The ambiance speaks volumes. The ambiance makes you feel like you are business royalty. I will describe the ambiance because words will not give it justice-YOU HAVE TO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF. The cigar lounge has a wide range of drinks, but there cigar selection is limited (but they will allow outside cigars). The Living Room is a MUST for cigar connoisseur visiting or living in Vienna.

And in the district of Alsergrund (9th) has developed some of the most amazing and unique of all cocktail bars. One of the very best is Krypt. Now you are going to have to really want to go there to find it. You see it is located down many stairs from an unmarked entrance on a little side street. But it is worth seeking out. The vaulted arches of this old keller bar is just cool with many cozy chill niches among its brick walls. The bar itself backed by a large painting is lit by candlelights. Cocktails begin at the extremely fair price of 10 Euros and service (and dress) is unpretentious and friendly. I recently popped in for a Black kryptonite. This concoction with a base of rye whiskey and Creme de Mure might indeed prove to be your weakness if you drink too many of them!

Everyone working here is so darned cheerful and accommodating that the language barriers we had were overcome with the trusty old point-at-the-item routine. The service was friendly, there was a pug on staff, and the bar doubled as a cute indie clothing shop. Unfortunately, smoking was permitted (as with many bars/restaurants in Vienna) so we only stayed for one and I wouldn't consider buying clothes from here due to the smoke exposure.
