Awful service. For 30 euro a cocktail I expect to at least be looked at. They served us our drinks then didn't come check on us for 30-40 minutes. We were just waiting there trying to check out while they were obviously ignoring us. I've never felt so discriminated against at a bar.. even a dive bar with $5 drinks would give better service. If you aren't staying in the hotel or you aren't dressed like you're a millionaire they will just pass over you. The decor and ambiance were amazing but god awful service. What a disappointment. And this is coming from somebody who rarely leaves reviews, but this was just unacceptable.

Bar 8 - je t'aime. Our favorite spot for a drink in Paris. The bar is located within the Mandarin Oriental Paris just off Rue St. Honore. A perfect stop after shopping on this famous street. While the indoor bar area is dark and sexy, we always head directly to the outdoor garden (heaters are present in the winter). It's a very unique and chic spot for a drink among the greenery and twinkling lights. Service has always been very kind and welcoming, though they can get a bit stretched when it gets busy. While the scene is enough of a reason to stop by, the drinks never disappoint. Love it!

Pastry

An upscale place in Mandarin Orient in Paris. Very chill place with awesome design. A little pricey but well worth it. The pastries are gorgeous. The cocktails are awesome.

Quite the place, very unique in it's décor, cocktails and service. You might need to wait a bit for…read morea table, but unless it's raining, that's no problem. The cocktails are very fun, and they even have a few beers here if that's your thing. The servers speak fluent English, and it is popular with foreigners, but it's not a tourist trap by any means.

A friend recommended this place and Paris and the vibes are alluding, mysterious, and sexy. I found…read morea new drink I love I will try to make at home! So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!

Unassuming, this cocktail spot in the 7th is a perfect start to a fun evening. My prescription began with an old fashioned coup tailored with "The One." Citrus vodka based classic. It was very good! The champagne foam on top was a first for me. Made the drink trendy I suppose lol. I hung out downstairs until I got hit on by a cute photographer, I'm engaged, so that's a no! But a good sign for single people. It's an environment that creates open conversations. I guess I wasn't done exploring when I ventured upstairs and sat right in between to groups of friends chatting. To my left what looked to be grad students talking about future career plans. They complimented my dress, very nice of them. And to my right a group of friends discussing the topic of dating men who like "going in the back door". One of the ladies seemed very against it but mentioned, "if he really wants to I will atleast one, but i do not prefer it." The mood is intimate and chic. Overall a great time!

Boyfriend turned on the flashlight on his phone to see the menu, as it is quite dark in the bar, but was asked to turn it off by the obnoxious bartender. She said it was too "aggressive" to use actual light to see the menu. He turned it off, and I used the background light from my phone to make out the drinks on the menu. All of them were very "stylish" and expensive, with a lot of unnecessary ingredients. When a table opened up, we moved to it with our drinks. We decided to just have one cocktail, then bail to go to a friendlier, less complicated place. The waitress for our table had an attitude and was just plain rude. Never going back.
