Acai bowls are made fresh and on the spot. Their oatmeal is so good too! The store is a bit small and when I came here I had to wait a good 15-20 min because they had so many orders but the staff was so friendly and always had a smile on their faces. First time I went I got an oatmeal bowl, I wish I would have got a bigger size because it was sooooo good! Next time I went I got an acai bowl, probably the best around. It was very tasty. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because the system they have implemented while busy is so confusing. They'll have people on line waiting for 15-25 mins while people who order on the phone will cut the whole line and the place is small to begin with so where are all the other people going?? Everything I've tried has been really good. Except when ordering online , was not advised that they were out of the item and they did not mevtiin it at pick up either, they just didn't say anything or ask if I wanted something else instead after I had already paid for it. I had to ask for it and was then told they didn't have it. They also have coffee lids that do not fit the top and expect you to carry a stack of bowls without giving you a bag as you're holding a cup of coffee with a lid flying off spilling everywhere. These are all minor things that can be improved upon but overall a great place. read more

So I went to Bango Bowls today to buy 2 16 ounce açaí bowls and was totally disappointed. I go every week and am always satisfied with my purchase. This week when I went I ordered my usual 16 ounce bango bowl only to see that the amount of açaí in the container was less then half of what we usually get. When I questioned it the girl behind the counter said they were short on açaí ... I said well maybe you should notify your customers and why would I be charged the same price. The other girl said this is actually the amt we're supposed put in the 16 oz basically saying we were generous before. Well if that's the case why would I buy a 16 oz?? I just bought them and went on my way but when I dug in it was more like a granola bowl hardly any açaí!! I travel from Bethpage to your store In Massapequa but you just lost a customer. The app makes it so easy for me. the fruits are fresh and they make the bowl just the way I like it and I love how it is in the neighborhood right on Park Blvd in Mass Park. I placed an online order for two oatmeal bowls and two acai bowls. Found the menu to be interesting and the prices to be reasonable. Upon arrival I was not greeted and stood there waiting while the girls behind the counter chatted with their friends and made one other customer a drink. When I told them the name on my order , the girl handed me the two acai bowls after throwing one on the floor and asked me if I wanted a bag. I asked for the other two items I ordered and was then handed two cold oatmeal bowls. I have to be honest here and voice how disappointing I found this experience to be. One item was dropped on the dirty floor and handed to me without an offer to remake the item over and not even an apology, not to mention the bowl then leaked all over me. My other issue was that the oatmeal bowls meant to be hot were not and had to be reheated. Although presented to me horribly , the oatmeal bowls were tasty and the acai bowls were okay. I don't know if I would rush back here or mention to friends but if I ever wanted a healthy snack I may give it another try hoping they don't launch what I paid for on the floor again and improved their customer service skills and provided hot take out orders. read more

Oh my god, if I were like any of the clientele in Massapequa Park, I'd eat here every day! But alas, I cannot - regardless, this place popped up on my radar as soon as I saw the sign go up. I recently converted to vegetarianism and thus am eating a lot more fruits and vegetables. So finally, I decided this morning, when I wasn't rushing to work, to try it. I got the 16 oz acai bowl - a great portion size for breakfast. It comes loaded with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, granola and coconut. All that for only $7.95! I've gone to most places that make acai bowls and they are almost double the price for all that! I also got the Nitro Sail Away coffee to go (which I've had before and is freaking YUMMY!) The bowl itself was incredibly tasty! It wasn't packed with sugar and the drizzle of honey at the end added sweetness without it overwhelming the healthiness of the bowl. Overall, if you have time in the morning to make eggs and bacon, you have time to get this BOWL! I'm pumped to try the oatmeal bowl next time - those looked tasty, too. Hoping you guys stay in business - town needs this and so do I. read more
