I had a very disappointing experience at this facility. I waited approximately 50 minutes with little to no acknowledgment from staff. At one point, a staff member came to the front, looked at me, didn't say anything, and walked back while other employees were laughing and talking in the back. The office was nearly empty, with only one or two patients in the back, so the delay and lack of communication were especially frustrating. Eventually, someone came up and said they would help me, but never returned, stating there was an issue with the computer being locked. After that, another staff member came up and began asking for my information again.Overall, the lack of professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy made this a very poor experience especially for someone seeking medical care. read more

The most horrible experience I have ever had at a Banner Urgent Care. I went the first morning of flu like systems. I had to stand at the front desk for 15 minuets because nobody was there, I finally called this Phylicity I was currently standing there and someone picked up the phone from the back. When I told him I had been standing at the desk for 15 minutes he said she's on her way up. I was greeted but a young woman with a less than kind look on her face like it was even an imposition that I was there, when I tried to lighten the mood (just reminding I was the one who was sick) I asked her how her day was and she flatly replied oh it's been a day alright. Then I was called back to the room where the person who I think he said he was a paramedic and took my vitals, placed in another room when the NP Melissa Monson asked a few questions took a swab for the flu came back 5 minutes later and told me that she saw a faint tiny twinge of a pink like for the flu test she took and said that it may be so faint because I came in the same day I started showing symptoms. I asked that they send my prescriptions next door to CVS as I didn't want to drive all the way across town to get them. They sent them to my normal pharmacy anyway. 10 days later I was not feeling as well as I expected to with the 5 prescriptions they put me on I finally got in to see my doctor. He pulled the paperwork from Banner and said it was no wonder I was not feeling better... The paperwork from Banner stated that I tested NEGITIVE for both type A & B flu... My doctor was not shocked to say the least. I have an upper raspatory infection and prescribed me some antibiotics and 3 days later I'm finally getting some relief. I was misdiagnosed, given the wrong medication and I had to pay 75.00 for that. I want my money back I'll eat the meds I had to pay for and I want an apology for nobody calling me to tell me that my flu tests were negative that I should go to my regular Dr. because there is something else going on with me to stop taking the medications they had given due to being mis diagnosed. read more

I've been here with my kiddo twice in the past 3 months. Once was for a viral infection and once for stitches. Both times we were greeted with a friendly enough front desk gal. We waited roughly 1.5 hours each time, which can be expected at an urgent care. The doctors were very kind, professional and knowledgeable with excellent bedside manner for a sick and scared 7 year old. They treated us both times and even called days later to follow up. I would certainly recommend this location to others. read more

By far the worst one I've been too I go into the emergency because their is no normal entrance to admit my insurance covers all expenses I go to check in check in lady has bad attitude feels like she don't care at all I get admitted and the doctor tells me that I look fine that is wasn't an emergency and basicly said it was in my head and to stop wasteing time and go to a pcp this was at 7am when the lobby was empty and I was the only one don't work there if you don't like to do anything so I decided to leave and the discharge guy said that will be 1100 just for a walk in what a joke. read more

Ok, this is based on 2 visits, one for my infant, and one for myself. The first visit for my child, we were the only ones there. It was about 7 on a thursday night. Staff was friendly and the facility was clean. We got in to see someone in about 10-15 minutes. the PA and staff working that night were very friendly and answered all our questions. No complaints. Got what we needed and were out in about 1/2 an hour. The second visit for myself was also very quick. There was one other person that walked in just ahead of me so I think I had to wait about an additional 5-10 minutes. Once again, the facility was clean and the staff was friendly and seemed genuinely concerned with what I had told them was going on. I saw a PA who was friendly and helpful. Explained the prescribed medication and gave me some tips for the future. I did not give this 5 stars, because I didn't feel totally blown away or amazed at the care, but I was quite happy with it and would recommend it and would go there again. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would... it was pouring rain outside and there were empty seats and they didn't let me go in with my boyfriend that has a broken foot and needed some x rays... (no one helped him walk in). Not only that, but we had set up an appointment at 6:45 and he wasn't handed the pre fill paperwork until 7:40 and currently it's 8:17 and he still hasn't spoken with anyone. It's very frustrating because I'm also a type 1 diabetic and we set up an appointment to avoid a situation like this because of my blood sugars and the chances of having a hypoglycemic episode. I've never been to a URGENT care that takes this long, what's the point of setting an appointment if you don't even get serviced by the promising times they offer. read more

