The rooftop bar here is so cool and trendy and has great city views :-) Went here for drinks last night and loved it. Great indoor and outdoor areas with elegant and chic design. This is probably one of my favorite bars in Vienna. It is located on the rooftop of the 25hour hotel in the city so the view is fantastic. It's perfect for summer when the terrace is open and you can chill on the balcony overlooking the city. They also have a great selection of cocktails that are all around 12€. It might be on the pricier side but I feel like it's reasonable considering it's in a hotel and it is definitely worth it for the view. It is usually quite crowded but so is every other bar in the city. You'll usually be able to find a seat on the large long table that is shared. The bar has a slight hipster vibe with very random decorative pieces like drums hangingover the bar. The overall atmosphere is really nice and it isn't excessively loud so it's an ideplace to grab a drink with a friend and talk for a prolonged period of time. read more

Nice idea but for me lacked more than it promised. Lets start with the positives: -Great view of the city. -Funky atmosphere and ambiance. Ummmm thats it really. Now for what for me were negatives: -Doorman was rude to everyone who he spoke to. Slight Nepolean complex perhaps. -Barstaff were unorganised, sloppy, lazy and disinterested in making quality drinks. -Waitstaff the same. -No water or snacks offered with drinks. -Prices were ridiculously high for the smallness of the drinks offered. Der Dachboden was the best one I went to. ======================== There's a few key things that are important to me when it comes to a cocktail bar: good drinks (obviously), a cool vibe, unique cocktails, and a few other unknown factors. Der Dachboden checks off every box, and boasts one of the best views of the city from its rooftop patio (or so I've heard... it was very cloudy and there was low visibility when I went). The patio was still nice though and has heaters and little shelves for your drink. The inside of the bar is just as nice, with a hip vibe and lots of seating. The couches leave enough room for large parties but also still give your group it's own space. The menu sits on the table and it's extensive offerings will take a few minutes to read over. I had two drinks here and loved the winter mule- with lots of apple and cinnamon tastes. I also had the clementine drink (but forget the name). The drinks weren't insanely expensive but definitely weren't cheap- but when it's one of the best bars you've been to, you don't necessarily care. This is a special place and I highly recommend a visit. read more

Great bar with magnificent view of Vienna to have drinks! They both have a beautifully terrace and a nice inside with couches and relax chairs. The one thing that was a bit disappointing is that they do not have small snacks etc except for cake/quiche. That would have made a 5 star rating for me! read more

Went here for their rooftop bar on a cold October evening. The bar is packed but had gorgeous landscape style views of downtown Vienna. I appreciated how they had a live DJ and many areas to sit and chat and also areas to play games and participate in the photo booth. I am giving it 3 stars for the fact that there were not enough wait staff for the amount of guests, the prices of "long drinks" basically cocktails back in the states, was way too high, and the bartender had never made my drink and tried to give me fuss about it when I had asked that it be made (she thought I was trying to get a second one for free). Tsk tsk- pearl: always believe the customer, never question them. read more

I absolutely love this place! Really the best view in town without paying 12 eur for a drink. Hidden at the top of the 25 Hours Hotel, the glass front wall and large patio afford an incredible view of the city. You can see the Votivkirche, VIC, the Rathaus, parliament, Stephansdom, Karlskirche, and even the anti-aircraft tower near Mariahilferstrasse. Check it out around sunset, grab a cool drink, plop into a comfy chair or hang out on the railing, and relax as you take a step apart from the city moving below you. On weekend nights, the bar quickly fills and non-hotel guests have to queue outside the building until space opens up. Instead, come by on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, or even better, come on a weeknight for a post-work drink. read more

I love this place! Cozy atmosphere on the rooftop with a beautiful view. It is easy to find and is the perfect spot to go for an after-work-drink with your friends. Nice casual setting, comfy sofas and chairs, eclectic decor. Reasonably priced drinks. Not much choice on food (there is a restaurant downstairs if you need a full meal) but we munched on fresh warm pita with hummus and falafel, very tasty. To top it all off, a great view from the terrace, which was open despite the rain. A nice place to rest your feet after a day of sightseeing. read more

the 25th hours rooftopterasse with his bar is one must go there plce in Vienna!! Not only you have a wonderful great view above Vienna from the terasse, also the interior is one of a kind. Full of interesting elements, you can enjoy the godd service and ambience with friends and also in bigger groups. But there is also one big minus - they serve snacks for food, but personally I think the hummus is good (of course its from Neni) but too expensive. you can order falafel with bread, but they don't come with hummus, so thats kind of really dry, if you order the hummus too you pay around 15€ - while you get the same stuff in the supermarket for a third of the price. read more

Come for the view, stay for the beer. I loved this rooftop bar, especially as it was only two floors up from our hotel room. The views are only fabliss. The decor inside is a funky lounge room with salvaged-esque furniture and some brass instruments thrown in for good measure. With Fritz soda boxes drafted in for extra seating, the place is terrible hip altogether. Outside the seating comrpises of cushioned wooden seats. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. Opting for the Gösser beer, it was lovely to sit back on the terrace in the late afternoon after the sun has gone behind the building and before the place got too busy. I can't recommend it enough. read more

Only giving 3 stars because I thought the interior and outdoor terrace gave mixed signals about the place. I wasn't sure if it was more of a low-key hangout place (which I thought most of the inside looked like) or more of a bar/late night place (the patio and bar). They do have a pretty good selection of wines and beers, and the view is fantastic. Don't think there are very many other places where you can gaze over Vienna with a drink in hand on top of a tall building. The wait seemed to be pretty long around 11-12. I got there at 10:30 and only had to wait a couple of minutes before being let in. Almost everyone was outside on the deck so it seemed really empty inside, which at first made me wonder why there was a wait. It's one of the better bars I did go to in Vienna, so I'd probably come back. read more

So if you don't want your clothes to smell like cigarettes when you were just out to enjoy a drink, then consider visiting 25hours Hotel's rooftop bar. The set-up is wide-open with a variety of eclectic seating options. It's a really nice space and there's also an outdoor balcony area where you can soak in views of Vienna. While not as cheap as some other local neighborhood bars, the drinks are reasonably priced. This is a great spot where tourists and locals alike come to mingle, drink and enjoy the evening. This is the bar on the rooftop of the 25 hour hotel. And the view of Vienna is amazing from up here. Especially at sunset when the lights for the museums, churches and town hall come on. Very romantic indeed! There is an outdoor terrace or you can admire the view from the inside, which is cozy with cool decor, kind of a hipster look/feel in the place though. Surprisingly the prices are not any different than what you would usually pay. I'd definitely recommend this place - good place for tourists too. read more

Three words - "Ich liebe Dachboden!" It's my favorite bar/restaurant for a view from on high in the world. Why? Because it's so unpretentious. Drinks don't suddenly triple or quadruple in price because you are treated with a skyline view. All at once, the only food you can order is not a fifty Euro filet mignon from Mongolia or an Arctic salmon stuffed with caviar because you're dining nearer the heavens. No - at Dachboden you get the glorious views with extremely fair-priced drinks and food.....and friendly service. I take almost everyone visiting me in Vienna here .... and it's always a very popular decision. Hey and looking out from Dachboden over the rooftops and busy streets of the first district is totally awesome! read more

Great casual and lounge ambiance. Only issue is seating. Not many places to sit on the patio, but there is a lot of room to stand. Beers are a good value and mixed drinks/wine are more expensive than other bars around. Great place to visit as a tourist for the views and local feeling. read more

They didn't serve cocktails throughout the night because they would periodically run low on ingredients, but we got spritzers which were yummy!
