BanH-Hoï is such a Saint Tropez gem! The food and service was as good as it gets. This arguably was the best South East Asian food I've ever had. The pad thai was so clean and delicious it's hard to describe. It wasn't too sticky and heavy as some subpar Thai versions. Their crispy vegetables rolls where, so good I could have eaten that all night and been satisfied. They were made with some sort of filo dough that made them crispier than you could imagine. Thai soup with monkfish, lemongrass and coconut milk topped with rice was spectacular. Finally, their wine selection was as good as it gets in France and their price was so reasonable that I couldn't believe my eyes. The pinot noir was my favorite wine that we had. Highly recommend this spot. Also, the location is in the cutest part of Saint Tropez down this narrow walk street in the old part that opens up into this courtyard. Get a seat in the courtyard if you can.

Excellent mix of Vietnamese and Thai. The Nems pork spring roll with lettuce wraps, mint, and fish sauce are fabulous.

Welcome to St. Tropez! This is the sort of restaurant that I'd imagine being in St. Tropez. A very…read morefun place to have dinner. Located on the port overlooking all the action. The dolver sole meunirere is phenomenal. This is a must order. They have a DJ at night and there is sand on the floor. The view is over looking the harbor of St. Tropez. It's a lively place and if you go for the later seating people will stand up and be dancing all around the restaurant!

L'Escale exuded swanky, trendy yet a fun environment. From the chic white interiors, white sand floors (I wish I had asked how they manage to clean those), ornate lighting fixtures, everything here screamed LUXURY! Even the food was like a work of art. We ordered a salad that came with a philodough pastry full of goat cheese. The vegetables were crisp, beautifully vibrant and the presentation was too perfect to even dig into. Well, not quite! The salad tasted just as good as it looked, and this is coming from a girl who doesn't even like salad that much and only ordered it after she saw it on someone else's plate! We also ordered the shrimp risotto. I can't even begin to describe how fresh the shrimp were. I could only imagine that someone had gone to the ocean at the doorstep of the restaurant and caught them before plating them! They were that delicious. It was a meal unlike any I had had in Europe. It was pricey, but so what. We were vacationing in the French Riviera and that comes with a worthy price!

We each got the special so we were able to order fried chicken for one, and gyoza for the other. The broth was rich and full of flavor. The noodles seemed to be homemade, but not sure! The friend chicken was dark meat which i appreciated. You could see the kitchen from where you are seated, which is a good and bad thing. Good because you can see your meal being cooked, but bad because the airflow was horrible in here and extremely hot (we were SWEATING!). The owners were the ones cooking and were of Japanese descent. When we left, they extended a Japanese goodbye/greeting we have heard in other restaurants but can't remember what it means! The wait staff were French and extremely friendly and were able to communicate in French Or English. They allowed me to try out my French and answered my questions so that i could communicate even better. All in all a great spot with tasty food. If they had A/C then i would have given it a 5 star.
