I was there recently for their Halloween party and you could tell they made a strong effort to celebrate: decorations on the walls, ALL of the staff in costumes (and showing some strong effort too). The downstairs bar was packed when I got there, so it took a while to get a drink, but that's not unexpected. I went years ago for their pub quiz and it was my favorite in town. The quizmaster, Allen (or was it Alan?) made the whole experience a lot of fun. If he's still doing the quiz, I'll be back.
