I got 4 different sweets and they were all so sweet that they were virtually inedible. The milk cake was crumbly and grainy. I guess I thought it would be more soft and moist but it completely fell apart when I cut into it. I got a mango ball and a carrot cake square and both were dry and so sweet that it any other flavor became quite mute. You kinda got the hint of flavor in each but it was very slight. There was a moist coconut ball that was on the brink of good but once again, was overpowered by this blast of sugar in your mouth. It was creamy and bouncy but alas went unfinished. I am giving a 3 because to be fair, nothing was inherently wrong. I just could not enjoy the desserts at all.

The flavors are delicious, the portions are satisfying, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The Pani Puri is definitely a must-try -- the perfect balance of flavors, freshness, and tanginess makes it stand out and keeps me coming back for more. The Aloo Tikki is comforting and flavorful, while the Amritsari Kulcha is packed with taste and has that satisfying North Indian touch. As a vegetarian, I truly appreciate having a place where I can explore so many flavorful options. The consistency in taste and quality is what keeps me returning. Highly recommend trying these dishes if you're looking for a delicious and authentic Indian street-food experience!

Janna is a Master Chef of Vegan Cuisine. I was hoping to try the food to see if I liked some of it to have for my family for Thanksgiving. It's so amazing that this won't last until next Thursday!!! I've eaten a 1/5 or everything tonight. I ate less for breakfast and lunch just so I could enjoy this for dinner and it did not disappoint me, at all! Janna is so sweet and pleasant to chat with about the menu and food options. We communicated for over an hour discussing delivery times, ingredients, my anxiety and anticipation of these delicious looking entrees and so much more. This is now my new favorite place to eat!

My favorites are the chicken salads, beef chili, cauliflower chowder, and carrot-ginger soup. Most of their salads are delicious, with the Blake Bowl, Glow Bowl, and Power Bowls getting top marks. :) The English Toffee cookie is also totally delish! It's on the softer side but perfect for the sweet tooth. :D The parking lot usually always has space since the shops in the area are mostly in-and-out stores. The inside is bright, simple but pleasing, and open with a few tables for dining in. Service has always been friendly. I do wish they would put nutrition facts on their products! Since I can't track the macros as easily, Green Fork & Straw is my splurge (both for price and diet) :D

I love Kim phat brand soymilk in Chinatown, it's a tad pricier than other brands (San San, banyan) but it's always fresh, and now I can get it in midtown without having to drive all the way to Chinatown, at the source where it's made. Super awesome. This place is literally a little factory, and they only sell 3 items: soymilk (sweet/unsweetened), firm tofu, and fried tofu. I saw some green soymilk (pandan I'm guessing) in the fridge, but didn't see it on the menu. Anyway, the lady was very kind and friendly, albeit not having very good English. I learned to ask for the "no sugar" soymilk instead of "unsweetened" because she was confused the first time. Cash only. Anyway, great place to pick up some fresh soymilk and tofu if you're in the area!

I want to start this review off by saying that the dedication and pride that both Ms. Arga and…read moreJames displayed in response to my previous experience has given me a different perspective on Sunshine's. After a conversation with Mr. James about the history of this location and the importance of their reputation and providing positive customer service, I came to the conclusion that this food is best enjoyed hot, fresh, and in house. There are a plethora of spaces for all kinds of people, whether quiet and reserved or lively and communicative. Sunshine's has a partially shaded patio that has a great ambience and honestly a pretty good place for small gatherings. To speak on the quality of the food, my experience this time around was excellent. I ordered the Black Bean Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The patty was perfectly cooked and the addition of the veggies made it such a nutritious and light lunch. The only addition I would make is having a sauce ON the sandwich. However I did get some vegan mayo and a smoked sauce on the side to help with adding some moisture to the sandwich. Overall I am very grateful that I got to have a second experience here as I was hoping to become a loyal customer. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to find a cultured food joint that emphasizes health consciousness!

The fries were fresh, homemade, and tasted great when served hot. The Sunshine Burger was good overall, with fresh toppings and plenty of flavor. My only personal preference is that I'm not a fan of beyond meat substitutes, so that kept it from being a favorite for me. Next time, I plan to try the black bean burger instead. I also tried the Golden Milk juice, not a favorite of mine. The food was fresh, the portions were satisfying, and it's a great option for anyone looking for vegetarian or plant-based choices. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.
