My significant other and I both liked how funky, fun, and stylistic the selection of furniture, artwork, and house wares were. The tasteful eclectic variety of items were refreshing against the general plethora of antiques in town. The store was divided into 3 main rooms with slight different thematic elements of decoration in each. Upon entering you have the choice to either go left or right; we choose the left and worked our way through the store. We noticed this artist meets rustic farm house vibe with the wood, glass, and wheat in one room paired with large abstract color field paintings and textiles. The furniture style seemed to be a blend between artistic mid-century to contemporary, comfortable, and functional pieces. Textile pattern options ranged from geometric, to Ikat, and modern abstraction. If you're a fan of different, you're in luck. We tried out a few cloth and leather couches which felt both firm and nicely crafted. The price points are relatively high however based on our interaction with the owner and employees, as well as testing some of the furniture, we could understand why. The pieces seem to be thoughtfully curated and of high quality. While we did not purchase any furniture on our first visit, based on this experience we'd consider doing so at a later point. FYI - There is dedicated parking for the store directly in front. Read the signs carefully since the lot is shared with other businesses.

Interesting place to spend an afternoon. An eclectic mix of antiques and "one man's trash is…read moreanother man's treasure" type of stuff. I have purchased some odds and ends here but I'd say it's more of a browsing store than a place where you know you're going to make a purchase. This is not the type of place you come to looking for a specific "thing" - but it's huge, so there is a LOT too look at, and you might discover a unique gem you didn't know you needed. Definitely a store where you can find something unique! While there are some bargains to be found (I got some cute half-price Xmas decorations after the holidays), there are also quite a few items, especially dishware and ceramics like S&P shakers, vases, etc. and old toys, that are on the pricey side. As far as customer service goes, everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful, once you could find them. I'm assuming because of the size of the store, their staff is spread thin. COVID-19 protocols - Must wear a mask and all staff were wearing masks. It is a store chock full to the brim with furniture and knick knacks, so the areas to walk through can be narrow or lead to dead ends. Use your judgement and socially distance yourself.

I define business excellence in what I refer to as the "Four C's:" Competence. Communication. Cost. Character. Piedmont easily met all four prongs. Accordingly, my experience with this great company is best described as EXCELLENT. My home painting projects, located near Charlottesville, Virginia, came under the leadership of the Project Manager -- Mr. Tobin McCrillis. Upon my first meeting with Mr. McCrillis, while I was considering other painting professionals, I knew within five minutes that Piedmont would be my company for all of my home painting needs. All other prospective companies were no longer under consideration. Mr. McCrillis exudes the confidence that his team knows fully what they are doing (competence). He makes every reasonable effort to keep the customer/client fully apprised and he is very responsive when asked any questions (communication). Every reasonable effort is made by Piedmont to provide the highest quality service at a reasonable price (cost). Very importantly, based on my initial and continued interactions with Mr. McCrillis and the owner -- Mr. Charlie Davis, I knew that I could trust the integrity of this company. They keep their promises and they are honest people (character). Mr. Davis has done a commendable job of setting the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and customer satisfaction throughout his company. Mr. McCrillis ensured that his team lived up to those high standards from the beginning to the completion of the project. I have never before experienced a company of any sort so devoted to professionalism as Piedmont is. Under the overall leadership of Charlie Davis, and the project leadership of Tobin McCrillis, this company is committed to getting the job done right the first time. Therefore, appropriately on Thanksgiving Day, 2024, I do not hesitate to extend my highest personal recommendation and gratitude to Piedmont Paint and Finish. They are a first-class company and a real pleasure to do business with! Shenandoah Titus, Esq.
