My parents pretty much live under a rock so they asked some strange and confusing questions. The food arrived and was certainly visually pleasing. Unfortunately, it became apparent very quickly that BF and I had both been given regular croques. GF is very anti-confrontation and elected to just pull the ham off of hers which also takes off most of the cheese, leaving her with just bread. I felt inclined to receive and pay for what I actually ordered so I brought the mistake to the attention of the waiter. The waiter proceeded to argue with me about what I ordered. Sir, I am a vegetarian and would never order a regular croque monsieur. Everyone at the table agreed that I distinctly said "VEGGIE" croque monsieur. He ultimately brought me back the correct one as we all speculated that it was probably acquainted with the floor or pubic hairs.
