Finally, delicious Mexican food in KW! My wife had the chimichanga and she described it as the…read moremost delicious chimichanga she ever had. The shell was nice and crisp and the filling was delicious. I ordered the double meat enchiladas. They were filled with carnitas and steak was on the top. The steak was super flavourful and everything was great. The rice was quite soft and tasty. An employee(owner?) asked us partway through the meal if we liked hot sauce (We do!) and a little bowl of home made morita pepper sauce on our table. It was a delicious, smokey/sweet sauce with quite a bit of heat that we used sparingly. If I could buy a jar to bring home I would! The only downside is that things moved slow. Yelp says that they should be opened at 11 but they were closed at 11:55 (we came back just after noon and they were opened). The service was friendly but slow and it took awhile to get our food. It's worth the wait but be sure to allow for extra time if you're trying to have a quick lunch meal. Note: The slow service was from a one time visit, I don't know if that's the norm or if it was just that particular day.

We started off with the Choriqueso which was just okay, would not get again but not terrible. For our mains we got the Enchiladas Rojas (Medium) and Chimichanga. The enchiladas are a must order and a good filling portion. The chimichangas were also good and the rice was flavourful. The price overall was not bad but $3.99 for a can of Diet Coke is a bit much. Overall, I would visit again.

Aah my favourite Girl in St Jacobs! This girl knows how to…read moreplease your tastebuds. She prepares offbeat Mexican food with local ingredients. Whenever I visit St Jacobs, this food stall is a must stop shop for me and my hubby. Being vegetarian I love the food options available and how she customizes them for me! So whether its Tamales ( my favourite: spicy black bean and corn) or soups, or tacos - it becomes hard to chose just one of them lol. I generally grab daily spl to eat there and take out frozen tamales, which becomes my lunch speak during busy office hours! My husband can't get over the chicken tamales. My 14 Months old loves the rice and beans which comes in the tamale platter, so Whenever I visit st jacobs I dint pack food for her! Hahah saves me time and effort! Well, what to say. How nicely the girl and her daughter serve you, attend you and treat you , they just build a relationship earning regular customers! Wat to go girl!

Super friendly and helpful (told me not to eat it like a burrito) and I ordered the mild beef and pork one. Ate it in the car with a mild salsa, so tender and flavourful. Just what I needed! Best price I have seen for a tamale too. I usually make my own because they usually start at $8 but hers were around $5 and so good. Lovely woman and fantasticfood. No complaints!
