wide open seating. It's kind of what I expected. A place built for scale and massive bar lined with taps fit for game day. This was a random Monday. Had a great experience here last Thursday! I came in with a big group as we were surprising my mom for her 60th. It was a spontaneous trip so I didn't have a chance to call ahead. I had mentally prepared myself for the staff to be annoyed (which would have been totally understandable) but instead we were met by our waitress, Jen, and her kindness, professionalism, and genuine excitement for my mom. Can't really tell you much about the food or service, as we weren't actually able to eat there. We had gameday reservations, that they actually texted to confirm, not once, but twice. Upon arriving, we were informed it was first come, first served. Why in the world would you not just have a no reservation policy on gameday? Why take reservations on gameday at all? The security man at the door noticed our frustration upon leaving when we were unable to find 2 seats anywhere in the building more than two hours before the game, and agreed that it's ridiculous that they take reservations. Other restaurants clearly state no reservations on gameday, which is why we chose this one. Do yourself a favor and go to Mass Appeal, sit outside and people watch. If I could give zero stars, I would just as a matter of principle. read more

Terrible and Unacceptable Experience I had a horrible experience at Bar Louie. My guest and I came in looking for something quick and easy. We ordered a lemonade, a beer, and two burgers with fries. Our drinks were brought out, but while we were waiting for the food, we noticed two mice running around near our table. It was extremely disturbing and instantly made us uncomfortable and disgusted. We had been seated for less than 15 minutes and had only taken a few sips of our drinks. We decided to leave immediately. As we walked toward the exit, we informed a staff member that we were leaving because there were mice running around our table. Instead of apologizing or showing any concern, her first response was, "So you're just going to leave without paying your bill or tipping your waitress?" Her tone was rude and dismissive, and she followed it with an "ok bye." As we were exiting, the waitress then approached us and asked if we could pay for the drinks we didn't even finish. I explained the situation again, and once more, there was no apology or acknowledgment of how unacceptable the situation was. I paid and left simply to avoid further confrontation. I am posting a video with this review so others can see exactly what we experienced. The presence of mice in a dining area is completely unacceptable, but what made this experience even worse was the lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic customer service from the staff. read more

Food was decent service was terrible. Don't expect to get anything for a very long time. Wait staff can't figure anything out, screwed up our order and another person we were with and was not apologetic in the least for the screw up. Nati also messed up our bills. After speaking with the manager he sided with the waitress and defending her screwing up. He kindly escorted us out for no reason. I've never been treated so poorly. You should be making it right, not ushering people out of your crappy establishment. We've noticed that Bar Louie's are closing down all over the country and I can see why. read more

MICE! My daughter and I had the most disgusting experience there tonight. I'll start by saying our server was very sweet. I brought my daughter for dinner, we had an appetizer and burgers. Shortly after our burgers were delivered in a span of about 10 minutes I saw 3 separate mice running around inside the restaurant. Of course we were done eating & immediately felt sick. I told our waitress & she said it was because the doors were open all day. She then sent the manager over who said "I'm sorry you saw that while eating, we're trying to resolve the issue. We have professionals coming in here twice a week to try to get rid of them..." after hearing what he had to say I thought I was physically going to be sick. Why are they still open after clearing having an issue with mice. The manager covered half our bill, which honestly he should have covered the entire thing - he first tried to only comp my burger then the waitress said she'd comp half the bill. I can't believe Bar Louie at Patriot Place is still open. This is a major health issue and they should have to close down until the place is clean. During the evening of September 17, after enjoying Cruise Night at Patriot Place, we went to the local Bar Louie for supper. Around 6:10 PM, the waitress took our order, but she seemed to be struggling with a hand-held device, and kept asking questions. After 6:30 PM, we were wondering about the status of our meal since we had not seen our waitress since she took our order (and my wife needed sugar for her ice tea). Eventually I found our waitress and asked if she could check on our food and to please bring sugar to the table. We never heard from our waitress again. Eventually, I got sugar from an employee behind the bar. Around 6:40 PM, I approached 3 waitresses at the bar and asked if one of them could please check on our food, and to please let us know what was going on. We never heard from any of these waitresses again. At 6:50 PM we left. After 40 minutes, we never got our food, and no explanation was ever given. We were not happy about waiting so long, but we were especially upset about the complete lack of a communication and follow through (the restaurant was not busy!). We've eaten at this location many times, but we don't see ourselves ever going back. read more

Went to the rest room, which was surprisingly dirty, got back to the table and server still hadn't been to the table and no acknowledgement that we were there. Eventually server did come to the table and the experience began to improve. My wife and I both had the grilled cheese and tomato soup dip which is new to the menu. It was very good. And the chips and salsa were borderline insulting--stale, bland, and clearly left over from a better day (or week). As if that weren't enough, they managed to screw up a simple margarita. Twice. If you can't get that right at a bar-themed restaurant, you've lost the plot. The drinks were poorly mixed and watered down, offering nothing in terms of flavor or balance. To add insult to injury, the prices are laughably high for the garbage that's being served. You're paying full-service prices for fast-food quality at best. Bar Louie isn't just bad--it's the kind of bad that makes you question who thought this concept was good enough to replicate across the country. Avoid this place at all costs. There are far better food and drink options literally steps away. Bar Louie at Patriots Place is a complete and utter waste of time and money. read more
