I began coming to this clinic last year with an aging pet that eventually had to be put to sleep…read more They were always kind and helpful. I would suggest the woman vet over the man though. My daughter received a puppy before Christmas and we were getting vaccines done there through the puppy package. Yesterday, I encountered an issue where I only had so much money available and had rescheduled an appointment from a Friday (pay day) to a Wednesday due concerns about the weather. We discussed before coming that I only wanted the two vaccines and it would be $30. Once there and telling the tech that I just wanted the two, she proceeded to take the dog back for shots. When she came back she said she gave her 3. When I went to check out, I informed them that I talked to someone in advance (actually twice) and all I could do was the $30. I informed them I would pay the rest on Friday which was less than $20. I know that isn't much but I did not have it. A woman by the name of Rachel came out from the back in full attack mode saying she couldn't take the third vaccine out of the dog therefore I HAD to pay in full. I told her that I requested just the two and it was on them but would pay the rest on Friday. She then humiliated me in front of my daughter by telling me to be a better mom and call someone for the money. She threatened to call the police on me as well. I was standing there in tears because I was in such disbelief. She was the most condescending , hateful person I have ever encountered like that. I have posted this vet's info on so many pages to bring business and I am still in shock with how I was treated. This woman , Rachel, then said "Have a blessed day" in such a hateful tone. I turned and said please do not use Christianity to make up for how you just treated me. She then replied "Honey, I am not Christian." She called me honey twice BTW to invoke some sort of superiority. I was SHOCKED that not one person working there allowed her to continue. There was a woman there with her poor sick dog that paid for my visit after hearing what happened. I did go back in and pay the $30 I could afford to that woman's account because she had already left so I do hope they credited her. As a 50 yo standing there in tears being verbally insulted, I will NEVER step foot back in there and I am SHOCKED that any vet would allow their employees to treat anyone, let alone customers like that. I will be contacting Consumer Protection for the first time in my life and filing a report.

The assistant and the vet were both very patient and kind. Our dogs were seen by Dr. Arca, and he really took his time. He listened carefully to all my concerns and answered every question without rushing. He even shared his email in case anything comes up later, which I really appreciated. Having had dogs for years, I tend to be cautious about introducing too many medications and prefer a more natural approach when possible. It felt like he really understood that and tailored his suggestions around what we were comfortable with, instead of pushing anything unnecessary. Overall, it was a really positive visit, attentive, respectful, and we felt like our dogs were genuinely cared for.

Because of my interaction with the front desk I had a bad feeling and was going to go somewhere else, but I looked up the Doctor that was performing the surgery and thought she seemed good. Next time I'll listen to that bad feeling. After the surgery and the cone came off I see my kitten has dry poop on him and give him a bath, then I see he has a scab on his back his ears have sores and his right foot is bothering him. I notice he was limping when I brought him home, but I thought he was walking funny because the cone was so big on him. I called to bring him back in and told the front desk what was wrong and they couldn't get him in for several days, so of course I took him somewhere else that same day and was told most likely where I got him neutered probably used heat blankets, that all they could think of that would cause these burns. After talking to the Vet at VCA Saginaw she said they do use the heat blankets. Bottom line they did not take good care of my kitten, neutering is suppose to be a simple surgery, I wasn't worried about anything happening to him. Now I have spent over $200 to make sure he's okay, but it's not about the money it's about the care, although VCA should refund what I paid to get him after care. Save your pet and yourself the pain and the trouble. Stay away from VCA Saginaw. Their are plenty of other veterinarians with top ratings to pick from in Saginaw.

I could…read morenot figure out a reason until I realized that I stopped his antibiotics, at the suggestion of Dr. Collins, even though he hadn't even finished the full course. The last time he had a UTI, he needed two rounds of antibiotics. My dog's pain is now equal to or greater than when I originally took him in and even with antibiotics and pain meds, I cannot seem to get him stabilized. I researched letting your pet go yesterday if that tells you where we are. I would NOT take my pet to see this vet. Maybe they have better vets within the office, but that's a risk you can take for yourself. I can't turn back time. And I very well might lose my dog. I would not recommend this clinic! My first visit went well. Unfortunately, after meeting with Dr Collins, my entire opinion changed. I took my 11 yr old labradoodle in for reoccurring UTIs (I have a urinalysis for each and every one confirming UTIs). With the agreement of his regular vet who I trust implicitly, I scheduled for an ultrasound with this clinic. The ultrasound was done with no remarkable findings. The tech suggested putting my dog on nightly antibiotics to hopefully stop the UTIs. Dr Collins talked to me over the phone and seemed helpful. He stated he'd like to see my dog to get a baseline since he'd only seen him during the ultrasound when he was supposedly sedated (something I seriously question now). I scheduled an appointment even though I'd already spent an excessive amount of money on this for no answers. When I met with him, he tried to manipulate me into doing what he wanted which as far as I can tell now was to spend more money. I specifically stated NUMEROUS times that I would not put my dog through surgery. According to Dr Collins, my dog's care has been mismanaged. He hasn't had UTIs. He has arthritic pain. And to be treated with the "best care" (see that play on emotions?), I should take him to an internal specialist who would likely want a bladder biopsy. (Aka surgery...exploratory surgery) His plan was to put my dog on gabapentin for the rest of his life to deal with this supposedly excessive pain that I'm not aware of! There was no plan for the UTIs. You know? What I went in for in the first place!!! Now comes the part that makes me really angry as "Dr Know it all" never said any of this. If my dog does in fact have bladder cancer, there's nothing that can be done. In fact, if it's in the middle of his bladder, he'd have reoccurring UTIs which would be treated with antibiotics. Yeah. So Dr Collins would have put my dog through needless, painful surgery to MAYBE find bladder cancer so we could then treat it with what the ultrasound tech said all along. Hmm. Forgot to mention that huh? Real convenient. Clearly my dog's care was not your utmost concern. I question your ethics.

I called five times after I left him - verifying the steps and ensuring what I needed would be done. I spoke for 28 minutes with the receptionist, and sent multiple emails with explicit directions for a cheek swab and then a tissue sample when the cheek swab wasn't possible. I even called immediately after sending an email subjected "Tissue Sample" to review the instructions with her. She confirmed she understood and that the doctor knew what to do. When I arrived with dry ice and shipping materials, I was told the vet NEVER collected the sample before cremation-- only hair and nails. The hair had no root (so it's useless for DNA). I am deeply concerned with Dr. Nichols medical knowledge if he believes top coat fur can be submitted for DNA testing needs... This wasn't a minor miscommunication. It was a complete failure to follow clear, documented instructions from a pet owner. Because of this, I permanently lost the chance to preserve his genetic material and learn his true breed mix. On top of that, I had requested the clay paw prints every cremation facility provides. Bonds Ranch never submitted that request. Instead, they made their own(!) with paint on paper. It looks like a child's art project! I have the email thread with the crematorium confirming the clay prints were NEVER REQUESTED from Bonds Ranch. Yet again -- another piece of him I've lost forever due to their lack of attention and utter negligence. If this is the attention they pay in imperative moments that can never be recovered, please be aware of how they handle everything.
