Whether or not it's a good story is immaterial - with a great bartender you'll never know the difference. So, we decompressed for a while over pints of local beer and some fantastic venison sausage and pie, and, a couple hours later, crunched our way through the snow to our hibernating, rear-wheel-drive symbol of jingoism and imperial hubris. A week later we were back in L.A., where the only snow was relegated to the peaks on the horizon and the sand on the beach would burn your feet.