I just got a PCR test from this Urgent Care and did not hear anything back for more than 3 days. I called 9 times during this time and they told me no results were in. On the 10th time I called they then told me the doctor did not order my test and had no record of me being swabbed. Then let me know the male nurse who took my swab did not communicate with the doctor that I even got a test and it was lost. I needed this test for my safety and proof of Covid for my workplace. Since I was waiting for so long to get no results, I lost any chance of being tested now due to the high volume of Covid testing and spreading going on. I am in complete shock the staff had nothing to tell me but "that's what happened" and "it's a four hour wait we can't help you." They did not try to help me whatsoever after their own mistake. read more

Came here with my daughter, she and I were not feeling well. Possible symptoms of coronavirus. I did everything I was supposed to do. I called first, wore a mask and washed/sanitized hands. I went in and explained we had returned from a trip and came through customs at LAX with thousands of people smashed together in lines for several hours. Banner gave us our paperwork and had us complete it in the car. On my phone call (to another location that didn't have the swabs)that I made to them prior to our visit, I was told,to wear face mask, come in, get paperwork, complete paperwork in the car and bring it back. Then wait in car for them to come get me for my appointment. So, that's what I did. I filled out documents and proceeded to bring them back in. As I was approaching the door, a woman by the name of Yajaira peaks her head out the door and says "YOU NEED TO STAY IN YOUR CAR, MA'AM!" In the most rude and unprofessional manner. I was flabbergasted that this woman in a health care facility, that is supposed to be taking care of individuals could be so profoundly brash! If it weren't for the other staff that we encountered there today, I would have given them a single star for review. Ginger and the Doctor were very nice, professional and caring. Thank you both, for your help today, but Yajaira should have no place working with patients in any way. Ginger was so nice and tried to explain that she probably didn't mean it that way. Unfortunately, Yajaira was the person that I will remember most and that's unfortunate. If she worked for me in one of my businesses, I would let her go. Nobody deserves to be spoken to in that tone or manner. read more

She was caring and worked hard to ease my pain. She made sure I was throughly informed and had a plan of action for my after care. Office is also very clean and well kept. read more

It's really frustrating that they offer online check in so that you supposedly avoid the wait time, but on two occasions now they've took walk in patients over us and at two different locations. Going in with my one year old, I intentionally make an online appointment so I'm not stuck trying to occupy him in a waiting room for 30min or longer. As I was in line, two walk in patients were ahead of me checking in and both got called in prior to us, leaving us in the waiting room for over 30 min. I just don't understand the online check in if it doesn't hold your spot. read more

Lacerated my thumb on Friday, E.R.s were full with 3 to 3 1/2 hour wait. They took me back for evaluation immediately to ensure they could suture the wound. The staff and Dr. Miranda were very nice and she did a phenomenal job. I recommend this location to anyone seeking urgent care without the hospital er wait times. read more

I walked in to Banner urgent care on Baseline and Higley to get a flu shot for my 5 year old. Upon walking in I saw others waiting, I asked how long it would be and was told it would be 45 minutes. I said I would come back another time. Deserae was at the front desk, she told me she could get us in right after registration paperwork was done. What she didn't know is that I spent 45 minutes at another clinic who wouldn't do flu shot on 5 yr old. I was tired and frustrated, and she was so kind and understanding. She took us in and gave the flu shot and by the time we left I was laughing. Because of her great customer service I will use this urgent care in the future. Deserae deserves a raise! read more

We went here to see about a throat issue . They saw me immediately and the staff were courteous and friendly. After a diagnosis and antiviral, the problem persisted. No throat culture was run and I ended up going to my primary care physician. If they had run a throat culture they would have known it was not viral but a food allergy. read more

