We started hearing Shania Twain, a far cry from the K-POP blaring everywhere else. When we saw the rainbow flag out front and the sea of brassieres hanging from the ceiling, we knew this must be the place. There were just three people at the bar and two behind it, both English speakers. Our particular barkeep was from Curaçao even though she sounded like a Texan. The vibe was casual and quite chill, and we were impressed by the manga menus. The name refers to the Native American tribe, not my dad's 1968 Pontiac Catalina. Quite smooth with just a hush of sweetness that had us tapping our feet to classic Dolly Parton. We were ready to order their artisan signature cocktails for our second round. Another thing hard to ignore is all the peanut shells on the ground. I've eaten my share of peanuts and happily contributed to the mounts of shells over the last few months. It's definitely kind of fun. Fatt's has a lot of tallboy action for stands, which are good for tall folks but that's really about it. There isn't a whole lot of room for group drinking action, but who really cares when you're standing on a bunch of empty peanut shells anyway? They do serve an pretty solid lineup of western foods, mainly bar / pub fare. It's just a shame I haven't really liked any of them. They tout their "big" burgers, but at $100HKD, I'm expecting something big and flavorful. Strangely enough they also serve marinated ribs ($265 for a full slab), sausages, and salads. I would recommend Castros as a good place to meet friends or for a quick pint and bite to eat. The only drawback is the space is a little tight and as such I probably can't see myself there for a full night.
