Went on a Friday night in Summer. Walked in and first impressions were good: nice ambiance with mood lighting. It was, however, very hot inside when we sat at our table. No air conditioning or open windows. It was mostly empty in the large open design, though it did pick up a little as the evening wore on. My guess: this place does most of its trade either through take-away, delivery, or in the late night, after the pubs close.
The food was very nice, indeed. And as good as the food was, the service was equally poor. The waiters were completely indifferent, bordering on rude. They continuously walked the perimeter of the room, pretending to look busy, but never slowed, stopped, or inquired to how we were getting on or if we required anything. When the meal was delivered, the waiter could not properly identify one of the dishes (the Aloo Gobi).
All in all, we thought it rather dear for what one received: the service was poor, but the food itself was very, very yummy. Were I to go back, it would be mid-week when there is two-for-one and I would order take-away. So, great food, poor dining experience. read more