Went in and they immediately want a $75 deposit regardless of your insurance. Was told I had Bronchitis or Walking Pneumonia. They said the only way they would know is from taking an x ray. They said they had an x ray machine but no tech would could take the x ray. They said he is there depending on the day you come in. I was given 2 prescriptions and was told if I needed a refill to call back and they would order the refill. Well, I called back today and was told since the nurse who treated me wasn't in today I would have to come in for a re-evaluation. I told her I was there just 5 days ago that it was the same sickness. Surely you could pull my chart and order a refill. She said no I would have to come in for another visit. I went into today around 4pm. The receptionist was less than inviting. Once she looked into my insurance she told me I would owe $75. I declined treatment and went to a different urgent care where I was told my deductible had been met, that my insurance would cover the visit and that I owed nothing. Either the receptionist didn't understand that my deductible had been met or your clinic over charges. read more

The physican that was working in the banner urgent care on higley and baseline today, which is Friday June 14th 2019 was rude and not very helpful. I took my dad in because his toenail would not stop bleeding after tripping over a rug several hours earlier. His health is not very good to begin with, he is a diabetic, he has heart and kidney failure and just looked and felt awful. As the doctor was wrapping his toe up i had asked her if she could listen to his chest and possibly write him a prescription for this horrible cough he has had for about a week now. She told us that my dad was not allowed to have more than one conplaint for the visit. She told us that if he wanted her to listen to his chest that he would have to re sign back in and wait to be seen again. (I also wrote down toe pain with lots of bleeding/ bad cough and cold as our chief complaint when we signed in). So honestly what would 2 more minutes of her time mattered. One min to listen to his chest and another minute to write a prescription. So if your going to banner urgent care at this location, make sure you only have one issue of complaint if you see Dr. Linda-Michelle Ledesma. read more

BY FAR one of the WORST experiences at an urgent care I have ever had! I am new to the area and do not have a primary care physician so I went to urgent care to be seen for a huge and painful lump in my breast. As if the experience of this lump wasn't overwhelming enough, I waited almost an hour in the room waiting for a PA named Katherine who had the worst bedside manner I have ever been witness to. She walked in staring at her computer, did not even address me with the issue I was having but rather just read off her notes of what she was there to see me for. She did a 5 second exam on my breast and was beyond quick to dismiss me out of my appointment by referring me to get an ultrasound (which was fine) but then prescribed me antibiotics (???) which she told me to take until my ultrasound determined what the lump was. I am not a doctor by any means but why would I be prescribed anything if you are not aware of what my condition actually is? Nor did she even explain to me why she was prescribing it to me. On my notes she directly wrote "we will cover with an antibiotic given your concern". Uhm excuse me? Given my concern? I was dumbfounded when I read that. I cannot describe the amount of CONCERN I have with this PA's practice. Go ahead and put that in your notes Banner Urgent Care!!!!!! Making me feel as though my concern of having a LUMP IN MY BREAST that is completely out of the ordinary for me personally was a waste of your time had me leaving my appointment in tears. Never again will I visit this location. You need to re-evaluate your medical staff immediately! read more

I took my husband this morning because he was vomiting throughout the night uncontrollably. Arcie, the nurse at the front desk, took us to a room right away. The PA Donald came in, talked extensively to my husband, and immediately began treating him! They both were amazingly helpful! I can't say enough positive things about our experience there! They made him comfortable while treating his symptoms and performing tests and hydrating him. I highly recommend these healthcare professionals to anyone who needs assistance! read more

If you are smart, you will not use this place. I took my 9 yr old son to the Gilbert location yesterday, 2/27/19. We saw PA Gregory Pritchard. He was rude, dismissive, and barely let me get a word in. My son is prone to strep throat and I knew that's what he had. The PA would not listen since the rapid test was negative. It was negative because the tech did not swab correctly which I told him. He still dismissed everything I said and said my son had flu or viral pharyngitis. I told him my son had flu A in December so I doubted it was that. Again he said its flu or something viral and sent him on his way....not once listening or caring how much pain my son was in because it was strep. This morning he is progressively worse because it's strep and now I have to pay to take him to another doctor. I shouldn't be charged for the complete lack of care from this place. To top it off, the front desk told me I owed $348 from a previous visit. I called the billing department and they never submitted the claim from 3 months ago.
