What a find. We stumbled across this place and it truly exceeded our expectations. The proprietess Sylvie was warm and friendly, and made us feel at home. It is a one woman show here - she does it all... waitress, bus boy, and kitchen chef. We were impressed by her work ethic, as well as her creativity with the menu. While we were there sitting at a delightful outdoor table in what felt like a busy and adorable alleyway and the proprietess was in the back, a thief came up to our table and stole my daughter's phone. My husband and daughter chased after the thief, and when the proprietess came out and learned what had happened, she asked me to mind the store and without hesitating, raced after them to help. They eventually returned, my husband victorious after having chased down the thief, escorted back to the restaurant by Sylvie. Our nerves were rattled and she soothed us with extra wine on the house, a limoncello shot, and extra treats for the children, the highlight being her homemade apple lemon tart which she refused payment for. We then tried to give her a generous tip, and she refused, accepting only a modest one (though she deserved more). Even without those added niceties, the food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and clearly homemade. We would definitely recommend coming here. The tart is apparently something people frequently return specifically for, and I can see why. It is totally worth saving room for this dessert. read more
