Our Golden Retriever loves this park. Although we're closer to Howe Park, we prefer Bandix because there are several areas to play fetch where your pooch won't always have competition for their favorite toy. The perimeter loop through the woods takes about 20 minutes, our Golden likes to play hide-and-seek there. There are several benches and patio chairs placed about the park. For the most part the park is clean. There are poo mitts located throughout the park and a garbage can near the gated entrances. There is also a human waste receptacle. It would be great if the water storage areas were covered as they tend to grow algae in the summer sun. We have not had a negative experiences with other dogs here either.

Never unhappy with a little sunshine

I think this park gets taken for granted with our sad grey sky's and horrible weather sometimes. But this truly is a very beautiful park. I lucked out by going at a time when everyone was busy so I got to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful blooms all at once. I only didnt give it 5 stars due to it not being completely fenced. But its still just a fun park to walk around has baggy stations placed throughout for easy access. :)

Full service poo baggies and trash can!

This dog park is 30 acres of walking trails and an open area. Our 2 dogs spent hours there having a great time. Totally would recommend

Review Highlights - Bandix Dog Park

An enclosed small dog area (but the small guys like to hang with the sweet big guys).

Sophie, our 3 year old doggie, loved zooming through the woodsy areas and just had a great time. We met up with 3 or 4 others, with their dogs well behaved and social as well. It can get a bit muddy as expected, so just be ready to clean off paws later. We had Sophie wear a little windbreaker light jacket, as once you get in to the woods more deeply it does get chilly. There was a muddy creek, but small, and hear a fun little 'bridge' to go over. Not much for squirrels or chipmunks, but we walked around the perimeter and it was well fenced in. There was also a smaller fenced in area, as you entered the main entrance I think, there are several entry ways, for small doggies. Google the directions and then verify. The first google maps took us way out of the way from a Gig Harbor start point, so we think that the address may not be completely accurate on google maps. Once there we parked in a nearby business lot, and walked over to a secured entry. It had 2 gates to go through, both secured and nice, esp for excited pets. We brought along our usual, poo bags, treats to practice recall skills, water bottle, and travel dish. You can spend up to 1-2 hours walking about and meandering through the little internal off trails. The trails are easy around the perimeter, and then more hilly and rustic in the interior towards the little creek.

I honestly loved this dog park it was a little tricky to find for me signs aren't that noticeable. Besides that there's no parking you kinda have to park on the side of the road. You hike up this hill to get to the dog area. It's all nature and they also have down below an area for the dogs to just run and play together! Stella absolutely had a blast also if you scared of snakes beware their there. Also they have water so if you like to bring a gallon and leave it do so! Help the dog park out don't be selfish.

It's a good dog park. People seem to keep it clean enough and in decent shape. What I love about it…read moremost is that there is the small area which not too many dogs come into so my little guy can really just roam around and watch the big dogs in the other area. It's super fun to watch the big dogs run and play real hard as they do, but I'm always looking for the puppies and young dogs to come play with my very old toy poodle here. I've encountered some very nice people and I always appreciate meeting people who love and take good care of their furry ones. It's amazing how many people actually have rescue dogs, like I do, from Humane Society and other rescue centers. I'm a complete believer in the idea those of us who can, actually make the effort two help those dogs that have been thrown away. It's pretty clear that these dog park going families care about their dogs because they're here taking time in the dog park rather than just putting their dog out in their backyard or walking them in their own neighborhoods. It takes time to drive to a dog park, especially this one for me, but it's worth it. Oh, and attach to the park is a walking trail.

Everyone we have encountered has been very friendly and respectful of each other's pets. The reason I'm giving this dog park three out of five stars (but truly hope to update this to a higher score once spring has sprung) is that it is not very well-kept. The benches are very crooked and extremely dirty, and there is a number of very large puddles in the walkway near the entrance. Yes, I realize this is Washington state... But it's quite simple to redirect the flow of water in a place like this, that is so intentionally landscaped. I certainly don't have a problem with my dogs getting dirty or even muddy, but the amount of water that gathers is a little bit ridiculous. I'm hoping that as spring hits the Kitsap parks department will do a little bit more for maintenance and his dog park... Will definitely keep coming because we love the other people that go, and their dogs.
