This is probably one of my favorite bars in Vienna. It is located on the rooftop of the 25hour hotel in the city so the view is fantastic. It's perfect for summer when the terrace is open and you can chill on the balcony overlooking the city. They also have a great selection of cocktails that are all around 12€. It might be on the pricier side but I feel like it's reasonable considering it's in a hotel and it is definitely worth it for the view. It is usually quite crowded but so is every other bar in the city. You'll usually be able to find a seat on the large long table that is shared. The bar has a slight hipster vibe with very random decorative pieces like drums hangingover the bar. The overall atmosphere is really nice and it isn't excessively loud so it's an ideplace to grab a drink with a friend and talk for a prolonged period of time.

Nice idea but for me lacked more than it promised. Lets start with the positives: -Great view of the city. -Funky atmosphere and ambiance. Ummmm thats it really. Now for what for me were negatives: -Doorman was rude to everyone who he spoke to. Slight Nepolean complex perhaps. -Barstaff were unorganised, sloppy, lazy and disinterested in making quality drinks. -Waitstaff the same. -No water or snacks offered with drinks. -Prices were ridiculously high for the smallness of the drinks offered. Apart from the view for me there is absolutely no reason to go back.

    The perfect wine ;-)

Great bar with magnificent view of Vienna to have drinks! They both have a beautifully terrace and a nice inside with couches and relax chairs. The one thing that was a bit disappointing is that they do not have small snacks etc except for cake/quiche. That would have made a 5 star rating for me!

I love this place! Cozy atmosphere on the rooftop with a beautiful view. It is easy to find and is the perfect spot to go for an after-work-drink with your friends. The prices are acceptable (but not necessarily the cheapest compared to other bars) and the crew is really friendly. Would definitely recommend!

    The terrace is very nice

Nice casual setting, comfy sofas and chairs, eclectic decor. Reasonably priced drinks. Not much choice on food (there is a restaurant downstairs if you need a full meal) but we munched on fresh warm pita with hummus and falafel, very tasty. To top it all off, a great view from the terrace, which was open despite the rain. A nice place to rest your feet after a day of sightseeing.

the 25th hours rooftopterasse with his bar is one must go there plce in Vienna!! Not only you have a wonderful great view above Vienna from the terasse, also the interior is one of a kind. Full of interesting elements, you can enjoy the godd service and ambience with friends and also in bigger groups. But there is also one big minus - they serve snacks for food, but personally I think the hummus is good (of course its from Neni) but too expensive. you can order falafel with bread, but they don't come with hummus, so thats kind of really dry, if you order the hummus too you pay around 15€ - while you get the same stuff in the supermarket for a third of the price.

Very cosy place. Spacious. Non smoking. Good choice of drinks. Tea selection quite nice. I like the way they serve it in nice tea pots. I definitely recommend!

A cool place to get high....

Three words - "Ich liebe Dachboden!" It's my favorite bar/restaurant for a view from on high in the world. Why? Because it's so unpretentious. Drinks don't suddenly triple or quadruple in price because you are treated with a skyline view. All at once, the only food you can order is not a fifty Euro filet mignon from Mongolia or an Arctic salmon stuffed with caviar because you're dining nearer the heavens. No - at Dachboden you get the glorious views with extremely fair-priced drinks and food.....and friendly service. I take almost everyone visiting me in Vienna here .... and it's always a very popular decision. Hey and looking out from Dachboden over the rooftops and busy streets of the first district is totally awesome!

It is pricey, over designed and always busy. Order a drink and slip out onto the deck to enjoy the evening air and stunning Wien skyline.

The Loos Bar was designed by famous Viennese architect and design Adolf Loos in 1908. It's 290 square feet of onyx, marble, and mahogany. It really is an incredible space. (They do have outdoor seating but if it's your first visit to the Loos Bar, you want to sit inside - it's part of the experience.) It's a cocktail bar, so my friend and I each ordered a cocktail according to our preferences from the menu - which is huge. My friend had a cocktail made with mezcal, and I had the Adolf Loos Spritzer (champagne, soda, strawberries, and mint). We both enjoyed our cocktails. Mine was exactly what I wanted on a warm afternoon day - refreshing and light. We went in the early afternoon, because I worried that this tiny little bar would get packed if we went at a more traditional hour for cocktails. It was pretty empty when we arrived and sat inside. So that's what's great about the Loos Bar - the design, the style, the drinks, the history. What's not so great? The service wasn't great, pretty unfriendly/unwelcoming (our bartender seemed almost offended we'd bothered him by ordering a drink). And they have a dress code - no flip flops, backpacks, or shorts (although "elegant shorts are welcome outdoors"). The dress code is reasonable, I suppose, and I probably wouldn't have minded if it weren't for the poor service. Despite this bad service, I can't give the Loos Bar any less than four stars, because it was one of the coolest bars I've ever visited: an amazing, historic space and some great cocktails, too.

SCAM ALERT. Let me tell you how this will go:…read more The Nigerian bartender will befriend you, find out what you like, let you grab a seat, order your cocktail, and then an hour or two into the evening he will approach your table with an unsolicited tray full "samples" in whatever particular genre of spirits or cocktails he has figured out you enjoy. Only, these are not samples. If you go along with it, you will be unceremoniously charged at the end of the night for every item he brings, which you didn't order. If you protest, highlight the fact you never ordered those drinks, or question this con-artist, he will make an overly dramatic display feigning that he was insulted or even emotionally hurt by your accusations, and at the end of the evening you'll STILL be charged for the drinks you never ordered. This is exactly how it played out for my friend and I. We asked for the manager in order to explain the situation. Then, and this is the amazing part, the bartender who attempted the scam us admitted to overcharging us on purpose! The manager then exclaimed, "I hate drama!" Well, us too. The bartender, upon being caught, then knocked 2 of the drinks we did not order off the tab (still overcharging us 3 rounds) and would go no further, which was the same moment the manager disappeared from view. At one point the classic threat was issued by either the manager or the bartender "we could call the police" to which my friend and I replied "Please do." Both the bartender and manager backed down immediately. They are clearly aware that fraud is being perpetrated at this establishment. I travel often, having spent much time in the developing world, and have seen just about every scam out there. This one was particularly shocking however, given that we were in the heart of Austria. This is not a swindle I expected to find in a beautiful, well run and organized city such as Vienna. As my work takes me back to Vienna often, I'll be sure to continue seeing the rest of that fine city, though I'll probably skip Albertina Passage. I look forward to filing a police report on this incident in the meantime.

Service was good but with too much interference during ongoing table conversations. Live performance was good if you come for drinks. For dining it does not work as it kills table conversations. We moved closer together for a better chance to hear each other, hardly an ideal solution. Food was tasty overall, with the cabbage dish being over salted. Flavor and portion sizes (thank goodness for the ongoing supply of bread) are not in line with the price level. Budget EUR 100 per person with drinks and tip... and for that it lacks on several fronts to make it a memorable stay.
