Every Dr and every office contact I have worked with or been in contact with over phone, email and person have been beyond fabulous and understanding through the recovery plan and the financial plan. Not to mentioned they saved Patches life after a brutal attack. We are very grateful for this entire office & staff !!

We spoke to the veterinarian and they told me I probably know more about the situation than them because I do animal rehabilitation. Well that wasn't what we expected after calling ahead of time. Speaking with the staff...they are definitely friendly and respectful for the animals coming to their practice, but they should have told us they didn't have much experience with prairie dogs. I feel like it was a wasted visit of almost an hour drive one way to be told I know more about my prairie dog than the veterinarian. Expensive visit which would have been worthwhile if we had any type of answers. Sad visit.

I called and was told that I'd have to pay for another office visit ($75) plus medication (that part's understandable). I was not a client at the time, but the staff was beyond kind and compassionate, didn't rush when I wanted to say my final goodbyes, and handled her with the utmost care. When I got my Goldendoodle pup in 2021, this clinic was the only place I wanted her to go for vet care. She saw Dr. Thompson post-Covid, so the clinic was still "drop off only." The tech was so sweet with my pup, loved on her in the car, and carried her inside to keep her calm and happy. Dr. Thomason immediately called after her shots and check-up and answered all questions I had regarding the visit. Never did I feel rushed or unimportant. Dr. Thompson is kind and extremely knowledgeable - you can tell she really loves her job! Poppy adores her vet and the staff! She loves going in to see everyone and makes sure to give all the love she can to some of her favorite people. I cannot recommend this clinic enough for your pet's veterinary care. The prices are reasonable, the waiting room is clean, and the care is amazing!

But after his retirement, the quality of care declined--culminating in an unacceptable and unprofessional interaction with Dr. Erin Hauser. During a call about a serious and unexplained 8-pound weight loss in my dog over 60 days, I voiced reasonable concerns and asked direct questions about how this could have gone unnoticed. Dr. Hauser became immediately defensive, deflected blame to a vet tech, and ultimately hung up on me mid-call--claiming I was being "hostile." I was not. I was clear, firm, and appropriately concerned for my dog's health. Her response was reactive and unprofessional. I contacted the practice manager, Jennifer, who acknowledged this was not acceptable and said she expected Dr. Hauser to apologize. Instead, I was told Dr. Hauser cried and refused. After that, the practice went silent--no apology, no accountability, and no further communication. The final blow came when I received my pet's medical records. The notes had clearly been updated after the fact to include gaslighting language and self-protective reframing--mischaracterizing me as hostile, emotional, and irrational while avoiding any acknowledgment that a licensed vet had hung up on a concerned client. It was a textbook case of rewriting the narrative to protect the provider rather than the patient. That's not just unprofessional--it's unethical. This clinic once stood for high-quality, compassionate care. What I experienced was a breakdown in clinical standards, emotional deflection, and a vet more invested in defending herself than caring for the animal. I've taken my dog--and her records--elsewhere. I'm sharing this for every pet owner who expects honesty, care, and professionalism from their vet. You should never be gaslit or silenced for advocating for your animal.

High cost treatments in situations where it is absolutely not necessary, all why trying to play on the emotions of our love for fur baby. We saw right through it. We just nodded and smiled and sad no thank you. For example, Our past vet was a guru. (He also treated exotics, had a TV show with live call in questions, and would always err on the least invasive approach first when suspecting a diagnosis.) We are also on our third dog of this breed. We questioned him about a situation (two dogs ago, 12+ years) He said, "leave it alone. Those situations work best when nature takes its course. Intervening could only result in long term complications with their tiny jaw bone." Much experience with this and many years later, the vet at AHCS went on and on about tests & surgery needed immediately. ‍ She was a piece of work! (We were like, thank you, but can we just get the script for heart worm meds?) The other times they have manufactured concerns and played on the negative outcomes if we don't do something (again not what we were there for). The joke is on them. They don't know my husband is a trauma boarded physician. When he asks why chase a rare/odd suspicion when there is no sign during daily living and no treatment anyway? They (especially techs) look like a deer in the headlights. Their reply was "don't you want to know?" Ha! He said, "I prefer to wait for symptoms before I begin investigating. " Beware!!! They will rack up a huge bill for NOTHING if you let them play on your emotions!!
