Rambo getting ready to head to his room
Brandon K.

I've taken my dog Rambo here quite a few times as he is a puppy and had to go through all the shot series etc. Dr. Kelly is so sweet to Rambo each time we come in he just loves her and the stuff. The facility is always immaculate, you are seen usually right by the time your appt starts give or take a few minutes, but they never keep you waiting too long at all. Thanks Dr. Kelly and teAm!

Waiting a patiently as he can

So where do I begin. Let's start with where is the middle ground for your dog. Apparently you can see a vet in two incidences, an Emergency room animal hospital for life saving care or make an appointment because you dog has fallen ill and you were able to plan well in advance. But what about the dog who has gone on So where do I begin. Let's start with where is the middle ground for your dog. Apparently you can see a vet in two incidences, an Emergency room animal hospital for life saving care or make an appointment because you dog has fallen ill and you were able to plan well in advance. But what about the dog who has gone on exceeding the 48 hour mark of vomiting only mucus and bile? How about the dog that has tried to drink water 10 mins later vomits it all up and then some? What a about the dog who refuses to eat, even peanut butter? What about the dog that for the first time in 5 years had a personality change 180° and you can tell is ill. Why is it so hard to find affordable acute care that you can get a decent walk-in appointment to? Let's face it...it is no secret that many Americans face the decision of money to pay the utilities and rent/mortgage vs money to rush a beloved pet to the vet for an $800 bill. A large majority of Americans have everything they need to live off of, but that doesn't mean they have an extra cash laying around to handle major emergency situations. People of all ages including working families, single parents and senior citizens are faces with the hard choice of losing a pet because they simply didn't have the money for the vet. The service here is that of Parkland ER. I arrived at 8:04am. It is currently 11:05am a still zero dr. There was one patient in the building at one point and still the doctor couldn't juggle a walk-in?? If you can't handle an a cute walk in app it then you need to make your practice a by appointment only vet care facility. This is in indeed just another Uber, Casper, Warby Parker, Apple store insta Vet place. iPads and profits. I do not recommend this place at all. There are far better Vets in this area to use for all kinds of appointments including ACUTE WALK-INS. I REMAINED FOR THREE STRAIGHT HOURS. I finally stood in the hallway waiting to even see an employee. Rebecca (who has no concern for personal space as she stood inches from my body position) the "Pet Concierge" was indeed of zero politeness. I simply started that I find it beyond hard to believe that in over 3 hours (it is now 11:17am) the doctor hasn't had not 5-7 possible 10 mins to walk in this room. The treatment to everyone that worked on with appointment was that of a visitor to Buckingham palace. But I have learned how the "not of my concern" patience are rated and treating by staff. My dog has laid here since 8:05am. It's now 11:19am. He isn't ok ...or I wouldn't be here!

In the exam room waiting for his turn.

I love Thrive. When they say affordable, they mean it. Not only does my dog get treated like the spoiled pup he is when we go but it doesn't break my bank. The staff has been nothing but professional and loving with my pup every time he's in. I keep saying pup because he'll always be my puppy but I should mention that he is an aggressive 87lb Pit/Lab mix and the staff at Thrive handle him perfectly. Even when he barks and lunges at other dogs, they transition the pets with caution and care rather than reprimanding my dog and muzzling him. I appreciate that. That's my FurBaby and They treat him as such. It's the first time I've found a place in Tarrant County that I actually want to continue going to. Thank you, Thrive!

Walk-ins are really not walk-ins. Costs are reasonable. Location is close to home but wish they did better with walk-ins

One star - Poor care, no accountability, and a deeply unprofessional vet…read more It's unfortunate to write this, as I had been a loyal client of Boulevard Animal Hospital for years under the excellent and compassionate care of Dr. Joe Allen. But after his retirement, the quality of care declined--culminating in an unacceptable and unprofessional interaction with Dr. Erin Hauser. During a call about a serious and unexplained 8-pound weight loss in my dog over 60 days, I voiced reasonable concerns and asked direct questions about how this could have gone unnoticed. Dr. Hauser became immediately defensive, deflected blame to a vet tech, and ultimately hung up on me mid-call--claiming I was being "hostile." I was not. I was clear, firm, and appropriately concerned for my dog's health. Her response was reactive and unprofessional. I contacted the practice manager, Jennifer, who acknowledged this was not acceptable and said she expected Dr. Hauser to apologize. Instead, I was told Dr. Hauser cried and refused. After that, the practice went silent--no apology, no accountability, and no further communication. The final blow came when I received my pet's medical records. The notes had clearly been updated after the fact to include gaslighting language and self-protective reframing--mischaracterizing me as hostile, emotional, and irrational while avoiding any acknowledgment that a licensed vet had hung up on a concerned client. It was a textbook case of rewriting the narrative to protect the provider rather than the patient. That's not just unprofessional--it's unethical. This clinic once stood for high-quality, compassionate care. What I experienced was a breakdown in clinical standards, emotional deflection, and a vet more invested in defending herself than caring for the animal. I've taken my dog--and her records--elsewhere. I'm sharing this for every pet owner who expects honesty, care, and professionalism from their vet. You should never be gaslit or silenced for advocating for your animal.

Found this vet 2 days after we moved here as our Doberman had a leg injury due to the move. Initial appointment as well as all others have been top notch. The staff have always got us scheduled ASAP. When we have emergencies they see us immediately. Dr. Risley is the best vet we've ever had and he is very good with our dogs. We had to put down our 12 year old Schnauzer last year. The ladies and Dr. Risley made an extremely heartbreaking process a bit easier. All of the office staff is amazing. When you have 3 dogs you have frequent visits to the vet. All of the staff are loving and our dogs love them...even if they are getting shots. Lol! We have had all different procedures and surgeries and have boarded our pups here on numerous times. Dr. Risley has never recommended a procedure that isn't necessary. We've had vets that you feel like you are walking into Jiffy Lube and being solicited a bunch of ridiculous tests and procedures. Dr. Risley understands that our dogs are our family members but we don't won't to extend their lives past what is best for them or break the bank. If you are looking for a wonderful place for your pet then this is the place.
